I managed to get it running using a Conan Exile based Profile. Sadly no 3D effect at all (neither G3D nor Z3D). And I had to replace the NPClient64.dll (found in EVERSPACE™ 2\ES2\Plugins\TrackIR\Source\ThirdParty\NPClient\Win64) with the one shipped with VorpX, so it could connect the TrackIR emulation. That works quite well now.

I want to fix my Unreal Engine 4 game now.
The base profile provided by vorpx is that one of Conan Exiles. After copying from this,
then added exe file on it,I succeeded in implementing g3d in a few other games . For example, Ace Combat7 is that one.
But the problem is the depth of the hud.
Basically it has zero value
But in game of the conan exiles , as you said, when I moving the 3 vorpx HUD sliders then it changes the depth and size of the hud. That means hud working at 3d
But in the ace combat7 game which I want to fix when I move the slider but it doesn’t make any changes at all.
How can i solve this?

first, you need to know what engine the game uses.
second, you need to find a game in the profile list (or sometimes cloud profile list) which uses the same profile, for example unreal engine 4.
third, you need to make a copy of that profile and then attach the exe of your game to that profile.

next, try to start the game, maybe it will hook and maybe 3D will work (Z3D or/and g3D), but maybe it wont, if that’s the case, you can try another game profile using the same engine.

sometimes for 3D to work, you need to launch the game in windowed mode or fullscreen mode, and sometimes you even have to turn off antialiasing or other things like dlss or other stuff.

sometimes it just wont work and you’ll have to ask for a profile in the game wish list thread, sometimes it will, you wont know if you dont try.

fun fact, i remember before shadow of the tomb raider got an official profile, i had it running in Z3D using conan exile profile which runs on a total different game engine, that’s the magic of vorpx for you, but most of the time games with different engines wont hook if you try, ie creating a profile using a unity engine game for a game running on an unreal engine 4 engine will probably not hook.

also dont forget vorpx right now doesnt support vulkan, and dx12 is Z3D only atm.

Not sure what is going on but I was playing this game with G3D on a previous VorpX version.
But on current version it stopped working and now I keep finding profiles on the cloud that were listed also as G3D but right now no one works in G3D….all profiles work with Z3D Normal/Adaptive and those are no close at all on how good it was with G3D.

HELP ? anyone?

I’ve been trying other similar profiles that found as recommended:

Conan exile, Hellblade, Mordhau, and Edith Finch but no luck so far.

Remnant from the Ashes is Unreal4 what other profiles I could check?

Anyone been playing this one at least to confirm why is not working anymore?

Thanks – that’s really good info! Switched to using a copy of the Conan Exiles profile, and selected that executable. Still can’t seem to get it to even try to hook. There’s some kind of very quick flash of something that comes up when I start Pacify, but I don’t get the Vorpx dialog box as far as I can tell.

Portal 2 definitely works, and is very cool to see.

It works with the Conan Exiles profile. Make sure you select the right executable, pacify-win64-shipping.exe, not pacify.exe.

Unreal engine, dx12 by default but dx11 can be activated with a command line switch or maybe in the steam launcher (I have the GOG version). RDR2 profile works for dx12, I tried Conan Exiles with dx11 and got G3D, but there was a lot of shader flickering. Probably a different profile would work better, but I haven’t had a chance to look any further.

Unreal engine profiles (e.g. Conan Exiles) appear to do G3D if you crank the strength up to max. I’d look more into it if I actually planned on playing the game (not one to turn down a freebie).

I doubt that the profile has anything to do with your issue. I played the game for about an hour using the Conan Exiles profile, and while the 3D had issues, it didn’t lock up SteamVR.

sometimes even games running on different engines work in Z3D.
for example before official shadow of the tomb raider profile, i was able to run the game in Z3D using conan exile profile and it’s been the case for some others games (with various vorpx profiles) :D
dont ask me why, i guess it’s vorpx magic haha.

The Borderlands 3 profile works better than the Conan one and supports Z3D, which, given the foliage in the game, looks better to me.

hello,

i tried to share my profile but it doesnt work, i get message “this profile was created by another user”… wtf, this is a first. i think i’m getting a bug here.

anyway, i just wanted to inform you that this game is amazing and works great in G3D.

use conan exile profile, make a copy, attach the game.exe (the one in BSSA2/binaries/win64), and tweak the profile to your liking ingame.

turn post fx to low else, there is some visual glitches, turn fps limit to off, also vsync, and set fov to 110 (or you can set fov to 120 in ini gameusersettings (in Users\username\AppData\Local\BASS2\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor), if you have a glitch around character when you launch the game, turn off both “shadows” settings to low and set them back to what you want.

i’m having a blast with this game with vorpx in G3D, i hope you’ll enjoy it as well.

wish i could share my profile but it doesnt work and once again i dont know why.
