RJK’s Engine Checker page is quite helpful for starters.

I’ve seen another spreadsheet somewhere that shows a lot of games that have been tested for working 3D, but don’t have it on me right now.

@ morbidexpression: takes a little bit longer than originally estimated, probably around May 20th or a few days later.

@ Phantomroro: Final Fantasy XV will have G3D, it’s one of those cases though where I would recommend Z3D despite G3D being available – mostly for performance reasons and some shadow glitches. Default will be Z3D, but you can switch to G3D if you have a (very) fast machine.

Hello, i would like to point to 2 game engines, each with quite a few games in its list, not yet supported by vorpX as it seems.

    RenderWare
    Vision

If we had a Vision profile, we could beat for example: Gothic 4, Grotesque Tactics, Orcs must Die, Helldorado ect.

With RenderWare i am not very much shure how many titles are DX9 though.

    Sacred 2 (G3D)

This is a game that may take your attention for months. One of my favorite 3D Vision games where i partly rewrote the music and modded around a little, i was surprised myself that i got it to work so fast with vorpX in Geometry Mode tonight.

-Get the profile from the cloud.

This profile is using Cinema Mode (G3D) so headtracking can be used. FullVR works also, but not recommended because headtracking sticks to screen.
    -Exclude S2gs.exe. from VorpX.
Sacred 2 may disappear on start when clicking mouse too much. Get it back with ALT+TAB.
-use the advanced camera and FOV settings (search google please) for more zoom.

    (German users only)
If you are a fan of the Searphim, but rather want to play the Highelve (with fireballs and stuff) but her voice annoys you, i have made a mod where you can swap these 2 chars voices. Follow this link .

    SAS Secure Tomorrow

    Rename game.exe to: SASST.exe
Assign enable/disable Stereo 3D to right mouse button

Get the profile from the cloud.
The profile based on the Lithtech Jupiter EX engine has more depth then the other ones of the Code of Honor Series because it uses a little trick for the sniper mode. – Pressing the right mouse button pulls up sniper mode in mono allows the 3D strength to be higher, giving a better 3D while normal play.

BTW: you propably can use the Stereo 3D ON/OFF assigned to right mouse button, ( or the key for the sniper mode ) in any other first person shooter in order to provide a better 3D while normal play.

I do not know if the assigned key is stored in a profile, you probably must set this manually in the vorpX config app.

Shadows are buggy in this game, try to disable them. If you experience a black screen follow the instructions

    Code of Honor 3 (G3D)

    Rename game.exe to: COH3.exe

The profile in the cloud is pretty much the same as for COH2. Its a compromise beetween 3D strength and the convergence problem in Sniper mode. If you dont use sniper mode, increase 3D Strength for more realistic 3D.

Note: This game is known for its black screen error on Windows 7 on startup. For the Code of Honor series i suggest using this Black Screen Fix

    Code of Honor 2 (G3D)

Geometry Mode, Headtracking. Sniper Mode looks insane. (Screenshot)
On fast machine choose max settings for shadows for better lighting or turn off completely if shadows look messed up.

Rename game.exe to COH2.exe ! (otherwise the profile wont work)

Real good news Ralf, thank you !

BTW: i came across this today , DX1-11 to openGL Wrapper. Couldnt that be a way to get all those old DX1-8 gamnes to work ?

@ morbidexpression: TESO has been looked into not too long ago before the December update. Doesn’t look good for D3D11 G3D in this case, you should consider it Z3D only due to the removed D3D9 support.

    Ralf,

I’ve made some headway, I see a flicker in the headset after I disabled the GeForce Experience In-Game Overlay, so we’re making progress.

I noticed that when I try to reset the game settings in the config window, the application errors and closes out. See below the error logs for the application. Appears to be a Kernel issue. Additionally, there’s a .NET Runtime issue. See below.

Sorry for the necro, but I haven’t found much more about this and I think it would be an excellent feature, (and something Fallout 4 VR is planning to implement in a couple months.)

Ideally, holding the left trigger would allow for touch aiming as well as the in-game aiming/zooming. So as you held the index-finger trigger on the left controller (right mouse button,) you’d bring up the right controller to aim at the screen as the character brings up the gun to aim down the sights.

It looks like for Fallout 4 VR there isn’t even an aim mode, instead the left trigger teleports the player forward, etc.
