jjenssonParticipantShort update: I can’t reproduce the workaround with unplugging the keyboard. Damn. I’ll try to find a way to force gamepad mode in the game.
jjenssonParticipantBut i *want* to use the gamepad controls, like analog movement acceleration. And after all, Fallen Order is made to be played with controller in the first place.
I just figured out that if i unplug my keyboard, the gamepad emulation magically starts working – that is my 1st impression. I think it is an issue w/ the game, because no matter what, the hints for the controls in the start menu are always keyboard-bindings.
I will give an update after i start the gameplay. Thanks!
jjenssonParticipantWhat FOV tweaking method is confirmed working with this game?
jjenssonParticipantThis interests me as well, as i plan to play Watch_Dogs this year (it’s one of my very favorite games).
jjenssonParticipantDidn’t know that. Even more respect, then. []-)
jjenssonParticipantCongrats to all VorpX users, for having such a big list of games to play. :)
And thanks, RJK, for maintaining this list!
jjenssonParticipantNow, that’s a pleasant surprise! I love The Division 1, even though i always lost my progress when my internet broke for the n-th time, LOL…
Sounds like i know what i’ll be playing this December. :)
jjenssonParticipantNah, i can wait. Plenty of other (more important) games to play RN. But thanks for reminding me that there are some other options out there, for trying to get working some of the few games that don’t get VorpX support (ReShade, HelixVision).
jjenssonParticipantOh well… If it’s not working with VorpX, i’m honestly not interested in Doom Eternal. I have lost all joy for gaming on a flat screen, it feels like a big step backwards. []-)
jjenssonParticipantWoah… Saved. With many thanks! []-)
jjenssonParticipantI have not played many games in VorpX yet, only had my Rift S for half a year. But i found The Witcher 3 great in Z3D. Otherwise i wouldn’t have spent 192 hours in it (the VR playthrough was my 3rd one, after a 2 year break… []-)
The outlines did not bother me in the slightest – i look at them as artifacts that are produced when games are rendered – there are many of them in every video game (especially in older ones) and when the brain knows that something is not part of the game visuals, it ignores it.
What bothered me more was a perspective curvature on the ground below the player character (which is not present in TW1 & TW2, both G3D profiles). But again, the brain gets accustomed to this.
jjenssonParticipantLOL… Talk about click bait. ;-)
jjenssonParticipantDoes anyone know how to change the scale a bit smaller? Everything and everyone looks too big (standing in front of someone you realize how big their head is).
I tried raising the 3D-Strength value, and it seemed to work, but now the floor is higher. Reset head tracking doesn’t help. DirectVR scan neither. Is there a solution for this?
If i change my IPD directly in Oculus Dash, would this have an effect in VorpX?
jjenssonParticipantAlright, you convinced me. I’ll try it out. Haven’t played any 1st person games in VorpX yet, so i’m looking forward to it.
jjenssonParticipantSounds good, Ralf, but still: Are there some compromises in the dynamic shadows (i know that Source Engine uses mostly lightmaps) in G3D? If that’s the case, i’d rather use Z3D, because as someone who works with light every day, nice lighting is my Nr.1 immersion factor when gaming. []-)
