so I got the Cyberpunk 2077 profile to hook to Vanguard! which is already pretty cool , playing this
game in immersive screen is really fun, however the 3D does not seem to work.. obviously there is the Z3D Normal and Adaptive option but does not seem to work, maybe something in the game Graphic settings is preventing it ? anyone would know?
It definitely has depth buffer as its showing in Reshade.
Secondly the first opening level is almost unplayable due to the flashing and glowing lights / shadows? green red bright colour distortions are really annoying, I could only reduce them to go to Ultra settings but wonder if anyone knows how to reduce these glares with what Graphic settings? Shadows? Reflections?
You can check whether the mod is installed correctly by browsing to your [CP2077]\bin\x64 folder. It should contain a file named version.dll (that’s the main hooking DLL from the Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework) and a folder named plugins. In that folder you should see two files: cyber_engine_tweaks.asi and vpxCP2077.asi, as well as another folder named cyber_engine_tweaks. A few more folders and files should also exist, but I’d assume that all is installed fine if the aforementioned are all there.
If in doubt reinstall the mod using the latest installer for Cyberpunk 1.6.
BTW: I just checked whether the VD Streamer interferes without actually using VD, but at least for me it didn’t.
BTW2: Also check whether Oculus is selected in the mod’s config app. SteamVR should only be used for native SteamVR headsets.
1. Cyberpunk 2077
2. The Witcher 3 (Ego Mod)
3. Deus Ex Mankind Divided
4. Metal Gear Solid 5 (Ego Mod)
5. Dying Light 1+2
6. Watch Dogs 1 (Ego Mod)
7. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag
so, I don’t make you the video, but I do it for you written the tutorial.
first go to this site https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home and look for the game you want to create the profile, qi you should see the graphics engine with which the game is developed and the api it uses (dx9 dx11 right 12)
once found go to this site
https://rjkole.com/gamestuff/engines/
here you will find the games divided by graphic engine, select an engine to understand which existing profile you can go to modify.
open vorpx
click on the vorpx icon at the bottom right of your desktop and go to local profile or cloud profile and look for a game that uses the graphics engine you are interested in, click on the name of the game and then click on the option on the right “create new profile based on this one “, Type the name of the game in the box that appears and then click on create.
once created, select the profile and click on add file, and select the executable of the game you are interested in.
Done.
Two considerations. Lately the games are mostly made with unreal engine 4 and unity, but beware, if the game only works with dx12 you have to use the cyberpunk 2077 profile regardless of the graphics engine with which the game is developed.
Some games developed with dx12 can be launched in dx11 by adding the command -dx11 in the properties of the link of the executable and in this case you will have to create a specific profile of the game engine, I hope I have explained myself, I am Italian and this post has been translated with google translator.
Try the free mod from VorpX, it has directVR. Works better for me.
Mod VR settings: DirectVR and Ultra.
Cyberpunk 20770 settings:
scaling the resolution: turn everything off only FidelityFX sharpness on
Works okay with my RTX 3070, good graphics but not perfectly smooth
I have a 3080, and can launch the game fine, but it looks awful! Anyone want to share their resolution and graphics settings so I can try this out without barfing? lol.
Does anyone have the profile for the Cyberpunk HUD fix?
Version alpha 7 of the mod is now available. This update adds compatibility with Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 and contains some smaller fixes and improvements.
Was quite a bit of work. Fairly weird that any fixes on the mod side were necessary at all, but now it’s finally time to enjoy Cyberpunk 1.6 in all it’s VR glory with motion controller gestures.
As always, you can grab the latest version here.
If you want to play the game with the regular vorpX, you should have received a profile database update. If not, download the updated profile on the cloud profiles page of the config app.
As far as the mod version is concerned:

The free VR mod no longer works for me since version 1.6. It’s been working very well for me so far.
Since version 1.6 the game only starts in the flat version and ignores the VR mod.
The paid version of VorpX still works, however the VR experience is very poor.
Is there any way to reactivate the free VR mod in Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 ?
If you are talking about the stand alone mod to run Cyberpunk2077 in VR, it requires an update after CDPR release the 1.6 version.
Ralf is already working on it.
Just downloaded the cyberpunk vr file installed it in the correct folder and the game will not launch in vr. Could someone shed light on somthing I’m doing wrong ?
Hi Ralf, i knew you were working on updating your stand alone mod as it require the new CET, but i didn’t know (or i forgot) it was tied to the old profile from Vorpx.
I’m may be one of the few that play Cyberpunk2077 the old way in theater view with Z3D only.
I was thinking my problem could be linked with openXR, as even when i set “openXR” in vorpx, steamVR always launch, nomatter what.
