Hi! Im trying to improve the in Cyberpunk experience and already broke the mod two times. When in Z normal 3D, the grapics around the edges have a gelatin wobble like effect. Its a lot noticiable inside the car windows, fences but the worst is when reading wobble text.
I tried messing with dlss settings, graphics settings and Vorpx settings. IF I put VR strength to 0 (it was at 2 by default), the gelatin stops, but I think thats its like playing with Vorpx no 3D mode. Im playing on a rtx 4050 with Nice Vorpx settings and dlss was in automatic, everything else is in low or médium, so I dont have a lot of gpu power to work on and G3D is to demanding, but maybe there is something that may help. Thanks for any sugestion.
What I’m working with:
QUEST 3, i9, 32gRam, 4070 RTX
– COPY of Updated Vorpx CYBERPUNK Standalone mod dated SEPT 2024
– Copy of CYBERPUNK 2077 2.13 + Phantom LibertyEveryone remembers what happened the dreadful week of the the infamous 2.13 update drop.
Many solutions were sought. Many things wouldn’t work no matter how closely defined my actions were to the instructions concerning CET and the like.I was ecstatic that Ralf powered by Vorpx, or rather Vorpx powered by Ralf – was quick to update the stand alone mod and link. In my neck of the woods internet is non existent so after installing and and reinstalling with fixes in different combinations and orders it took forever each time I got exhausted – you have no idea how slow of a connection lol
I looked forward to downloading CP2077 what I thought would be the final time and began to install the new updated standalone {all smiles}.Unfortunately I was stuck in the game waiting room , with the same message of “my version of cyberpunk being newer” ..etc etc. Realizing it could be a false message (see above if it linked properly) I sought to continue : However I noticed that I wasn’t able to use either the keyboard or Quest 3 controllers to continue. I was able to use the grips to use the vorpx configuration menu ( open and close the menu) – that was it. I changed a few settings in vorpx menu – gamepad back to keyboard etc – Mouse was only working in vorpx menu. upon closing the menu AND after the opening intro movie I would get a message saying {!} CONTROLLER DISCONNECTED Please Reconnect controller. No controller buttons or keyboard would work (other image if posted correctly)- I Never post to Forums, as most threads seem a spiral into condescension to the poster -Among other things Im embarrassed I cant figure this out – and reading comments on videos expressing that it worked first try no fuss no muss – Im pulling out what 3 hairs I have left on my head. Ive tried everything – I, in my heart think its got to be something I’ve overlooked, or accidental setting change.
**Headset selection on The –CyberpunkVR config link — oculus headsets , rift , Quest via Oculus link is selected** (I’ve always used questlink for this game with unfailing great results)If anyone can Help, I would owe you my soul.
Thanks in advance,
TJP
A Tenacious enthusiast even after a wrong turn or twoHello all,
i’m considering buying VorpX so that my father can play Avatar Frontiers in VR as he loves that universe.
Does the game currently works well in full VR, like cyberpunk 2077 full VR 3D and what would be the best settings or tweaks that i would need to do?
thanks :)
Topic: Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing
When I try path tracing, vorpX keeps crashing. Are there some settings or something I’m missing, or does path tracing just not work with it?
Thanks in advance.
Topic: Jittery then freezy
Playing Cyberpunk, and I no sooner got everything working properly than VorpX suddenly starts getting jittery, and then the headset freezes. The game keeps running fine. The fps are even fine when it happens.
This happens seemingly anywhere, but is a bit more prevalent in the megabuilding where V lives. (Particularly the lift, and walking across the floor where the gun store and boxing rink are.) But again, it eventually happens everywhere. It’s even happened on the settings screen.
It happens in all 3 modes: Full VR, Cinema, and Immersive. It happens with 3d on, 3d off, edge peek, everything. I’m pretty sure I have everything at default, and I even turned off Clarity FX.
I’ve tried lowering the game settings, the resolution, and Virtual Desktop settings. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Nothing seems to have any effect one way or the other.
I’ve restarted the headset and my computer several times.Again, this seemingly came out of nowhere. It was working fine one minute, and now I can’t get it to run for a minute without VorpX freezing. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hello everyone,
every works fine except one thing: Looking down unarmed.
When doing it, the vr view flickers and also it changes to poster view for a moment.
It happens with headtracking on/off and with vr-controller or normal controller/keyboard input.
But when holding a weapon (also melee) or with the opened options menu, the problem doesn’t occur. What setting could be here the problem?(config below)
Bug or conflicts between headtracking and input?I couldnt find any similar topic.
I appreciate the help and thanks to devs for this awesome mod! Here the configs:

More specifically, how are rendering resolution settings (found in the Quest desktop app), and game resolution settings different. Or, how do they impact they tend to impact performance.
I have two possibly thoughts:
(1) Game (virtual monitor) and virtual environment are rendered independently. And combined right before forming a final image (rasterization). In this thought, Rendering Resolution has no effect on the virtual monitor, only the environment. I image being in mindcraft world, and looking through a portal/mirror to Cyberpunk 2077. Therefore, 0.7x vs. 1.3x has little effect on the quality of the virtual monitor/game image.(2) Game (virtual monitor) and virtual environment are rendered on top of another (like the game monitor is a texture). Assuming the game is rendered at a lower resolution, and the game would be scaled to the Rendering Resolution. Stretching the image and making it look fuzzy. I guess this would be like looking at a low resolution texture/posture in a game running 4k. The text would be all blurry. In this case, i’m not sure where to start to find optimal balance, Rendering Resolution or Game Resolution. Although Rendering Resolution would be the max, for game. It’s effectively the monitor resolution.
Hello, i’ve bought VorpX today and I wanted to try out Cyberpunk 2077. I followed a guide how to install VorpX.
I configured VorpX, made a standard profile for Cybeprunk 2077 and selected Oculus Rift. I launched Cyberpunk 2077 and immediately received a message that Oculus software doesn’t support any directx 12 games.
So, I went back to the VorpX settings, changed it to SteamVR and relaunched the game. It immediately flatlines on the CD Projekt intro. I deleted Cyberpunk 2077 and re-install it and it was now working in SteamVR settings.
But the game looked VERY ugly and pixaleted and it was very zoomed it. The video told me to put the field of view on 100, but it was still very zoomed in.
I tried to changed some other settings, but now Cyberpunk 2077 flatlines all the time, no matter what settings I use or changed it back to default. I just can’t get it to work anymore, unless I re-intall the game again.
I do have a powerful computer, a I9 14900kF, RTX 4080 and 32gb DDR5 memory on 6000mhz and installed on a m.2 SSD. When I watch other people video’s, it looks so much better.
I’ve recently started playing Cyberpunk in VR using vorpX 23.1.0 BETA. I’m curious about the best settings to ensure a smooth and immersive experience. Any suggestions or recommendations from experienced players? Thanks in advance!
Topic: Cyberpunk glitch
I am using Oculus Rift with RTX3060, latest public drivers.
In CP77 I am experiencing kind of glitch, that is visible on linked pictures.
In VR it is way more visible then on screenshots.Foreground objects cast “parallax shadow” on background – maybe such glitch has some name, but I don’t know it so I’ll try to describe and show.
So in right eye, background parts that are NOT visible (obscured by nearby object) by left eye are corrupted.
And in left eye, background parts that are not visible by right eye ale also corrupted.During a game glitch is dynamic, looks like flickering projection of foreground casted on background.
It happens in both “immerse picture” and “full VR”.
It happens all the time during a game.
Tried some configurations (different settings, resolution, details level) but without an effect.Any idea what else I should try?
Screenshots are pictures from right eye.

Shotgun obscures left eye view, and in that area that is obscured for left eye, in right eye we see “shadow” of shotgun on the ground.https://pasteboard.co/ucppyNBpmuCu.png
Especially visible for three leftmost persons in the frame.
You can see “shadow” on their right side.https://pasteboard.co/rX7nglvbGnXJ.png
Same as previous onehttps://pasteboard.co/vaw6bzhlcWow.png
Very clearly visible as “shadow” of Panam’s face.
