It’s just at the beggining, after the cinematic climbing the ladder.
Also in the next corridor, after opening the first gate.

Yes, at 1920×1080 no distortion and no weird lower area in the Redux version.
I guess any 16:9 resolution will work, but at 1080p it looks very well, I was surprised.

I have the same issue, I wonder what is the “right resolution”

Anyway, I though DirectVR handled the resolution in this game.

Metro 2033 Redux is working for me, but there is distorsion whe you turn.
But the worst is the lower part of the image is something weird like an animated barcode.

Y went there for Metro 2033, and the image looks perfect, but DirectVR isn’t working, so I can’t look up and down. It says rotation scan OK, but doesn’t work.

I have played more than 100h of GTA5 via MOD with alternate eye rendering, and it allows you to have better resolution and/or better frame rate, but the moment you start turning your head, is awfull, really awfull.

If it’s the only way to have the game on VR, is ok for me, but if you can have single frame stereo with half the framerate, I prefer it.

Ralf is not alone in the universe, we have a community here :)
Someone can help with a picture on the front page, someone with a trailer, someone with a list of games.
The WordPress template is not very difficult to install.
Even a simple Google Sheet online with games details will good to have. It’s easy. Probably Ralf already has it.

That could be a community site, separated from the official web, so Ralf doesn’t have to worry to supervise it.

You are thinking in the short term, you have VorpX already and don’t worry about new users, some new features are more important to you.

I’m 100% aware that if there are now new customers, Ralf will not have the money to continue the project.

It’s just that I think that compatibility with more games and HMDs is what will bring customers.

All that features would be cool, but if that means Ralf expending less hours on improving VorpX for making better web, etc, it’s not a good idea.

If he makes the product more and more accesible, more games working, easier to use, marketing will come.
It will come from youtubers, from users on reddit & forums, etc.

Personally I would prefer he working on OpenXR, DX12, etc

Yes, I forgot to say it, the settings that are handled by VorpX (Resolution, FOV), I never change them manually in the game.

And if I change other settings in the game, I restart the game, so I can be sure I have the settings set by VorpX, because sometimes the games “normalize” the settings when you click on accept settings.

That’s why I’m not 100% sure what exact resolution I’m using, I just set 1440p in VorpX and I see it much better than before adding custom resolutions.

are you sure you should run at 8:9 aspect ration, as I usually try and run 4×3

Good question, VorpX doesn’t give me warning if I choose 1680p, like it gives for other big resolutions that I didn’t add in NVIDIA Control Panel, and I have only added 1600×1680.

But I finally used 1440p, and I have 1368×1440 and 1920×1440 in NVIDIA control panel.
20% of times the game launches on a borderless 8:9 window, and 80% of times it launches on full screen, but when it’s full screen it seems streched, so I guess it’s working internally at 1368×1440 because I don’t see performance differences.

The combo “Windows 10 + My Monitor” handles custom resolutions in misterious ways … once also I had the screen black while I played, but only once.

I uploaded my profile, give it a try and tell me how do you feel it. It’s really blowing my mind, so inmersive game in VR.
The key points after enabling G3D were disable S3D shadows, LetterBox 2 and 1.7 3D strength, and I see it at perfect scale/3D, just I see the lower border line.

    wh_horse_CameraCentering = 0

It works, no more weird sttutering, now riding the horse in VR is so awesome and satisfying, no distractions with right stick, you can just move your head.

but The crosshair in game is a little away to the right side for me

Have you tryed changing the “dominant eye” option in Vorp X ? I guess it’s for problems like this one

My main issue with the game was than when on horse, the camera recentered automatically, and this caused a weird “stuttering”. My workarround was touching the right stick every 5 secs, but I have found this that could fix that problem:

“wh_horse_CameraCentering = 0 – Add the line in the user.cfg and the camera centering while riding is gone.”

I have yet to try it, I’ll update this post when tested

I have tryed Assassin’s Creed Origins in FullVR mode, and the way they handle the camera doesn’t like me, it seems like when you put the camera lower, they reduce the FOV a lot, and you see the character huge.

But I thought this variable FOV was something from the game itself, not something related to VorpX.

I would like to play it something like Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice VR when you chose the 1:1 setting for scale,is that posible ?
