The Park looks neat! Have to check it out, thanks.
Hitman 2016 (G3D/Z3D)

Managed to get both Geometry and Z-normal working with separate profiles, so I uploaded both to try. G3D yields a slight halo effect around 47 and NPCs, so Z3D is probably my preferred – looks near as good at this distance.
Game FOV is slightly lower than I had hoped, but is still very playable in curved cinema.
– set to Direct3D11 in launcher
– use 16:9 resolution (1920×1080)
*Play in edgepeek mode or use forced FOV Enhancement if FOV feels too low
*Set G3D Shadow Treatment to OFF to disable bad shadows (Auto for ON)
*Free Demo available on Steam
Sniper Elite V2 (Z3D)

I tried a long time to find Geometry for this one (for those bone-shattering bullet cams 😁) but failed. The world looks quite nice in Z-normal cinema though, so I’m happy with it. Cutscenes look great too.
– before each launch, pause vorpX Watcher. Once game launcher is ready, resume Watcher and click Play
– use a 16:9 resolution (1920×1080)
*Using in game supersampling can disable 3D
Dark Sector (G3D)
Because of its millions of different light sources it was very hard to create a profile (still not finished, only about 90% but if you can accept a few things this 3rd person shooter could be a nice VR journey.)
The game has (timing ?) problems with starforce and vorpX, version 1.01 will work, though it takes a few tries before VorpX successfully hooks. )
Very important settings required:
– update to v.1.01
– use “borderless gaming”, deselect everything exept “keep window in foreground”.
– close vorpx configurator !
– add this:
Graphics.DisplayAspectRatio=FullScreen4x3
Graphics.FOV=120
somewhere beneath:
[Windows_Config,/Types/Config]
in DS.cfg
– Turn OFF any graphics setting like fog ect.If you dont, you may experience bad lighting effects and Halos.
– Dont touch 3D-Fov enhancement ! – use game FOV (see above) instead
– Use antialiasing in Nvidia Panel
– Use edgepeek mono if text converges too much (or lower 3D Strength)
– Profile availiable from the cloud, FULL VR w. Headtracking
Notes: Quite often faint Halos around objects under certain light angles, convergence problems with footnotes. Very precise shooting !

Hello,
Because i noticed this during some recent game fixes i think its worth mentioning. Some DX9 games are not terminating properly. After shutting down their executables remain in taskmanager and must be terminated manually. Some games are Halo 2, Dreamfall: Longest Journey, Iron Man so far.
In VorpX log i found a WRN:
WRN: OpenVRDirectModeManager Submit Error: 101 101 0
Can anyone confirm this ?
I forgot:
– theres a Profile in the vorpX cloud for this game
Tonight i was going to play a new game but ended up making a Halo 2 Profile…
Halo 2 (G3D)
This game is a mess concerning wrong crosshair, huge hands and resolutions,
But after some tweaking i have managed to create a G3D profile which let you if you are a fan of the game play it in a relatively decent way.
– If the game is too fast or studders , set VSync to ON or Adaptive in the Nvidia settings. (if you have a Nvdidia card).
– If the crosshair is annoying you (rendered at wrong position) you can completely disable it with this fix .Put the content into the game folder where your halo2.exe is located. Ignore the readme.txt ! (Note: its a fix for 3D Vision i wrote a while ago, we are lucky, it works with vorpX too.). For this case ignore VorpXs message.
– Best resolution is 1600×1200, higher settings then 1920×1200 will not work, the game has a fixed ratio when choosing different resolutions.
– The games freezes when shutting down, you must terminate it through the taskmanager.

Uhm, will this make rift 2.0 work with vorpx? The only way I seem to be able to get it work is by going back to the old, classic rift interface (which will be phased out eventually). I downloaded the vorpx desktop viewer that you have in a stickied thread, but that did not work.
I tried opening haloce.exe, but I just got what looked like a generic, undecorated app window with the word loading at the bottom of it. Also the frame rate got extremely bad and everything was very choppy. I only got it to work when I rolled back the rift home, but that option won’t be available forever.
Just an update on lenova if when starting mixed reality portal if ur choosing seated look left and right but dont look down at floor if u do when u play halo recruit you will be viewing from floor and tracking wont work, now i got halo recruit to work properly . As for steam vr i can only use the big screen program and i used iut to play eso in 2d for 3 hours straight. The text chat is super clear and the sides of screen arent blurry i can see the whole screen perfectly and the screen door effect isnt noticeable even in white screens u can barely make out pixels. It is also so light and comfortable with no light leakage from nose area. I recommend this hmd i hope my controller tracking is issue with iogear bluetooth, if not i will return and
get a replacement. As yet no vorpx so no 3d sigh
Sorry that wasn’t written very clearly. Using a phone. Basically:
1) Change your unreal.exe to haloce.exe
2) Launch and set up your game for vr. Resolution, font size, etc.
3) Press delete and select geometry 3d. Add 3d effect to your liking.
That is pretty much as far as I got. Dont know the ideal settings yet for mouse speed, fov etc, but ill investigate and edit this.
Halo 2 reminds me strongly on Unreal 1, escpecially the creatures.
I played Halo 2 last night with a Halo 1 profile i found in the VorpX cloud. Worked fine and fluent with geometry3D. Though i must state the monsters look quite pixely compared to 3D Vision, but thats normal in VR i guess.
BTW: If vorpX would allow DX wrappers like DGVoodoo taking place in the game folder, DX8 and lower games like Halo 1 could be played.
I’ve been playing Halo Custom Edition in my Vive using VorpX for a few weeks now, and it’s fantastic — except for one thing. In Halo’s ingame video setting, I can’t set the refresh rate to the highest setting (75hz) without having to lower the resolution well below 1920×1080. Even though I’ve installed the Custom Edition mod. Is this just a limitation of the game?
But even with 75hz, the frame rate doesn’t feel like 75fps. If my movement gets too crazy, I get woosey. And I never get nauseous in VR. Anyone know how to maximize the frame rate?
with mass effect 2, no halo effect, it is all ok….. only with mass effect 1 and deus ex human revolution with geometry 3d with 1.00 to depth…
For anyone who wants to set up Halo for VR, here are the steps. You can download all the necessary mods at…
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Halo:_Combat_Evolved).
1. Make sure your installed copy of Halo has been updated to the latest version.
2. Download and install the Halo Custom Edition mod.
3. Download and install the Halo widescreen fix mod.
4. Download and install the Halo FOV mod.
5. Open VorpX Configuration, and check the Cloud files for Halo settings. If one exists for Halo, import, then apply and close.
6. Run Halo single player. Open settings a set the resolution to the highest (I believe it’s 1920×1080). Once in game, hit the F6 key to increase the Field Of View by moving the mouse up and down. Once you find a comfortable spot, hit F6 again to lock it.
My personal preference is to go into the VorpX settings during gameplay, and increase the 3D Separation to really make the 3D pop. I’m still looking for a mod to get rid of the crosshairs. I also don’t know if there’s a 1st person mod for vehicles, but I guess I could get used to 3rd person during vehicle sequences if I had to.
If there is no way to adjust the FOV of the game high enough either in the game itself or with a tool like Flawless Widescreen, your best bet is the method described in the “1-2-3 Game Setup” in the vorpX help: reducing the Image Zoom value until the FOV feels natural. That always works (at the expense of black bars).
For Halo CE it might also work with the following mod that apparently adds adjustable FOV (never tried it myself though): http://www.modacity.net/forums/showthread.php?24960-HAC-2-Release
So, I’m really hating the Halo’s around the meshes and think I want to try Geometry. I set most of my settings back to vanilla and am only using 2 graphics mods, Purity and the LITE version of the HD 2k textures mod. I also turned off shadows and set the foliage size to 100 (means barely any foliage at all). It looks horrid and I’m getting a super low framerate in some areas and a sub 90 in most places. I have a 980Ti that I put into OC mode as well as an i7 4790k at 4.4 GHz. Is this performance on this card normal? It runs Crysis3 in Geometry far better than Skyrim at near bare minimum settings.
