There is some auto detection built into vorpX that tries to figure out whether Z3D should be on or off by checking how much is going on currently. Unfortunately something like this can’t be 100% reliable all the time since some (many) games render menus and similar screens simply in front of everything else, which basically breaks the workload detection. But for Cyberpunk 2077 it should work most of the time when you switch to the menu.
There also is a hotkey though for turning on/off 3D manually. Per default that’s ALT+X, can be changed to whatever you seem fit in the config app.
Another good, maybe even better, way to achieve what you have in mind is setting the EdgePeek 3D multiplier to 0.0. That way 3D is turned off whenever you switch to EdgePeek.
Maybe that’s just too much. Try to reduce graphics settings until you can reach half your headset’s refresh rate. At that point vorpX will cap the framerate and the GPU wouldn’t be completely overloaded anymore.
Also please try without Virtual Desktop. Better to remove anything from the chain that isn’t strictly necessary. Or does Oculus Link not work for some reason?
Also, just in case you overlooked my earlier reply in that regard: please make sure to have the latest graphics driver installed, both AMD and nVidia had updates for Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday.
And last, but not least, also just in case: no overclocking of any kind. That’s evil in general and it’s even more evil when bringing a PC to its limits by playing a game like this with vorpX.
I noticed that i couldn’t get any in game movement with my left trackpad.
I tried to change the keys, moving with keyboard works, but the buttons on the left trackpad aren’t responding, only the trigger button does the function in game for that button but the rest not. changing azerty to qwerty also didn’t did the trick.
Changing the aim by using the right trackpad works.
I’m used an original vive.
Anybody else having this issue?
I was using the vorpx base profile, after the update to support Cyberpunk. Geometry was there and looked way better than Z3d. Then another update comes later and bam, no G3d 🤷♂️
After installing alternativ hook
I can see cyberpunk including the tracking of the Headset in my Monitor,
so if i move the headset the cursor moves.
I can“t klick anything with the mouse and
on My HDM There is a “black” small Screen(the one that usually shows the Game who is starting) und that black screen there is this “Go to”…
So it seems right on the monitor but its not displayed in the HDM.
I got a old VIVE running on a 1080 and a 2k HDR monitor.
Attaching to Cyberpunk2077.exe
–>
This takes quiet a while. If you suspect the Program hangs or you do not want to use VorpX with to it, clickt the according Button.
Install hookhelper
prefer defaut hooking
greyed out
Close programm
Do nothing

Cyberpunk runs stable without VorpX, but with VorpX is seems to crash randomly particularly if I am loading a new level / area. Any thing I can do to resolve this? Any kind of debug log I can submit?
Performance is surprisingly smooth (runs better than in 4k on my 70 inch TV which serves as my main monitor), and the 3D effect that Z3D creates is pretty fantastic in this game. Good depth and easy to ignore the shortcomings of Z3D. If the random crashing is sorted then THIS is the way to play this game.
It seems i do not have the slightest chance to get the Game running in VR.
This is basically, asking for any Help.
I did try Running VorpX with
User Profiles
DesktopViewer ( wich also results in Stayin on the Desktop not displaying the executive File )
Starting the Game from Desktop,Steam VR with and without Home and starting it Via GOG Galaxy and without it.
I did try admin mode, excuding overwatch via BITDEFENDER (gives also no warnings)
disableing MSI Afterburner, and stuff that i dont need like Viveport for Example.
I did download those 3 Log Files but i dont know what exacly i am searching for or how to upload them here.
…
VorpX Works in Desktop mode if i want to, also can try DEL for the Settings just to say something about Functionality,
it seems it does not detect Cyberpunk to me.
There Is no Window like Attaching VorpX or similar, if i go to Add process in profiles it says i can not Attach Cyberpunk to Cyberpunk because its already existing.
I’m not that lucky. The Oculus Quest2 driver does not work with Cyberpunk 2077. Only SteamVR seems to be supported.
Similar problem with Flight simulator 2020. In the driver list, there is “flightsimulator.exe” which I assume to be FS2020 but there is just a flat-screen presented when using this driver. A youtube video on how to make it working with oculus and what you can be expecting would be great
I’ve discovered that 100 degrees FOV is not a hard limit. Here’s how you can increase this limit:
Go to
C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config\settings\platform\pc
Open options.json file
Search for “FieldOfView”
Change “max_value” from 100 to anything you like, such as 130 or 170.
Then in game when you change it, you can see that the FOV got bigger in the game. A major benefit of this is that you can now zoom in the picture without losing proper world scale. I find on my HP Reverb G2 at 120 FOV and zoomed in until I can’t see any borders, I get the best picture quality with the correct world scale.
Dear VorpX developer, you can now optimize the application for wider viewing angles :)
I have yet to try this on my Pimax 8KX in Large FOV mode. Will report back later.
