    Very nice Stryker, i had that one on my list too.

    Cheers RJK_! Quite a list of games you’ve maintained, thanks for curating.

    Another Unreal 3 Engine game to add to the list.

    Styx: Master of Shadows (G3D)

    Disabled a few annoying shader’s that did not render correctly in G3D. Interesting stealth/action/platforming game. Really no need for any FOV adjustments on this one. There is a way to bind multiple FOV settings to keystrokes which can be useful for “on the fly” switching. See this post on how to do this. I am using the 32bit exe on this one. Profile uploaded to the cloud.

    Best,

    Alpha Protocol – (G3D)

    Works real well in immersive mode. Disable dynamic shadows in game menu since shadows do not render correctly. My other in game menu settings:

    – Motion blur off, why developers use this beyond me, terrible effect
    – Depth of field off , another crappy effect
    – Distortion off
    – Vsync off

    I am using a resolution of 3840×2880 4:3 and performs great. Profile uploaded to the cloud and simply based on the unreal 3 game engine. I am using a strong G3D setting with a wide FOV. Edgepeek G3D is left on since most screens look good in this way. I prefer using the VorpX G3D hot key to turn off the G3D only a few screens. The head tracking sensitivity is set to 0 so I can turn my head independently from the mouse or character movement. Great for this type of game. Either way, you can change your VorpX settings as you see fit. Fun game in G3D, reminds me a bit of the Splinter Cell series.

    Cheers,

    Stryker

    May be thats an openGL issue, i remember Unreal Tournament behaving similar. Another thing you can do check the VorpX HUD Settings and give the 3 sliders different values. If you can rename the executable of the game, do that, then try different Quake profiles , also try the Descent 2 and Star Wars: Jedi Knight II – Jedi Outcast profile with the game.

    If you are new to vorpX, you probably want to hop right into the action instead of learning how to configure vorpX. The list below contains first person games that work with litlle to no configuration in ‘Full VR’ due to vorpX’s DirectVR functionality, which can configure important things like field of view, head tracking or resolution automatically.

    For third person games that are usually played best in immersive screen or cinema mode not much configuration is required in general, so this list focuses on first person ‘Full VR’ games that can be a little harder to configure without DirectVR.

    If you are stuck, make sure to check the ‘Essential Hints Guide’ and the ‘Quick Reference’ in the help. They help you understand a few basic concepts.

    ============================================================

    Gave 2010 a go and got some decent results with the FOV tool from PC Gaming wiki. Another good one with pretty clean Unreal Engine G3D.

    Medal of Honor 2010 (G3D)

    The FOV Changer makes full world and viewmodel FOV possible, however it only applies to the currently selected weapon. Since it grows tiresome to reset for each new gun, I’ve opted to combine with forced G3D enhancement for viewmodels. This introduces pop-in culling around peripheral view, but keeps both FOVs correct all the time. I think it’s worth it, and not so bothersome as to kill the overall experience.

    – Download the FOV Changer here. Looks like this:

    – run FOVChanger.exe, uncheck Viewmodels, check Enable, enter 97
    – wait to click Set button until you’ve launched the games splash screen, or anytime once you’ve started the game. Now you are good to go.
    – use a 16:9 resolution to hide more culling (1920×1080)

    *G3D Shadow treatment toggles crosshair, set Auto for acog scopes fix
    *Singleplayer version only
    *If you get “General Protection Errors” first time, reinstall PhysX drivers from:
    Origin Games\Medal of Honor\__Installer\DISK1\PhysX

    I think I’ve disabled all undesired shadows and textures halfway through, but will update the profile if more are discovered. Made it past the ATV night mission, pretty neat so far. Enjoy.

    I’ve tried to create a profile from unreal Engine 3 For MEDAL OF HONOR 2010,but there are shadow and other problems…

    @ sapolettos: Just a lot of trying each of Ralf’s profiles until you get lucky :) . The shader tool he provided has been a big help too. Loving it.

    Had some more fun playing at war this weekend. A couple more G3D shooters you might enjoy.

    Medal of Honor: Warfighter (G3D)

    I had to force a lot of 3D enhancement to make up for hardcoded FOV (causing environment culling around periphery), but once in the action I was soon not bothered by it. It’s got some intense set-piece shootouts that feel neat in 3D, so I’ve decided to share the profile anyway. I did manage to reduce HUD and offensive shadows, so worth a go if you own the game. Probably my new favorite modern military shooter.

    – use a 16:10 resolution (2880×1800) in fullscreen

    *Use hotkey “switch G3D/Z3D” for door breaching HUD
    *2 driving levels crash the hmd, but vorpX automatically rehooks after completion
    *Z-normal optional with cinema mode

    Medal of Honor: Airborne (G3D)

    Now this one is working great! I spent most of the weekend adjusting FOV code for each weapon, and it has pleasantly paid off. Very good G3D, flawless FOV, it all just feels right. Shooting is very punchy and physical, and combat action very intense. A must try in VR for war shooter fans.

    – download FOV files. Place them marked “read only” into:
    Documents\EA Games\Medal of Honor Airborne(tm)\Config

    – use game launcher to set 4:3 resolution (1600×1200)
    steamapps\common\Medal of Honor Airborne\UnrealEngine3\Binaries\moha_setup.exe
    (click play to apply, may give expected load error)

    – from now on, launch as usual via steam etc.
    – press Q to trigger FOV at beginning of each briefing and airdrop (also toggles HUD)

    *If scopes or mounted guns break FOV, ADS with unscoped weapon to fix
    *Getting smoked? set steam launch parameter “-enableconsole” and type “god”
    *If Q key fails, use console command “fov 120” to set FOV at start of each mission

    I guess you are talking about plain shooters, though i wouldnt know any game without you having to open a menu every once in awhile.

    Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (G3D)

    1rst Person War Shooter with the Unreal 3 Engine.

    – Change resolution in TPGame.ini under ResX and ResY
    – Change FOV – Edit TPInput.ini and add this line under [Engine.PlayerInput]
    Bindings=(Name=”NumPadFour”,Command=”FOV XXX”,Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
    where XXX is your FOV Setting. Note: Climbing latters will reset this value quite often.
    – When shutting down, game may hang, so terminate manually.
    – Availiable from the cloud

    Alright, so, the closest I got was dgVoodoo2. But I ended up with a headless Ryo, lol. I flipped through the shaders and the profile doesn’t differentiate any of the actual elements. It did Z-Normal, but so did a few other profiles. The one in the cloud right now is the best possible. I think using the Old Unreal Engine in G3D would work, but it would require refiguring the 3D just for Shenmue 1/2 (both should be the same).

    I haven’t even purchased yet (still trying to find out if it works with Samsing Odyssey in Steam!) BUT I have read that the program looks at a game the first time you play it, then when you close, it then it creates/changes the profile and that is reflected the next time you play.
    SO,. the fix would be to,.
    1) Re install the VORPX update / software, from scratch (even removing Documents Profile folder etc (OR MAYBE JUST THE ENTRY IN THE INI, FOR YOUR GAME THAT IT MADE LAST NIGHT?: I haven’t seen anything to do w/ VORPX yet, so is all general advice…

    2) run the game once again, like before, but this time, (maybe before even opening your game!): TURN OFF the ‘auto’ FOV and auto’ VOPRX’y stuff, or SAVE a Profile when the game works, and you can get back to that maybe?

    I was devouring info, trying to decide to purchase,. Still am) The person had had good game display at first then went to crap next time they opened it! So, essentially the advice I read, was to turn off the auto Vorpx stuff (I forget the exact term ) and to set FOV Manually! :)

    Can I ask YOU some questions?
    1) SO you think VORPX is worth it?
    2) Do you think the ‘$28.. ‘Promo code sites’ that sell VORPX out there are real and I could upgrade ??
    3) I really only want to play a simple STar Trek (3D Direct-X I think) game made in Unreal 4 (and works in 3D Vision) does that sound like something that could be VR display?
    4) finally, can you be IN VR AND in a Third Person game (like, just, an OFFSET would be fine! (Or can you MOVE the Offset with like the Thumbstick LOL CAMERAMAN!! ) That would be cool..

    The Regiment (G3D)

    Unreal Engine 2.5 with DX9. The game requires important settings, vorpX will crash if you dont follow these steps:

    (required !!)
    – SAS.ini
    [WinDrv.WindowsClient]
    StartupFullscreen=False
    ScreenFlashes=False

    (optional)
    [WinDrv.WindowsClient]
    – Resolution (Example values):
    WindowedViewportX=1920
    WindowedViewportY=1080
    FullscreenViewportX=1920
    FullscreenViewportY=1080

    (required)
    -desktop resolution must equal game resolution

    (optional)
    -User.ini:
    Change FOV settings to desired values.
    Example:
    DesiredFOV=120.000000
    DefaultFOV=95.000000

    Values higher then 95 may make guns invisible in Sniper Mode.Experiment with these values.

    Make settings BEFORE creating a player profile

    -Profile optimized for cinema modes
    -Availiable from the cloud
