Hi. I am completely new to VorpX. I am using Rift S with my Lenovo Legion Y540 laptop. It has I7 9th gen, RTX 2060 and 32 GB RAM onboard. Display is 1920×1080 px.
I think I tried everything and can’t launch VorpX with most of my games. Only very few of them work with no issues (like Metro 2033 or Fallout New Vegas).
Tried to hook it up with Witcher 3, CP2077, Subnautica Below Zero, 7 days to die, BeamNG Drive, Satisfactory, Space Engineers and many more. I added custom resolutions in NVidia CP, tried to change in-game setting and still nothing :(
Help me please! I don’t know what to do.
Desktop Viewer works perfectly fine. This is not VorpX related, but i think Ralf wouldnt mind me posting this here.
I have just released 1.0 of my german speechmod for Fallout 4. More the 2500 text lines have been recorded in order to replace several unsuitable NPC voices.
Because Microsoft is Microsoft, they’ve made the file system handling for their Microsoft Store/Xbox for PC games extremely locked down and cryptic. Local administrators don’t even have permission to READ the files and if you take ownership, the games stop working. Because of this, I had little hope of VorpX working, but decided to try anyway.
Lo and behold, it works… sometimes. I decided to test games with official local profiles, but since you can’t add processes/files to the official profiles, I had to make a copy of each profile and add the process to the copy while the game was running. (Adding files doesn’t work because you, the owner of your computer, don’t have permission to access the files on it that are installed using the Microsoft Store.)
FALLOUT 76
Works 100%. VorpX seems to detect it correctly and both Geometry 3D and Z3D work. Process name is “Project76_GamePass.exe”.ORI AND THE BLIND FOREST – DEF EDIT
Doesn’t work. I’ve tried the alternative hooking method and running VorpX as admin. VorpX just doesn’t detect it. Process name is “Ori And The Blind Forest Definitive Edition.exe”, but it’s a suspiciously small exe file.DEEP ROCK GALACTIC
Semi-works. I’m using Paradise Decay’s profile and I’ve tested it on the Steam version, where it works pretty well. VorpX detects the Xbox Game Pass version and I’m able to play it on immersive screen, but 3D doesn’t work. Geometry is not available and Z3D is no different from 2D. Process name is “FSD-WinGDK-Shipping.exe”.I’ll test a few more games. Any requests?

Hey everyone
Got my Reverb G2 a couple of days ago and couldn’t be happier with it.
I Decided to try VorpX yesterday since I’ve heard great things about it.
Looked forward to trying out Battlefront 2 with it since it was a supported title, but I just couldn’t get it to hook. Went back to the essential tips and looked at numerous support sections. But I just can’t get it to work. Everytime I try to start a game it just loads up on my main screen like there’s no headset.
I get no Vorpx logo or indication that it is actually interacting with the game.
Titles I’ve tried so far:
SW Battlefront 2
Fallout 4
Metro ExodusAtleast one of these titles should work in my opinion.
I’ve tried disabling all overlays and uninstalled malwarebytes. I’ve done a reinstall of VorpX but nothing really changes.
Am i going in the wrong order?
1. Plug in my reverb G2 power
2. Put on headset.
3. WMR loads with cliffhouse
4. I start Vorpx from desktop
5. I load the metro exodus profile from “local profiles”
5. I start Steam VR
6. I run the game which tells me it’s not natively supporting VR.
7. The game loads up as a normal desktop game anyway. Some Specs

/JonSomeone just implemented AMD’s FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening for Fallout 4 VR, it looks excellent. Also works with Skyrim VR.
It replaces the openvr_api.dll. Theoretically it would work with any openvr game with a dll version for each.
Could something like this be implemented/useful in Vorpx, or am I confusing myself?
