Hellgate London (!)Oct 26, 2018 at 5:20pm #176161Topic: Since the new update Skyrim becomes unplayable
in forum Technical Support
3DPOParticipantHello,
right the moment after the new update 18.3.0 installed on my computer Skyrim crashed. This happens everytime after max. 3 minutes when I load a savegame. It doesn’t matter which…
I changed nothing on my system between the time when Skyrim worked (with the vorpX version before) and after the patch. I even installed the update a few more times and checked and try all the options in vorpX a thousand times. Before this I’ve played Skyrim for months! without problems. The reason must be the new vorpX-version.
It would be a very great idea to make earlier versions of vorpX available to download for exactly this kind of reasons! Some info on my system and Skyrim:
I have a GTX 1070 (8G VRAM), i7 3720, 8 GB RAM, SSD-HDD, I’m playing on Win 7 x64, using a Pimax 4k (btw. best 3D goggle I’ve tried)
Skyrim is Legendary version, a lot of mods but a very clean install, I also using ENB injector (never causes problems before), SKSE loader…What strange thing I recognize when playing was that for some reason (only after update of vorpX) it can’t really attach to Skyrim. I have the normal g3d view and I can also enter vorpX menu and change everything but in the background appears the message that it can’t attach to skyrim and asks me to close the program…
Why this occurs now with the update? Please help me, I’m addicted to vorpX ×DD

RJK_ParticipantLegendary (G3D)
The profile is quite a compromise beetween FUll VR and Cinema Modes because some objects are rendered at HUD deptch. Though you can play it in both modes.
– optimized for Cinema Modes (looks nicer, more FOV)
– turn down 3D FOV enhancement if using a FOV Mod
– Profile availiable from the cloudSep 1, 2018 at 3:24pm #175072Topic: can you run Skyrim VR with Vorpx
in forum General vorpX Discussion
praxis22ParticipantGeometry 3D mode with Oldrim (Legendary Edition) is amazing, but can you run Skyrim VR (tweaked SSE) with VorpX?
Apr 24, 2018 at 4:31pm #172563In reply to: Skyrim or Skyrim SE + Skyrim VR Question
GrumdarkParticipant@Viscus1197
Most mod usually work with Skyrim and Vorpx, including those that require SKSE, there are some exceptions that may have conflict. Mostly related to changes in camera. ENB and preset graphics however, do not work for me, except some injector version + some memory fix.Personally, for Vorpx, I prefer to use the Skyrim Legendary Edition.
Regarding the native VR version, I prefer one or the other, depending on my approach. If I’m going to use a magic-oriented class or arcs and crossbows, I personally prefer the native version and use the motion controllers and some tweaks.
For melee-oriented class, I prefer Vorpx and Skyrim, and also if I’m going to play in the third person, I can benefit from Vorpx, which allows me to do it in several ways.
both have advantages and disadvantages, the ones that bother me the most with the use of Vorpx, are the sizes of hands and arms, do not allow uncoupling head / neck, not being able to use preset ENB graphics that I might like, or the lack of movement for controllers .
Feb 21, 2018 at 1:37pm #171087Topic: Skyrim which version
in forum Game Hints and Settings
nilezParticipantI know previously it was recommended to get legendary edition over special edition,
is this still the case with the new vorpx version?Jul 21, 2017 at 2:44pm #165850Topic: Skyrim Legendary & SKSE
in forum Game Hints and Settings
DrReaperParticipantI am having some trouble getting Vorpx and Skse to launch. Can anyone describe how to set my startup to launch SKSE and Vorpx together?
Issue: Lunch TESV.exe and Vorpx launches. If I launch SKSELoader.exe Vorpx doesn’t inject.
I did get it to work one time but I can’t remember how or what I did to make it work. I can’t replicate it.Apr 23, 2017 at 3:24pm #127936In reply to: Skyrim and ENB
nieda113ParticipantAre you using Rift or Vive?
Is Skyrim + ENB working on the screen (not with VorpX, the normal flat screen).
Is Skyrim working without ENB with VorpX?
Which SKyrim is this – the Classic or SSE?
Are you trying to use only ENB Boost or some ENB preset?Hi yes Skyrim (normal version legendary) , CV1 , runs fine on win10 with enb reshade and whatever. As soon as i will use it with vorpx i will have a black screen and only sound. I can use the enb boost .
I cant use any preset since enb doesnt work with vorpx
I tested several enb version including the latest 3.0XXX
I tried all settings in the proxy part, even to inject the enb twice by using the enbinjector.hope that helps..
Jan 30, 2017 at 12:07pm #125571Topic: Skyrim Water level bug
in forum General vorpX Discussion
Heathen72ParticipantHey all, I am having a similar problem to the one szeliga90 described in his post here:
… Whenever I move my headset up and down (changing angle not position) water changes its level. It’s visible most of all when I look at the river from the top of a mountain, and when I change the angle of my head about 45 degrees river can loose even 50% of its depth. That doesn’t happen at all when I moving ‘character’ head using mouse. Any idea what could causing it?
I’ll add to this that the level of the water surface appears to change even when I am in the map screen, based on the orientation of my headset (a Vive). It makes for a very nauseating experience whenever I am around water.
I was using some of the same mods as szeliga90 was using (Static Mesh Improvement and Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch) but disabling them has done nothing, so I have deleted the game and am trying a completely vanilla install. But if there is a simple answer to the problem I would really appreciate it.
Dec 3, 2016 at 7:37pm #123376In reply to: Skyrim Special Edition
nieda113ParticipantI know that one dosnt need a mod manager for using vorpx , but a serious gamer always modifies his game to his own prefernce though. As for skse most good mods are using skse and a modded skyrim legendary is at the moment far better than skyrimse. I have both installed and modded so i know . Just to let u know 1500 mods vs 95 mods.My post was just informational because Mod Organizer doesnt run on vorpx.NMM does!
The reason is that mod organizer is far better for using mods than nmm.But unfortunately mod organizer is not developed any further.
I confirm that NMM SKSE Vorpx run perfectly.Oct 24, 2016 at 11:38am #121921In reply to: Skyrim on the Vive – good hands, bad water
szeliga90Participant[Imagespace]
bDoDepthOfField=0
iRadialBlurLevel=0I had the same problem with water but settings above didn’t solve it. Instead I’ve used this mode Green Water Fix mode and it’s working.
I also have other problem with water. I had it before I installed Green Water Fix. So whenever I moving my headseat up and down (changing angle not posittion) water changing it’s level. It’s visiable most when I looking on the river from the top off the mountain, when i change the angle of my head about 45 degrees river can loose even 50% of it deepth. That doesn’t happening at all when I moving ‘character’ head using mouse. Any idea whay could cousing it? I’ve got 2k textures, Static Mesh Improvment and Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch mods installed, but to be fair I left the copy of original Skyrim instalation folder in steamapps\common and I just swap them over to test is that happening on the modless Skyrim as well, and yes it does (unless above modes changing any files in other Skyrim directories).
So… any ideas? Google doesn’t help, all skyrim-water releted problems seems to be about being unable to see underwater…
Aug 8, 2016 at 6:29pm #105349In reply to: Titan Pascal Vs VorpX Skyrim
FredthehoundParticipantOK folks, Part 2.
Before we get started, let me explain a couple things that are important to understand when modding skyrim, regardless of what CPU or graphics card you have. the Creation engine, running DX9, was old when Skyrim released and was a kludge of sorts based on the old Gamebryo. Without getting into detail, lets just generalize and say it has issues. Memory management being among them. And many of the problems encountered modding Skyrim, and that includes VR modding, stem from those.
Fortunately there are fixes/workarounds out there for many of them. Skyrim could not be modded without them to the degree it is. They all address one or more issues and some are the literal basis of many a mod besides. These are must installs even if you do not mod Skyrim because they deal with problems that need dealing with, mods or not. I’ll provide the links and you can read up on them from there because there is no point in me rewriting War and Peace…which is what a thorough explaination here would result in …and this ain’t that kinda’ article ;)
Skyrim Script Extender / SKSE / SKSE-Shishon’s Memory Patch
http://skse.silverlock.org/Bug Fixes
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76747/?Crash Fixes
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725/?USLEEP – Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Patch
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71214/?They are the American Express of Modding. Don’t leave home without’em. (Yes, I’m that old ;)
There is one more ‘essential’ that unfortunately we cannot use in VR. ENBoost. This is a memory manager and more that unfortunately VorpX cannot use…at least in theory. There is a version…the ‘Injector’ version, that supposedly work but success stories are unicorns. So for now, I’ll leave discussion on that out. Hopefully at some point, someone will sort it out because it is a great program and solves many, many issues.
———————————–OK. So with the memory patches and assorted fixes in place, we move to the meat of the issue. Skyrim 2K texture pack / Lite version.
From the Nexus page:
“Explanation FULL/LITE:
FULL – All the textures are at the maximum resolution. Average is around 4x the official HD DLC.
LITE – All the textures are at 50% of the FULL Version. Average is around 2x the official HD DLC.”
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/? ”While twice the rez of the official texture pack, the lite version of this one is actually less heavy on resources than the official version, looks better and is pretty damn nice to look at. But surely something that much more detailed than the stock textures HAS to be a framerate killer right? RIGHT????
Well lest we forget, we installed better memory management above. And because of those few changes and fixes, Skyrim is now a very different animal than it used to be. Normal rules have been altered a bit. Remember that in bone stock trim, I was seeing solid 43-45FPS on the WRF/FRW runs. The only dips below that were on cell loads and changes which CANNOT be totally eliminated.
———Whiterun/Riverwood/Falkreath (WRF run) and back:
No change in minimum framerates. In fact, thanks to those managers and fixes, the framerate counter was most often 44-45.5. It got FASTER. Not slower. Faster. Ever so slightly, but it’s there. Now consider this is still at 8xAA, 16x AO and 2.0 upscaling. This included day/evening, night and sun/rain.
And it ‘felt’ more responsive. It was smooth before. As I said. This is now a different animal altogether. The CPU and GPU are still just casually cruising along with no effort on their part.
——————————–
OK now how does it look? Well, as you’d expect, it looks considerably better. It’s not yet at Witcher 3 levels because no lighting or weather mods are in yet, but there is no mistaking a significant visual boost. And at ZERO FPS cost and quite literally, for 20 min of modding, including downloading the files.
Next up will be the killer. Skyrim Flora Overhaul. I will be using the ‘regular version rather than the newest because the regular is hard enough on the system. In VR, the full/new version is too intensive to deal with, even for a Titan. However, the regular version is a sight to behold and transforms the game into something far more ‘realistic’ looking.
OK, thats it for now. Time for bed ;)

Hello,
right the moment after the new update 18.3.0 installed on my computer Skyrim crashed.
Geometry 3D mode with Oldrim (Legendary Edition) is amazing, but can you run Skyrim VR (tweaked SSE) with VorpX?
Topic: Skyrim which version
I know previously it was recommended to get legendary edition over special edition,
is this still the case with the new vorpx version?Topic: Skyrim Legendary & SKSE
I am having some trouble getting Vorpx and Skse to launch.
I can’t replicate it.Topic: Skyrim Water level bug
Hey all, I am having a similar problem to the one szeliga90 described in his post here:
