I just copied the Fallout 4 profile and assigned the Fallout 76 exe to it. I haven’t tweaked the settings much yet, maybe when I do I will.

Damn, it was lovely stuff today. They redid the lighting engine and fixed the draw distance, looked pretty wonderful.

Geometry worked but I wasn’t getting enough FPS (admittedly I had it on an ultrawide resolution for my monitor) so I switched modes. Will definitely do some proper tests tomorrow with more appropriate settings.

The FOV change in the INI is reported to work but resets when you come out of VATS.

Conan exile (no battleEye) profile just crashes for me in or out of administrator mode. Any suggestions, prefer G3D

Yes, looks really nice. Shadows are a little screwy, but when aren’t shadows a little screwy? I’ll definitely enjoy this one once I can pull myself away from their two VR releases.

I hope Fallout 76 works out of the box with a Fallout 4 VorpX profile!

Great news, can’t wait to give it a try! Any luck with a better Neverwinter Nights profile?

New update coming with more profiles a bit after the 20th, including Final Fantasy XV

If it uses Unity or Unreal engine, it’s worth trying out using profiles for games using the same engines.

Dig around and search for those titles, for example this comes up:

Black Desert Online with Dark Soul 2 G3D

Nier Automata looks pretty friggin’ amazing, incidentally.

Getting close to that next release, Ralf?

Looking forward to ESO Geometry mode!

Fantastic news about ESO, missed these posts — it looks great in G3D and now we’ve got better video cards for it.

Well it hooks on a cloud Battlefront II 2005 profile with Z modes available but they don’t seem to do much, no 3D depth. Looks nice and crisp tho, with excellent performance but the sliding around is going to make some folks very queasy fast. Will try a few more profiles.

Nice, I’ll have to give this a shot. I remember getting pretty good 3D using TriDef and Bigscreen or somesuch. Did you use a different profile to get z-adaptive? Or just putting it in windowed mode?

Zero Engine, right? The one they used for the two old Star Wars: Battlefront games. Might be worth trying that profile.

On the Beamdog stream today this was brought up, Dagle mentioned that first person could work pretty good in NWN with movement and headlook separated. Combat would be a total shitshow of course and time to zoom out.

No, works great with EE on the Q4 profile. Text is readable, they added scaling so the UI is just fine. The UI and rendering enhancements really make it worthwhile even if you’re sniffy about “enhanced editions” or pissy about 2 lines in Dragonspear. They’ll open up the UI for modifications later this year so there should be even more improvements. Mainly I need to shift the dialogue to the center of the screen, it’s annoying looking to the left all the time. A first person camera mode for exploration would be nice as well, I vaguely recall some old camerahack mods for that but if they revisit the camera for this, we could do better.

Great to know you managed to make it hook on the older edition tho! Maybe I had my permissions wrong or something, I tried many times since openGL support was added and never got results.

This is the one that hooks:

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/704450/Neverwinter_Nights_Enhanced_Edition/

They are making it a lot simpler for add ons with the steam workshop and put the multiplayer server back up. They are selling it on the beamdog site, then they give you a steam key. I think they’ll turn the direct steam sales on in a few months, then I think it’ll be on GOG as well with the old version withdrawn like their previous EE releases.

They are doing some useful updates that will help for VR performance. Looks really nice on a 4k too.

For 1, it’s definitely the current beta “Enhanced Edition” Beamdog is working on with improved rendering/shaders/etc, I wasn’t able to get Diamond Edition from GOG to hook. Probably for the best, I get way better performance in the EE anyway.

2 from GOG works off a copy of The Witcher profile in quite good Geometry 3D in the game itself if you turn off bloom in the settings. Otherwise you get quite wild visual distortions if you move the camera. Once bloom is turned off, pretty playable except for annoying flickering loading menus and there’s some oddball shadow artifacting.

Would be great if you could spot anything that would help. Great base to start from tho, very encouraging. Thanks!
