@roman, is your profile full vr or the sbs 3d? Apologies, a bit new to the software.

Problem with using a profile is you cant hook any alternatives for SBS if vorpx hooks because it does it at a lower level or overtakes rendering from other software. This method only applies to games like tomb raider that have built in sbs mode.

To use vorpx with any other 3d injector you need to use vorpx desktop viewer

    reshade works with vorpx !

    @dborosev

You need the generic_depth_mod.addon64 from the discord.com of the “competitor”

Everything for a sbs profile with competitor is there but i can’t get the HUD smaller for FULLVR of vorpx.

FOV and Aspect Ratio works now according to my taste !

    ok, i understand !

if vorpx does not split it’s Z3D image to two different images, sending to your sbs displays, it seems like a driver problem.

Have you played around with opnxr and steamvr settings ?

Otherwise only Ralf can help you with your Setup !

    Hi Dave,

I know how both G3D and Z-Buffer 3D works, compression that I have mentioned is about 3840×1080 (32×9) compressed to 16×9 format with lowering horisontal resolution.

I have succeed with loading save game, but it looks unstable (one time it gets loaded and another time not, probably I need to lower settings even more.

I would like to have Z3D enabled in SBS mode, and unfortunately it does split the screen to SBS but gives no stereo effect. Is there something I can do with this?

    Thank you!

Can you deactivate Z3D, or G3D or lower the resolution while loading a savegame ?

G3D renders the image two times, one for each eye. Z3D renders the image one time and use a physic/math trick to generate a 3D image. That could be the reason why you only get a horizontal compression.

If you install Reshade into Cemu and turn on the Depth3d sbs you can get side by side 3d. If there’s a way to view that in vorpx like dolphin i think it would work
Current, it works in Virtual Desktop in 3d, but i’d rather have it working in vorpx

    Hi Dave,

I’ve tried lowering all the settings with no effect, same hang on 80% loading all the time. Official profile with no modifications.

The glasses itself act as a secondary display when connected (USB-C native and HDMI with special adapter). In 3D mode they are just switching from 1080p per-eye to 3840×1080, so each eye gets separate 1080p image.

With VorpX SBS enabled, I’m streaming game from my 16×9 4K display to Steam Deck (or AYN Odin Pro) where the image gets stretched to 3840×1080 with Moonlight.

In ideal world VorpX can probably create a virtual display of 3840×1080 resolution and put SBS image there, but at the moment it works only with some horisontal compression.

XReal Air AR glasses are like sunglasses, right ? Are you sure that they are supported by vorpx. Is it possible that they are for Movies etc, only ?

The SBS Mode of your glasses uses openxr or steamvr ?

Hi! First of all, my best wishes goes to VorpX development team. You guys are supporting very cool tech that gets ignored by big players. I’m fan of this 3D-stereo tech since 3DVision.

I’ve bought VorpX recently to play Baldurs Gate 3 with my new XReal Air AR glasses (3840×1080 in 3D mode) while streaming via Moonlight from a gaming PC (32Gb RAM, RTX3080, i9).

I do know that SBS output (Generic 3D Display) is quite experimental, but I will still kindly ask for some assistance.

I’ve got Baldurs Gate 3 running in G3D mode with some artefacts, but Z3D seems to give no stereo effect in SBS mode at all. With G3D enabled I can start the same normally, but when loading a saved game it’s get frozen on 80% loading.

Is this something that can be fixed relatively easy?

Thank you very much for your product and support. I believe with more users of AR glasses your client base will also grow :)
Ultimately I would like to see official support for AR glasses in your software, but it’s of course up to you to decide.

Good morning! I bought this a couple of weeks ago in hopes it could replace tridef. The desktop vr viewer is good, but it doesnt do any kind of depth generation, ive even tried something like desktopsbs to mirror my desktop and interpolate to watch youtube with some kind of depth, but it doesnt do it right and im just sitting there crossing my eyes lol. Are there any solutions to this maybe im unaware of? Or is there any chance some kind of feature like this can be added eventually? I have no clue what dark magic DDD used in tridefs media player but it would actually be game changing to view 2d content in 3d in the same manor!

Anybody know how to fix the issue with stuttering on live action custcenes for GTAV.

Am using Generic 3D display, or Generic Headset to output the game, which i view on Virtual Desktop through my Quest 2.

I don’t think it’s an issue with VD or the Quest because the stuttering occurs on my PC screen too where it is displayed in SBS.

I am using the latest version of GTA withnthe latest GTA scripthook downloaded and placed in the game folder.

I have tried Cinematic Mode, and Immersive mode. The cutscenes don’t stutter when i am not injecting.

I have tried minimum graphics settings, and limiting the framerate with nvidia control panel, and turning on gsync. The fps is limited to 60, and game set to 60hz. I have tried various other graphics options in the game.

    Thanks,
    Michael

About that frozen mouse pointer in the vorpx menu: seems to be a focus problem.
When exiting a game, if you do not click on the desktop itself before opening the vorpx menu, mouse will be frozen. Trying to click the desktop while in that menu with the moveable background mouse pointer will not work.
Maybe auto focus and return to mono could be automatic when exiting an SBS game or movie?
Not sure if that’s even possible without the watcher running.

Another minor bug using the new desktop:
Was playing Quake enhanced in SBS and upon exiting the game, pressed delete to return to Mono (to see the desktop well – good opportunity for a hotkey)
The graphical white mouse in the panel was frozen, can see the regular mouse moving behind over the desktop yet clicking has no effect on anything. Leaving and re-entering the panel using delete works but same frozen state.
Press delete again to exit the panel and create troubleshoot logs. Press delete again and it now the panel and vorpx mouse arrow are functional. Created a 2nd set of logs at this point and sending via email. After that, but before the email, closed desktop view and the machine rebooted on its own.
