ParticipantHey folks,
Showing up late to the party, I see that we have an official profile for Legendary ME1 (“Mass Effect Legendary – ME1”). Might there be official profiles on their way for Legendary ME2 and 3?
Thanks!

ParticipantSo, a development on this…. (and repeatedly-unsurprising?). I updated all VR-related hardware (HMD and Base stations) and uninstalled and reinstalled SteamVR USB drivers, and all is fine now. The game hooks and runs fine.
FYI, running G3d in highest res – yes, its choppy, but z3d was just fine for me for this one open world MMO (FO76!)
Hope this helps.
I guess in short: Vive Pro 2 works great with VorpX. Just exhaust all other options before pointing to VorpX as being a pivotal point in the issue chain. VorpX is quite far downstream of any other troubleshooting that should be considered first. Generally speaking. Problem with that, of course, is that the list can be unclear at first. And if you are impulsive like I am, you might jump first to the place where you get good customer service. Such as Ralf :)
Thanks, as always, Ralf and others here!

ParticipantFor me, performance isnt an issue (I expect lag running G3D in 4k), but I’m having issues even running the game (i.e. hooking) and I was wondering if it was something to do with the Vive Pro 2, as this issue didn’t occur, even recently, with the Vive Cosmos.

ParticipantIm getting a sense that this is a resolution issue? i changed a game to a lower resolution in -game without the Vive Pro 2, then the game launched at that lower resolution in the vive pro 2. so maybe not accepting the vive pro 2 because of the resolution being too high?

ParticipantHey – reViveing this.
I just picked up a Vive Pro 2 and im experiencing quite a few issues. Not hooking, wonkie resolutions… I’m thinking its not the most compatible with Vorpx. (hopefully thought, just ‘at this stage’).
PLEASE support Vive Pro 2! It cost me an arm and a leg. Not sure why i didnt anticipate anything other than it working fine….. this is PC after all…

ParticipantThank you :)

ParticipantHey Ralf :)
From my read, the next version (21.2.0) should have a fix of this hooking issue with Death Stranding? Are you able to share a general timeline on the update? Weeks, months? Just to know!
Not to push you/the team, or anything :)
Thank you kindly for your efforts!

ParticipantRalf!! A just-recent Steam VR update killed vorpx for me. Has a few errors.
1. vorpX
Oculus runtime init failed. vorpX will not work correctly.
Try to restart the Oculus Software or your PC.
Switching vorpX to SteamVR mode may help in some cases.
Oclulus runtime error:
Couldnt load libOVRRT. (-3001)2. vorpX
D3D12 Steam games do not work currently in Oculus mode.
For Steam games that use D3D12 please change the headset type to ‘SteamVR’ in the config app for now, which will probably fix the problem.3. vorpX
Due to a recent Steam change D3D12 Steam games do not work currently on Oculus mode. For Steam games that use D2D12 please change the headset type to ‘SteamVR’ in the config app for now, which will probably fix the problem.Has anyone else experienced this? And have you been able to correct?

ParticipantAnyone else feelin’ how fitting having the ‘V’ in the sys tray is for this game? Vorpx is the only way to fly. Only way. This is an unreal experience…

ParticipantOne thing since the update – I am using an xbox one controller – I see the keyboard controls overlay in the game. What is the vorpx section where I can chose the Xbox One controller overlay instead, so I can see the right controls for me?
Thanks a ton!
The updated profile looks AMAZING!

ParticipantIm playing with an RTX 3080 and a Vive Cosmos (2880 x 1700 combined pixel resolution). I left on the default video settings in-game (RTX ultra) and when I got to Night City (played ‘nomad’), the frames dropped to the floor, and whole thing chunked down. Had to just play on my monitor in order to get through it (the Night City video and car scene). Now in Night City and using the Vorpx profile, I cant seem to find a resolution that is smooth. My monitor runs the image smooth, but headset has frame losses. Skipping all over the place. Any insights into game resolution settings/tweaks in Vorpx?
Thanks so much for the assist!
