TiggerdyretParticipantConsider buying Pinnacle Game Profiler. It’s really come in handy a lot when I’m using vorpx. And is way better than Vorpx’s own controller support. I even use it in games with native controller support for edge peek and camera reset hotkeys. It’s apparently always on sale.

JazzaParticipantIs anyone using Steam VR with HTC Vive and vorpX for anything at the moment?
I’m trying to use it with Space Engineers (Steam) but it comes up with a warning saying Steam VR crashed on init then continues to load Space Engineers on the desktop normal but with the vorpX watermark (no vorpX hotkeys work) and mouse cursor isn’t visible in game.
Space Engineers has Steam overlay disabled, vorpX Desktop Viewer works by itself, vorpX has been configured for Steam VR in it’s settings and Steam VR startup log files don’t show anything abnormal.

esopsisParticipantI’ve been trying to get SWTOR to work with my Oculus Rift using Vorpx. I have my reasons for wanting to play it…
I’ve played tons of other games using Vorpx, and they all worked fine, I open Vorpx, I open the game, bam, it’s there in my headset. But with SWTOR, I open the Vorpx, I open the game, (in windowed mode like usual), I log in, I put on my headset, and I’m just stuck in the Oculus lobby. The game shows up on my PC monitor as usual, but nothing in my headset. Has anyone had any experience trying SWTOR with Vorpx or have any suggestions? Thanks so much!
(Just in case anyone’s wondering how I’m going to use all the controls, I found a nice map for using xPadder to map keys to my xBox controller and that’s all set up and ready to go so I can avoid the keyboard.)

Elpolako666ParticipantHello guys. Yesterday i bought a Vorpx. At first i want to apologize for my english because its not so good but i will try.
Already i dont know anything. I got htc vive and yesterday i want to play outlast 2 in “FIRST PERSON” i installed vorpx , tried to launch couple of time outlast 2 with vorp x. When it launch i have a window close to my eyes and any of hotkeys dont work. Only shift + scroll. No ingame vorpx menu or something.
Well i thought i must try another game. I launch Cs:go , elder scrolls online and always screen was blinking in white and i wasnt able to do anything.
Well i’ll be very glad if anyone will try to “introduce” me to this program because i really wan’t to learn how it works and make some progress with it.
Im a quite smartass so just tell me what shoulda i know EVERYTHING about Vorpx and i will listen to you.

baggygParticipantI have heard from other users there is a “controller mode” setting where you can switch between Touch Gamepad etc. I do not see this option at all.

baggygParticipantI upgraded to a 1080ti and was very excited to see the performance in Skyrim (non SE version). Unfortunately having upgraded to the latest VorpX (17.2.1) the DirectVR scanner no longer seems to work. Having loaded a saved game, I press ALT + L but nothing happens at all. I also tried Alt + B. I could not find any other mention of the scanner in any of the menus.
I have tried a variety of things including launching vanilla version with no mods, running vorpX as an administrator, etc. The other hotkeys seem to work such as alt + V and alt + f.
Sorry if I am missing something obvious.

KarlorParticipantI’m wondering does the new head tracking in DirectVR make it so you can look around during conversations? I read a post that says the new head tracking does indeed “free” the camera view during conversations. In the old version of vorpX I’m using you can move your head around but the camera wont move until the mouse pointer reaches the edge of the screen. So the new update lets you have free camera look while in conversations? How do you select dialog options, with the arrow keys or can you use the mouse still? Just really curious as to how that aspect functions. The version I have is tuned in and perfect but the only thing bugging me is the conversations camera being the way it is. Anyone maybe have any video of a conversation with the new DirectVR for Skyrim?

sucajParticipant@Oliiiiive – thanks, I will try that again. I also had installed and have removed the FOV mod that comes with the GTA5 VR mod – are there any other files/settings that you had to remove other than what is inside the GTA5 directory?
@Ralf – oh alright, I didn’t know that. I wanted to completely delete all registry entries for VorpX since I’m at the scorched-earth point of troubleshooting this issue… as far as I know, there’s not an option to keep registration while removing the other keys. But thanks for the tip. I will try launching in G3D, but I’ve done that before with no dice. Again, SOME part of G3D is working, as trees and car wheels are rendered in 3D, while the rest of the scene is 2D. Super weird.

unimagParticipantThe override needs to be on, I’ll provide a better default mapping with the next version.
Re-mapping yourself isn’t too hard though, I usually do that by briefly checking what the most important things are mapped to in the game’s option menu and then assign the keys to the gamepad in the vorpX menu. Not much work.
You can also use Vive/Touch controllers if available, they show the current keybindings on the rendered controller. This way there is no disconnect between the on-screen prompts of the game and the buttons on your controller.

Is anyone using Steam VR with HTC Vive and vorpX for anything at the moment?
I’m trying to use it with Space Engineers (Steam) but it comes up with a warning saying Steam VR crashed on init then continues to load Space Engineers on the desktop normal but with the vorpX watermark (no vorpX hotkeys work) and mouse cursor isn’t visible in game.
Space Engineers has Steam overlay disabled, vorpX Desktop Viewer works by itself, vorpX has been configured for Steam VR in it’s settings and Steam VR startup log files don’t show anything abnormal.
I’ve been trying to get SWTOR to work with my Oculus Rift using Vorpx. I have my reasons for wanting to play it…
I’ve played tons of other games using Vorpx, and they all worked fine, I open Vorpx, I open the game, bam, it’s there in my headset. But with SWTOR, I open the Vorpx, I open the game, (in windowed mode like usual), I log in, I put on my headset, and I’m just stuck in the Oculus lobby. The game shows up on my PC monitor as usual, but nothing in my headset. Has anyone had any experience trying SWTOR with Vorpx or have any suggestions? Thanks so much!
(Just in case anyone’s wondering how I’m going to use all the controls, I found a nice map for using xPadder to map keys to my xBox controller and that’s all set up and ready to go so I can avoid the keyboard.)

Hello guys. Yesterday i bought a Vorpx. At first i want to apologize for my english because its not so good but i will try.
Already i dont know anything. I got htc vive and yesterday i want to play outlast 2 in “FIRST PERSON” i installed vorpx , tried to launch couple of time outlast 2 with vorp x. When it launch i have a window close to my eyes and any of hotkeys dont work. Only shift + scroll. No ingame vorpx menu or something.
Well i thought i must try another game. I launch Cs:go , elder scrolls online and always screen was blinking in white and i wasnt able to do anything.
Well i’ll be very glad if anyone will try to “introduce” me to this program because i really wan’t to learn how it works and make some progress with it.
Im a quite smartass so just tell me what shoulda i know EVERYTHING about Vorpx and i will listen to you.

I upgraded to a 1080ti and was very excited to see the performance in Skyrim (non SE version). Unfortunately having upgraded to the latest VorpX (17.2.1) the DirectVR scanner no longer seems to work. Having loaded a saved game, I press ALT + L but nothing happens at all. I also tried Alt + B. I could not find any other mention of the scanner in any of the menus.
I have tried a variety of things including launching vanilla version with no mods, running vorpX as an administrator, etc. The other hotkeys seem to work such as alt + V and alt + f.
Sorry if I am missing something obvious.
I’m wondering does the new head tracking in DirectVR make it so you can look around during conversations? I read a post that says the new head tracking does indeed “free” the camera view during conversations. In the old version of vorpX I’m using you can move your head around but the camera wont move until the mouse pointer reaches the edge of the screen. So the new update lets you have free camera look while in conversations? How do you select dialog options, with the arrow keys or can you use the mouse still? Just really curious as to how that aspect functions. The version I have is tuned in and perfect but the only thing bugging me is the conversations camera being the way it is. Anyone maybe have any video of a conversation with the new DirectVR for Skyrim?

I was wondering if someone could help. I have previously purchased vorpx but no longer have the download link or any keys or anything. I have filled in the form requesting the link twice now and have also emailed [removed] but I’m just not getting any response either way.
Does anyone know if there is an issue with support right now or is anyone else having the same issue?
