I tried the ones Ralf suggested and the Quake 4 profile is the one to use with Neverwinter Nights: EE. You don’t need to remap edgepeek and all three modes work. Wish I could increase 3D strength a bit but there’s definitely SOME depth there, noticeable when adjusting camera. Very playable multiplayer if you like to use voice chat too.

Been playing more with Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. It’s really playable and looks amazing with the settings dialed in better, which is a helluva thing for such a grizzled old game.

Would love a better profile that could use virtual cinema/immersive screen modes — it only works in Full VR mode if with edgepeek on, having more flexibility would help.

Will try cloning the profiles you mentioned, Ralf – thanks for the suggestion. Already shared this with a few friends who are squealing with delight.

Works much better after remapping edgepeek button.

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition works for me now, I think I’m using a copy of the Quake III profile using nwnmain.exe in admin mode. In geometry 3D. It looks gorgeous zoomed out like a tabletop game but spazzes out and turns into a postage stamp occasionally. Hitting the middle mouse button seems to sort it out. Something with the camera settings and/or head tracking is going wonky but can probably be fixed easily.

Piddled around on a persistent world server anyway since I had voice chat going with the mic on the rift, REALLY enjoyable to muck around half-playing D&D with people online despite the camera and cursor problems.

Ralf, might be worth taking a look at profiles for NWN1:EE and NWN2, that worked for me as well and was goddamn delightful loading up an old module I made and running around rubberbanding in 3D throughout.

If anyone can sort out the camera or find a good graphics setting that fixes these glitches, shout! They are redoing all the assets and character models for NWN:EE along with improvements to the UI and shaders, so things could improve significantly if we can adjust the UI in a few months.

Wow, I was still working my way through stuff added in the last update! Amazing burst of methodical work, I feel almost spoiled by the selection of games and look forward to revisiting a lot of these, proper geometry mode adds such a surreal touch to these experiences that really amps up the nostalgia on old favorites.

If you’re going to increase the output rate on profiles of this quality, definitely time to revisit monetization schemes for VorpX late this year maybe — because I wouldn’t mind paying for a few more years of this. Something that’s fair and makes both parties feel like they are getting value for money and money for time spent.

Surprised someone hasn’t tried to absorb you into their corporate blob by now and confined your work to their games or hardware. I suppose it’s been more for adventurous, tinkering types but you are getting closer to a smoother, friendlier experience with every release and surely the acquisition vultures will circle.

As if that broken tech demo wasn’t bad enough, ugh… it’s like space sim Scientology.

Looks like the next release has a 5-7% boost in most games. Upgrading my graphics card REALLY helped on stuff like GTA V and Skyrim, amazing the framerates I used to put up with.

Try renaming the exe file and linking the profile to that.

Would love to see Geometry 3D back in Elder Scrolls Online, if that’s ever up for another look…

What’s to keep trying? Just use the Crysis 3 profile and don’t rename anything. Loads just fine and Geometry 3D works everywhere.

What would be the advantage of running this as opposed to Dolphin VR or regular Dolphin in SBS mode and Bigscreen?

Wow! Now that’s a changelog. Thanks for all the hard work, looking forward to digging in this weekend and ignoring my family and the holiday.

Yes, you should stay tuned for the imminent new release because that will also allow WoW in geometry 3D which is a far better 3D effect.

The Z-mode 3D isn’t very strong, I wonder if copying another profile might give a better effect or allow geometry 3d to do something?

The 3D effect is much better if you use tri-def/bigscreen or virtual desktop, tho it makes a lot of the text pretty rough and you have to turn off anti-aliasing to fix the screwed-up skybox. I’d prefer vorpx cinema mode…
