    Hey, thanks a lot!
Migcar, your settings didn’t remove the ring (wow and if you play with these, you’re killing your eyes mate!), I believe because you only shared settings for the existing profile and not a new profile. But thanks to Zeveral’s advice I was able to find and hide the ring shader myself, as well as fix a bunch of light halo’s depth. It’s perfect now! :D
I might publish my profile once I’ve played enough to make sure it’s really perfect.

Any news on if VorpX will/could work with the newly released Halo Reach? I tried it, but nothing hooked. Does anyone know the DirectX version and if its possible to use VorpX with it? Thanks

The Vampyr Profile works good in z3d except for some halos.

Yeah EAC blocks injection, making it hard to play newer games since so many use it now. I just learned that following Gears 5, Halo:MCC PC will also use EAC :\

We still have our fingers crossed that vorpX can make the whitelist (as versions of ReShade and other apps have), and are still waiting to hear if progress has been made since Ralf and EAC were last in contact about it.

This is often on my mind, but I haven’t wanted to pressure a response from Ralf before he’s ready. That both parties sounded optimistic at the time still gives me hope :)

Until then, people have resorted to finding cheat trainer software online that bypass EAC for some games. Due to the risks and questionable legality of installing such softwares, Ralf has asked us not to post links or discuss details here.

I did do a bit of creative googling though, and lets just say if you wanted to, you might find a current possibility for Gears 5. At your own risk of course.

Also note that we’ve yet to hear a success story from playing any game through the Windows Store. It seems to have it’s own drm injection prevention. Too bad, since GamePass seems quite the deal.

Yes, it builds the 3D scene using the in-game depth-maps, similar to TriDef “Power 3D” etc. So it does create the same types of halos/distortion as all other similar 3D methods. But, it’s really pretty darn good overall, with a lot of settings and can provide pretty darn good results in many cases. The lack of a performance hit is also great (running FO4 (even with uGrids set to 7), the Witcher 3, MEA, etc. at 2560×1440 on any reasonably modern card is easy, for example.)

Hello, I would like to report a graphic error that I am getting with this game in particular, I have tried to turn off some options to check a possible solution but without success.

With the reconstruction 3D Geometry, around the ingame characters, I get an annoying visible halo.
The only way to make it disappear was to decrease the 3D force, however, if I use this, it also causes the almost total loss of 3D and depth.

Without too many technicalities, I would say that both solutions have their advantages and disadvantages.

On the one hand G3D feels like real 3D, for me it is wonderful and impressive, being my preferred method.
I appreciate the relief of objects at short and medium distance and depth, and as long as my framerate allows it, I prefer to use this reconstruction. On the contrary it consumes enough resources, and Unfortunately…it is not always easy or possible to fix shadows and other effects perfectly.

On the other hand, Z-3D would define it as a simulated “3D” effect, normally it is quite less noticeable, although depending on each game, sometimes I can obtain more remarkable results, and sometimes not so much.
Particularly, I like it and it helps me a lot in open environments and I found some concrete examples in Vorpx, with very good Z 3d profile.
Z-3D does not have so many problems with shadows and effects, and one of its biggest advantages is performance, because unlike geometry, Z-3D consumes much less resources.

To cite some negative point, sometimes we can see a small halo or transparent bubble on the edges of certain objects, along with a less noticeable 3D effect.

In short, I love having both methods, and I need both if possible, to be able to choose accordingly, according to each specific case.

This is weird because you are using DGVoodoo2, vorpx should hook into the game when using the base profile.(Not one game i have tried so far refused to work, though many were 2D only) the only thing i can imagine is the remake is using iether OpenGL or DX9. To verify this try different DX9 profiles with the game eg. Tombraider Legend, Halo ect. or try an openGL profile eg. Quake4, Descent2. Also make shure that you add the proper games executable to the profile. IF vorpx is hooking with one of the methods above and you have no 3D, you can put the game on the wishlist.

Also, what base profile did you use?? I used Halo.
And what resolution do you recommend to use with your profile??

Thanks Ralf. Though I encourage people to also add games that require tweaking to work perfectly. Halo, for example, was a great experience in VR, once the proper mods were applied.

I’m not sure the older profiles ever did work, and so far I haven’t had any luck finding Z3D.

The G3D i think is running from a unity profile, and as you noticed, not perfect. Have to disable the shadows and HUD only shows in one eye. I recall a slight occlusion halo effect around Max when looking at certain light sources, but I don’t remember stereo being as severely impacted as you describe. A certain game setting perhaps?

I can take another look with the shader tool a bit later, but we might just have to settle with what we’ve got. With as many profiles I tried failing outright, it already works better than I had expected.

Ralf: I’ve been curious. Is there a reason no unity profiles offer Z3D? is it not possible for Unity engine, or was simply overlooked?

I would love to bring back child memories with this gem! Jonny can you plz guide us in making it work…what do you mean with “Geometry 3d is available too if changing to .exe to haloce”?

Out of the box, there is quite a bit of light bleed for some people because the angle of the faceplate to the halo is just bad. Modding it (with elastics or velcro) to pull in the face plate closer so you can wear the halo properly fixes everything. Some people don’t have that issue.

The headphones are great. Same as the DAS.

    HITMAN 2 (G3D/Z3D)

G3D cinema works about the same in game 2 (with minor NPC halos) but has a slight focus stutter blur thing going on that I could not figure out. So again, I may prefer the Z3D alternative, but G3D is still good once accustomed. Both now on the cloud for Rift and Pimax4k. Pick your poison.

    – set Exclusive Fullscreen for 3D to work
    – use a 16:9 resolution (1920×1080)

*Disable shadows with G3D Shadow Treatment
*Tested shaders on Demo missions only so far
