ParticipantHi! I have bad experience with kat walk mini. It does not have any keyboard mode whatsoever and we are stuck with their software that sucks. There is , as far as i know, no way to run kat vr without going though their kat vr software. I have kind of complained about it but with no result. The same issue will probably be with their kat loco hardware solution, unless they make it work independently from their software and unless they nake their keyboard mode work as standalone.
Please let’s keep in touch and maybe complain together with them so we can get a better product for the high price we paid. Thanks
I have been so upset to katvr mini that i have been lookikg myself in locomotion methods for both vr and not vr. I have come up with my own DIY method for walking in games , using hardwarea dn software from different vendors and combining them together
I can use this diy locomotion method for any non vr pc game and non vr console game. I can use it in vr, only for those games that have controller / keyboard input enabled (for example skyrim)
I can use the katvr platform, if i want, in conjunction with my diy shoes, but i prefer to have some sort of roomscale feeling and walk and run in place too, when i want, i can do that with my shoes and sensors

ParticipantThe closest I can get to room scale ‘s feeling in any pc and console game (played in vr and not in vr), by walking in place or walking across a room, using an aim controller on the right hand to fire a gun and a glove on the left hand (or 2 gloves – right and left hand) to interact in game to pick up items etc.
Need to still tweak a few things .
I can run or walk in a few different ways based of my preference. Moreover I can bind any button (keyboard or mouse) I want on the aim controller

ParticipantPs: sorry for the slow movement but my play area was not clear enough and I did not set the wiring properly to avoid any tripping hazard

ParticipantAdded a Z3D cinema profile to the cloud for anyone interested. an FOV of 79 in user.cfg and a 16:9 resolution worked best for me.
Performance is good so far, should be able to play in 4k.
What is the name of your profile ? Would love to try it

Participantnot talking about VR here, but is it fully playable in first person ? or buggy ? does the game play well in first person ?
The video I shared is how the game appears on the desktop after installed the 1st person mod.
It says “vorpx” because at the same time that image on the desktop is mirrored in the headset .
I did not play yet the game much at all, but that is how it would look like and it zooms out in 3rd person when a zombie attacks you

ParticipantI wish someone would come up with a better vorpx profile

ParticipantDoes the game zoom in (changing the fov) when drawing your weapon like re7?
Trying to figure out a way with cheat engine to disable weapon draw zoom in re7, curious if re2 has this as well in first person mode.
Does this video I made help?

ParticipantUsing the profile I uploaded on the vorpx cloud and that we mentioned here
also the 1st person mod starts in pimax using vorpx
marcob
ParticipantDoes the above vorpx profile work also for the 1st person mod? Did anyone try? ?
marcob
ParticipantRe2 uses the same re7 engines?
The above profile used in re 2 revive, is re 7 ‘s profile. Somehow it works though I am not sure if the engines are identical
