First, in all your testing, have you tried the new alternative hooking method? That may make a difference.
Second, if there is no option to switch to an OpenGL mode, chances are, it is running by default, and you can try any of the profiles from the list above to see if you can find something that works. Just as a shot in the dark, Quake tends to be a pretty defined standard, I’d start with that. Maybe Quake 4? It really depends on what version of OpenGL FFX is using, which would be generally relative to what year it came out. So, again, try to use something with roughly the same time-frame. Chances are, the actual engine underneath the game wasn’t changed for the remake, so I’d go with the release date for the original FFX. But you never know what profile engine ends up working.
But again, if you haven’t tried the alternative hooking method, I’d shoot for that first.
Maybe using one of the resident evil 7 biohazard ‘s profile for vorpx would work for this new resident evil 2 for giving it some Z3D/GD3 aspect ?

man, this is the first thing everyone here tried first. didnt work.
If I knew what everyone did I would not have said it out loud.
But overall , was everyone else be able to start the game in the headset without Z3D/GD3 support?
I dont own a Primax and maybe that’s different, but, with the RE7 profile you can start the game in the headset without Z3D/G3D. My additional problem on the headset is the problem that I have in one eye more images than the other (it might be missing a car for example, but is showing the fog in the end).
So, for example for me, the image above is showing one eye. I would want to know if in both eyes have the same images.
From my point of view, the RE7 profile is broken for RE2 and not reusable and needs something from scratch.
I’m also affected by some problem, I do not know if it’s the same case exactly, but DAO Inquisition is frozen at the launch showing (not responding) in the window.
Vorpx ends up showing me a message with 3 options.
finally, I have to stop the processes in the task window.
Vorpx isn't hooking with DAO Inquisition
I really want to test a new camera mod, and this time I can not even launch the game in any way.
this update has left me with a bit bittersweet taste.
Some very good things but also some quite annoying problems. What worries me the most, is not knowing if there will be a patch of solutions soon or not.
vorpX can only affect games while it is running and enabled. If it is not running or disabled, it cannot have an influnece on anything on your PC.
When it is running vorpX tries to hook into any DiretX9-11 and OpenGL game you start, including many native VR games. You can deal with that in two ways: either by disabling vorpX from the its tray icon right click menu before you start a native VR game or by adding the native game in question to the exclude list in the vorpX config app. vorpX will never try to hook into games/apps on the exclude list.
I have same issue, and this fix (delete Delete vorpControl.ini.old) change nothing
:(
Heuuu
Vorpx worked great until you do an auto update,
and now, Vorpx close after launching…
Do you change something ? Is it alway compatible Windows Seven ?
No, not really. Something i wonder about is how you guys keep that cable away from the (office) chair. While not in use my HMD is placed right next to the monitor on the table, but the cable which is hanging always down to the floor tends to slide into my direction, so i keep accidentally rolling over it which is shurely not good..

So, call me silly, but the other day, I realized, “hey, I should use lens cleaning wipes on my HMD lenses” (not the inside, I’m not suggesting anyone take their HMD lenses out, I mean wiping off the exterior of the lenses). This made a great difference! @steph12 probably already does this since you use prescription lenses, but I don’t know how many people think to clean off their lenses. It made things a lot clearer.
It sounds so obvious, but I didn’t think of it at first. Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there for anyone else. BTW, I use disposable lense wipes for my glasses and I just used one of them for the HMD lenses, and it worked perfectly (the brand is Zeiss).
Been trying to play Prey in G3D cinema mode. Not sure if its VorpX, but the game keeps freezing up every 10 or 20 minutes.
Assuming its a VorpX or SteamVR thing as it hasn’t done this before getting the G3D profile.
Hello! i havent used VorpX for a while and desided i wanted to use it today, but when i started it it started a update that i allowed to download, but then my Virus program popped up told me it stopped the download from dowloading, so i pressed the “ignore varning/Use program anyway” botton and the update started to download without problem, but after it was done and i tried to start vorpConfig I just get a crash message with “vorpConfig have stopped working” if i try to start vorpControl i get a message with” VorpX VR Driver Control” have stopped working, I tried to unistall VorpX but got a message saying that doing so would remove my licence so im scared to remove it completely, I also have gone true all my anti-virus things and added VorpX to the ignore folders so they wont stop the program from working but i still just keep getting instant crashes everytime i try to start anything VorpX related :s Please help
I’m not sure whether the mod or vorpX handles the FOV. If you also experience wrong FOV with a fully unmodded game, something is wrong with your config. The DirectVR FOV is written directly into the game’s memory and as always calculated precisely. Absolutely zero chance that vorpX’s DirectVR FOV is wrong for GTA V provided it gets applied. You can check that in the vorpX menu.
For the life of me ..I cant find it anywhere. Cloud or local. I get artifacts when running the game with Vorpx.. Apologize if I missed something in the forums.
@zahncisten, thanks, I did that and worked, but I couldn´t make the buttons call the Vorpx Menu, everything else worked all right. Maybe its a bug with this version of Vorpx.
