Wow the new release is awesome! the gesture function, makes it really good.
I would like an explanation of the various parameters if it were possible, because what is written in the menu as information is not very clear.
I find the dx12 hookup improved, even if some games I have to start them with openxr rather than with steamvr, while others the opposite.
with titanfall 2 i had to remove the hide weapon function to have a nice effect with the rifle gesture,
in Forza Horizon 5 instead, the steering wheel gesture works well, I need to figure out how to best adjust the sensitivity of the steering. the problem is that the sensitivity of gestures creates some problems. Let me explain, it doesn’t take much to lose the “signal” of the steering wheel gesture. a suggestion could be the possibility to activate the gesture with a key, for example the left grip. so that beyond the position of the hands, the gesture of the steering wheel starts. I hope I was clear .
Im new to all this and slowly reading my way through the forum and trying to tinker with things.
Anyways i have a few issues with a couple of games that ive tried.
I played Titanfall 2 last night in VR and actually thought it was fantastic the graphics looked good but not great…Im using Steam VR is there a way to make the graphics better in this game? I messed about with satuartion/Brightness etc and it made it stand out more in color but is there a way to make the pixels look more crisp? Is there a way to be able to see the menu in front of me? I feel as if i need take my headset off to read the menu and objectives because its far to close in VR.
When playing Star Wars Lego,i tried the vorpx setting and the game ran in full VR,the issue i had though is that i was right behind the chracter on screen and my head tracking was all over the place….I tried to fix the head tracking via the menu but it wouldnt work. I feel as if im far to close to the character and i actually feel sick (and i never get VR sickness from any game).
Outlast…Outlast looked good but not great in terms of character and item size. I feel as is im either to tall and the chairs and tables are to small or vice versa…im to small in VR…Game looks good though but the size and scale seems off.
TBH i actually really enjoyed playing in immersive mode…I played MK11 in that mode and the 3d effects were really good…I actually really enjoyed this. Sitting on a chair in VR but playing a game within a game really got me hooked…WHat other fighting games or 2d Platformers work well in this mode?
Thanks for any help..and i ll continue to read the forums for more knowledge….Glad i purchased this now.
anyone got any advice for Titanfall 2. No matter what I try the game just looks like Ass in Vorpx. Everything is pixelated and jaggy and just looks low res, and turning on geometry 3d makes it a bit blurry too.
I have tried multiple different resolutions and settings but cant seem to get it looking decent.
in immersive screen mode it looks better but in FullVR its just ugly
Hi Ralf, yes that is because of my bad english. I have simply misunderstood something. You can not put pictures here? That would be easier for communication.
I think I will give up with VorpX. There are so many alternatives like 3DTV Play, Tridef 3D Reshade 3D…. Then I have to wonder what VorpX can do better than those?
But maybe I am doing something wrong. If someone can convince me otherwise then I am ready to test anything.
I have now entered Titanfall 2 in the menu Game/App. There are 15 profiles in the list.
One profile said this:
My settings for Rift CV1 (G3D)
– used 16:9 resolution (2560×1440)
– set FOV to 108 in game
So I should select this profile right?
All I have to do is click on Import Settings?
What does Endorse Profile mean?
once you have wall running unlocked in first person I was surprised how much it plays like titanfall 2, then I realized respawn developed both games….crazy what a change in perspective can do.
Thanks for your answer. I read something about it and many are positively surprised by the result, so I wanted to test it too. I installed the game Titanfall 2 and wanted to play it in 3D. Unfortunately, VorpX is the only alternative I found and I now have a problem.
I have 3 displays: 3D monitor, 3D 4K projector, 4K TV.
When I start the game, the screens are misaligned. I want to play the game via projector. So I deactivated display 1+2. But when I start the game, display 1 is suddenly active and the main screen and display 3 (projector) is the extended screen. Is there a solution for this?
I’ve been waiting to see how this feature might improve game profiles that I like to work on.
I was most impressed by how well the adjustable weapon positioning and fov scaling worked in Titanfall 2. While being able to hide the gun entirely works great for some use cases, I like being able to see the detailed weapon models most of the time. Being able to scale the gun down and drop it down a bit and out from the face would help a lot to get rid of the “facegun” feeling.
The list is shorter currently than I’d like it to be, will check some more first person games shortly together with adding gestures. Got somewhat shoved to the backseat when I started to experiment with gestures. Same for the related authoring UI.
With the current detection mechanism my guess would be that it should be possible to add the feature to maybe half the G3D first person games. Additional manual authoring based on shaders or buffers is thinkable and would probably be able to catch most of the other half, but would also require more work per game than the current mechanism. So no promises in that respect.
Current games with auto weapon hide:
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Black Mesa Source
Crysis
Fallout 4
Half-Life 2 and episodes
Halo MCC (tested only on the first campaign)
Portal 2
Skyrim SE
Titanfall 2
I bought this about 2 weeks ago now and ive tryed about 4 games so far. The best is Titanfall 2, im currently trying to get F1 2020 to work but its so bad, so blurred, the text is unreadable unless u use the middle mouse button to zoom for edges. Im not sure what im doing wrong but this all seems a bit useless to me. Im not all that tech savvy…………. basically I was wondering if someone would advise me on how to get it looking half decent and not so close to my eyes that im suffering a mygraine within a few mins. I have to be doing something wrong
Tried my best to go through and uninstall/close anything that would be interfering and still couldn’t get it working. Tried with a fresh install of Windows 11 with the only things installed bar what is auto installed being what I need to run a.k.a. Oculus, Origin, Titanfall 2 and VorpX. Still wouldn’t work. Tried again to go through what is running on my computer but couldn’t find anything to close that fixed it.
I do have an internal GPU in my CPU but my BIOS doesn’t appear to have an option to disable it. This is the only game so far that straight up refuses to run with VorpX.
Don’t know if this is normal for when a game won’t hook but it pretty much just gives me a white screen with the “Attaching to…” box over it and then closes Titanfall 2 and the “Attaching to…” box a few seconds (sometimes it takes longer, around 30 seconds) after they first show up. I’m kinda out of ideas on what to do from here :(
Is there anything in Windows 11 that would cause it to do this?
Titanfall 2 won’t work. I’ve tried turning off my anti-virus and anything else that the troubleshoot page said might interfere. I hit start on Origin to open up Titanfall 2 it starts loading up alongside the Vorpx hooking message and then after a few seconds it just closes. Would really really wanna play this game with VorpX, if you have any fixes let me know.
