dborosevParticipant
The random crashes are only in the ubi+ version of the game, when the game loses the internet connection.
Not true.

dborosevParticipantDepth3D works well for me in the cutscene department, no issues there. Its just that the game gives a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error and crashes every 5 minutes.
dborosevParticipantNo luck with the FC5 profile. Just not hooking.
dborosevParticipantHad to google this game. WTF, was this made by 14 year olds?

Play something else.dborosevParticipantThe thing I will say though is that you can’t return a game on Ubisoft once launched, which is unbelievable in 2021.
dborosevParticipantMeh. Based on one test machine. I wouldn’t sweat it, that’s what early patches are for.
This isn’t their first trip around the block.dborosevParticipantTrue. But they seemed to get rid of the eac relatively quickly on FC5 for some reason.
dborosevParticipantDo you mean just 360 video (which isn’t really vr), or a 360 video with full stereoscopic 3D?
dborosevParticipantFully agree that for FullVR, the magic “reality” formula should be adhered to as much as possible, to prevent throwing one thing or another out of whack, causing an imbalance.
However, I end up playing a lot of my games in immersive or cinema as you know. Why? Could be bc I have a lower end card, could be because I want to prioritize graphics and sacrifice framerate, could be because its 3rd person, could be just personal preference of wanting a larger fov for a game, etc etc.
And I think in these cases, most of the rules could be thrown out the window. Want a massive fov? Go for it. Want that dollhouse effect? Do it. I would say the more options the better, but lock them to the cinema modes perhaps to prevent people shooting themselves in the foot for FullVR.
Just my 2 cents. I think VorpX is great as-is, but there are times where I wish I could have a bit more of that 3D pop for certain situations.
I can feel Ralf rolling his eyes hard right now. hahaha. ;)dborosevParticipantI’ll tell you what really makes the 3D pop on any Z3D game – and thats a wide FOV. Its almost comical how strong the 3D effect you can get by having a higher FOV compared to a small one. Its almost better than G3D and looks great in RE8.
(For anyone out there who likes popping 3D!)dborosevParticipant@jarilo
Your 1080ti (same card i have) will start on fire within 10 seconds of trying to run G3D with this game, if it existed. Also, you will only get 4fps for those 10 seconds.
Crank the 3d to 3.0 in settings to get as good approximation as you can get to G3D.
Suggestion to ralf: would be nice to allow more settings – separation etc, for the 3D in a new vorpx version, to allow more “pop” and deeper 3d look for games in Z3D.dborosevParticipantI’m not sure why but after this patch that just got pushed my left “alt” key binds as “shift” instead for some reason. lol
My left Alt key went bye bye as well, right after the patch. Edit: Ah, just saw Dellrifters comment too.
dborosevParticipantAlso just some feedback on the resolutions:
“Res: 3:4 is a bit too narrow. I would suggest a 4:3 res instead”
I was initially running at 1920×1440 which is 4:3, and it was very blurry.
Thats why I changed it to 1440×1920 and the blurriness went away.dborosevParticipantYep first thing I did was a reset.
But the gamepad works fine so its all good. (probably something I did or didn’t set at some point)
I may wait until I do a computer upgrade later this year to play this one. I want to see it in all its glory.
I did experience one semi-crash where the framerate of the entire headset went to about 1 fps permanently in game. Menus, gameplay, everything. Seemed like a vorpx new alternate eye thing as it popped into edgepeek mode as well. Anyhow just thought I’d report it.
For the most part it worked wonderfully. Just need a new pc sometime soon. :)
Maybe GTA is more my speed for now. -
