There’s no Mass Effect 4, LOL… Nice try, though. ;-)
So Ralf I am sorry to make you upset! In fact I am a long time user of Vorpx and I read all stuff carefully. I added custom resolutions long time ago, I remember I did that when I had problems with Bioshock Infinite a year ago.
But I added much more custom resolutions yesterday. At least that shouldnt hurt, right?
I restarted Deus Ex HR then and could really change the quality from decent to ultra. Before it did not work! The game also looks now much better.
I later tried Dishonored 2, which also seems to take profit from the new resolutions. It now looks as good as it gets for a game not having geometry 3D.
Also Mass Effect Legendary works now much better with the new resolutions.
I guess that I did not add the very high resolution options before, also I added some fancy 5:4 or 8:9 resolutions now.
Is Mass Effect LE now working, or do you have to use the old versions for vr?
Thanks, Gairnok
Yeah in Mass Effect Legendary, I can’t switch 3d profiles anymore without the screen going distorted with lines until I restart. It’s broken…
Change level of fidelity. Medium or low.

Has the Mass Effect 3 profile been updated for legendary? I have 0 problems with ME 1 and 2, but 3 refuses to hook and I can’t even install the hook helper. The original version does work, but I don’t have all the DLCs for it.
I’ve been having issues with mass effect 3 LE hooking. 1 & 2 hook with no problem but not 3. I’ve tried all the steps when a game doesn’t work but with no luck. I’m using samsung odyssey with 10th generation i7, rtx 3060ti, 16gb ram and win 10. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Fully agree that for FullVR, the magic “reality” formula should be adhered to as much as possible, to prevent throwing one thing or another out of whack, causing an imbalance.
However, I end up playing a lot of my games in immersive or cinema as you know. Why? Could be bc I have a lower end card, could be because I want to prioritize graphics and sacrifice framerate, could be because its 3rd person, could be just personal preference of wanting a larger fov for a game, etc etc.
And I think in these cases, most of the rules could be thrown out the window. Want a massive fov? Go for it. Want that dollhouse effect? Do it. I would say the more options the better, but lock them to the cinema modes perhaps to prevent people shooting themselves in the foot for FullVR.
Just my 2 cents. I think VorpX is great as-is, but there are times where I wish I could have a bit more of that 3D pop for certain situations.
I can feel Ralf rolling his eyes hard right now. hahaha. ;)
I bought ME Legendary yesterday on Steam and installed it. When I tried to log in I also must start my origin account. So I did and the game is playable.
Then I quit the game, started VorPx and launched the game. First of all it seems to start first without VorPx and a few seconds later with VorPx, so there are two instances started.
With the VorPx version no profile seems to hook so I need to configure all myself. I tried that but with not much success. The result is just not impressive. Someone recommended 4:3 resolution what I also did, but then I get only a smaller window.
So can someone give some advice how to have the best possible game experiemce here?
I find that this update with the Mass Effect Legendary 1 profile works really well with both #1 and 2, but does not want to hook into #3 so far- is this a known issue?
[the supported games list does not yet show this new profile, but is in the menu]
Is the Direct Vr utility still present but does not work for ME LE ?
[really secretly hoped to play it in full direct VR]
Great job as always, playing the remaster in VR is just wonderful, they’ve upgraded the character models in high res and the locations and weather, and lighting etc., just makes it so beautiful to be “inside” that world.
Thanks again!

There is now a First Person mod for the LE trilogy and I’m currently trying to setup the best settings for Full VR. Anyone else try yet?
Thanks for the heads-up on that. I hope it works well. I had one for MEA that worked pretty well, but I never finished MEA as I did not enjoy the game itself much. Even having exploration mode being first person will be great for use in vorpX. (At least for me, even if not in full VR mode, I find that I can play first person games in Z3D without much issue, but it’s very difficult for me to play 3rd person games in Z3D due to the constant distortion around ‘me’ being so distracting.)

up to now, I have played for years only via vorpx and in 3d, but lately the fact of having to always wear the oculus is finding me a bit uncomfortable: today I tried to replay mass effect 2 on a flat screen, and I must say that it wasn’t bad … this without detracting from vorpx
Hello,
Just saw the update and just tested the new mass effect profile. It Works great. There still is some small issues to fix with the 3D geometry so I have to play with the paramaters a little bit to find the right thing but it is good enougb to play so it’s better than nothing.
Thank you very much for the hard work.
