Thanks for the quick reply Ralf,
Right, as mentioned, I didn’t use the battle eye software. It asks every time you load the game if you want to install it.
Not having it installed gets you into the game, but never lets you load a save.

(I also tried installing it and trying that, but that won’t even let you attach vorpX.)

Looks sweet. Skeptical about the early access part though.

Yes I asked once before maybe a year ago. Just thought I’d check in on any new developments.
Good to know there is plans for a future fix!
    Thanks!

Interesting if true. As someone who plays a lot of cinema mode games, this would be quite a boost for me.
I haven’t had a huge need to boost my fps just yet, but good to know if I need it. My only wonder on this, is how loss of head tracking would be. For the most part, I know you don’t need it in cinema mode, but when I play I usually have the screen just outside my fov, so I still move my head just a few degrees left or right, which gives a real sense of true VR immersion. Having the screen glued to my face, I’m not sure how I’d like that…
Good find though. Curious to see what others report.

The best supported product out there. And all the new profiles and updates keep things fresh! VorpX is about as ass-kicking a tool as you could possibly imagine. Keep up the good work! I’ll never stop singing its praises to any VR person I meet.

Seems to still work fine. Although I end up playing on znormal just for performance reasons.

Now I just really want to know if Ralf ever finally got into the game or not.
If this isn’t the definitive VR game, then I don’t know what is. FInished it after around 16 hours. Outstanding job.
But as far as the type of game being someone’s preference or not, thats individual taste. Its linear. Its shooter/puzzle style. So not breaking any new ground there. But for an implementation of that style, its 11/10, and classic Valve uncompromising quality.

I love my Rift S. Perfect headset for the price. Had a Vive and O+ before this.
I love not having to worry about base stations either.

I definitely understand the need for a grumpy old man mode. I feel like this for a lot of games. I’m like “yeah yeah, lets get on with it”. And I actually hate a lot of VR’s need for ultra cumbersome manual reloading all the time too. But for some reason, after a hour or 2, it just feels natural for me in this game, and less cumbersome. Its one smooth motion after a while. (And don’t forget you can press a button to re-cock it, you don’t have to grab and slide it every time)
I think the biggest factor in enjoying this game is just how mentally into wanting to immerse/lose yourself in another world you are. If you’re just looking for quick , good gameplay and not too interested in this, then the first half of the game will be pretty slow for you.
If like me, you go in with your rose colored glasses, salivating at a chance to explore a new virtual world of intricate details, then your socks will be blown off.
Sometimes, its just about being in the right mental space or mood to appreciate something. As I get older, the games that will do this for me are more rare, but this is exactly the type of “lose yourself” game I enjoy.
(The combat also picks up a lot in the second half of the game)
I think all the quarantining going on, and knowing that I don’t have anything else pressing going on at the moment actually makes it more fun for me. I can just enjoy it like a good book with my ADHD making me feel like I should be doing something else. :)
If you can get into that mindset, you’ll enjoy it much more.
