Where can I get the profile for Cyberpunk 2077?
Patch 1.05 solved my crashes. I played some hours in FullVR and the Z3D is incredible, very close to G3D. The NPCs are living, it is not comparable to Assassins Creed in Z3D and Third Person. Wow, thank you very much to Ralf and the vorpx community !
For those who own a RTX 3000 or Big Navi
my recommendations in 40fps Gaming:
Graphic settings:
Res. 3200×2400
FOV 135
Medium and High Mixed
Raytracing on + Medium
DLSS Ultra Performance
vorpx:
85% Zoom
Sharpen 2.00
Z3D 3.00
Edge Peak 3D 50%
Edge Peak Driving
Fluidsync 40/80
Vehicle Handling Mod:

Also… update, my HP G2 came in today but doesn’t want to work with my x570 motherboard of course so waiting on a work-around. If you’re lurking here and wondering “sHoUld i GeT vOrPx tO pLaY CyBeRpUnK 2077?”
The answer is YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again Ralf single handedly fixed the game and made it actually as good as the hype
Please make screenshots of your vorpx config tool settings and post it here !
First of all delete the UserSettings.json in C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\
and in the vorpx config tool go to local profiles and reset the CP77 Profile to factory defaults
I have RTX 3080, Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 GB RAM…..Do you think will be good for Cyberpunk with Vorpx?
This is primarily a question aimed at Ralph.
Ralph, I just got my HP Reverb G2 and it’s working great with VorpX.
Cyberpunk 2077 looks FANTASTIC!
However one of my favorite titles: Red Dead Redemption 2 is hooking, but it’s not displaying in 3D on either of the Z 3D settings. Would you have any thoughts on trouble shooting this particular title? I know it’s hard without your hands on the hardware.
I’ve played 60+ hours on the Valve Index with no problems, so I’m pretty sure it’s isolated to Windows new MWR drivers.
I’m at your service if there’s anything I can do to help support your product. If you would like to remote into my gaming rig, be my guest.
Thanks!
After getting a few more hours to play (I’m in Act II now) I have to say that with some fine tuning, Cyberpunk 2077 is incredible in Vorpx, assuming you have the hardware to crank everything up to the max. I think they wanted to do the game in VR but found that it was just not possible for most people given the fact that you need some pretty amazing hardware.
I really couldn’t imagine playing it any other way… I’ve noticed some bugs, and the game occasionally crashes but it’s 100% worth it. Maybe the best game since Halo CE or GTA V imho.. This is how the game was meant to be played it seems.
Here are some things I did, that may or may not suit your taste:
– significantly zoomed out the image so that I can see all of the hud, did some fine tuning on the zooming/edge peek mode so that you could really just play it in edge peek mode at times
– cranked the 3D in edge peek mode up
– changed the background to black, really helped make the game much more immersive, when in VR view it just looks like limits to my FOV rather than a floating screen
– cranked up the saturation and dialed in a few other settings like that
Kind of amazing the developers didn’t just put a mode like this in the game it’s ridiculous how much better it is than playing it on a monitor, even if this is sort of a sit-down “hyrbid VR” solution. Ralf has single handedly fixed Cyberpunk 2077 and if we ever get a full 3D mode that’s just icing on the cake.
Anyway, hardware specs if you’re curious:
Oculus Quest 2 (HP G2 finally shipped and I hear it’ll be even better)
5900x
3090FE
32GB 3600 RAM
2TB Samsung Pro PCIE 4.0 SSD
Water-cooled CPU + 9 fans
So pretty heavy duty computer, but if you can do it, it’s absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t recommend it any other way.
“I stopped playing because of many crashes, too. I will try i again when patch 1.05 is released for PC. I will try to solve the Problem by trial and error in the game settings, Nvidia drivers and Mainboard Bios settings. With my Hardware Specs (Ryzen 7 + RTX 3080) the most important things are to clean all CP77 related files on the SSD and do a clean boot of Windows and do a fresh install of the game without any manual changes in the settings and let Geforce Experience choose the settings of the game. Mods and extra FOV settings are crashing every 10 Minutes. In 4:3 or 16:10 i have the best results in exclusive Fullscreen and 2880×2160 and 3456×2160 until today. I wish that the patch 1.05 will prevent my crashes. All of my numerous other games working decent !”
Any chance Geforce Experience is causing the problem? I’ve had issues with that in the past and ended up uninstalling it. Also for me personally, all of my crashing issues with Cyberpunk stopped when I started using a borderless window in Cyberpunk. It’s been running smooth like butter ever since.
“Without g3d its got paper mario levels of 3D. Looks terrible and obviously causes even more bugs. I have yet to find a game thats even slightly more enjoyable with vorpx after 30 mins.”
Personally I love the 3D effect. Works great for this type of graphically intense AAA game and looks good enough for me even though I do agree that G3D has better 3D reconstruction albeit with a major performance hit. But honestly the Z3D effect looks fantastic on Cyberpunk. Feels like an extremely well 3D done conversion of a movie shot in 2D (Edge of Tomorrow or Dr Strange for example) and with minimal performance impact.
Also I already have 22 hours with VorpX in Cyberpunk (Z3D). 110 hours in Rocket League (G3D) And 250 hours in New Vegas (G3D; Direct VR, stood room scale using a wireless Xbox).
With Cyberpunk I am playing this on my Vive with VorpX instead of playing on my 70 inch 4k TV that the PC is hooked up to.
Hi,
I just bought a G2 VR Headset and am waiting for my 3080 to arrive next week.
I figured I would look into VorpX and how useful it is.
I don’t mind purchasing it if it works, but from what I hear zbuffer isn’t substantially better way to play games compared to normal Monitor. So my questions are just about the G3D games.
1) Is the list of supported Stereo 3D upto date? I am guessing Stereo 3D is Geometry 3D? I am asking because someone posted another list of games that were G3D and had games like Witcher 3 in there, which are not present on the supported Stereo 3D list. And games like Darksiders 3 are on the Stereo 3D, but not listed by that post.
Geometry VR Game List.
2) I know that we can mess around and get some degree of 3D work, but I would rather know more about the games that definitely work which would factor into my decision to purchase.
3) There is a dearth of arcade racing games in VR. I do like the Need for Speed series, and though I haven’t played it for years, I still have bought some of the new ones and I own a racing wheel. Are there any recent NFS games supported with G3D that are not on either list? Are there player profiles that would be considered almost as good as official? Even if I have to play in Third person view instead of indoor view.
4) Is enabling G3D going to cause a significant performance hit? Playing games @ 100% in SteamVR ends up with a resolution of about 4k each eye, which is already very resource intensive. I am hoping that after turning some settings down, I will be able to hit 6k @ 90 FPS in some of the older games (4 years+) with an RTX 3080. Any experiences with a similar setup would be appreciated.
5) Do any DLSS games work well in G3D? Just curious. I guess I am mainly curious about Control. Cyberpunk 2077, I would play on flat screen for now.
I really do like the idea of playing normal games with head tracking in proper Stereo 3D and normal keyboard/mouse controls. Just hoping there is support for enough games I like that I can take the plunge.
Thanks for the help guys.
VorpX just updated, and patch for Steam VR was installed. Now Death Stranding is jittery as hell in the headset. I dropped settings way down, but still jittery. Its just in the headset tho.. not on the screen (monitor). I just tried Cyberpunk 2077 and that is still running smooth.
Any suggestions?
Ben
I’ve heard people on youtube talking about a shimmer around characters when playing with vorpx. Would this mod work to help remove the shimmer?

I’m getting my new video card on Tuesday, so I haven’t had a chance to test it.
Cool, I’m really hoping for a vorpX profile though. Odyssey is one of my most played games. Hopefully once Cyberpunk gets sorted, Valhalla can get another stab.
In the meantime I’m playing more RDR2, with the most recent profile. It’s great that now the Hud can be scaled for fullvr, but somehow the context keys display Hud is not scaled. Perhaps a quick fix to assign these additional shader layers is possible. It is the only Hud element I actually need :)
Hey @ Mossfoot :
Are you using an Oculus system? If you are, be sure that you set your “Device Selection” to “SteamVR (Index, Vive, WMR, Pimax etc.)” in the General settings of vorpX Configuration. I had to set this again after installing the vorpX update. vorpX can’t hook into Cyberpunk with the normal “Oculus” settings–I think due to the version of DirectX?
Good luck!
Gotcha, @Ralf, and I totally hear you regarding not remembering every little detail of a program. I’ve certainly been there plenty! =)
I really appreciate all the insight and help. I feel much more proficient in vorpX after all this.
I’m also happy to say that Cyberpunk is now running *beautifully* on my system.
For those in this forum that might be also be struggling with fps, here are the things that helped the most:
– Setting the resolution as @Ralf recommended from the beginning (sheepish grin). I’m currently running the DirectVR setting “1920p”, which sets my resolution to 2560 x 1440.
– Setting my Quest 2 resolution to 0.9x (2784 x 1408). This made a HUGE difference. Thank you, @ monazou !!!
– Setting Cyberpunk graphics settings to “High” and then also setting DLSS to “Performance”. Anything higher than this and I get fps drops.
Using those settings, the game is crisp and beautiful, and I’m usually getting 45 fps in the game and 90 fps in the headset. THANK YOU!!!
