Hi Ralf! Great work as always, tho I’m having some trouble like that guy on the first page… Full VR isn’t letting me exit Edge Peek mode once I’ve clicked it. I have to keep switching back and forth again from Immersive to Full VR until it’s zoomed back in again properly and fills my Reverb G2. At which point head tracking goes a bit wonky and it’s too frustrating to play much longer.

Not sure what’s causing it, never had this problem with Vorpx before but this mod is definitely doing it here no matter how many times I reinstall it.

“and Squadron 42 are able to beat it. ”

bwahhaahah yeah once that decade-old audio of Gary Oldman sleepwalking his way through a bad script hits our brains, it’s over for Rockstar and CDPROJEKT.

Once they ship a single successful game, you can compare those clowns to literally the most successful studios in the business.

Yuck. What a cruel thing to do to people. It’s still the same content-free tech demo it always was. Buy an Idris!

A VR HUD mod would be go down really well with this to make things a little friendlier and less frequent edgepeek mandatory. People are already making them with the client side files and it’s totally doable.

Wow! Gorgeous in Geometry 3D! Spot on FOV. Good performance. Thanks so much, Ralf!

The z-normal actually looks pretty damn nice in its own right. Gorgeous game world, much better than F4 in my opinion.

Yeah, it’s definitely an acceptable option for those with struggling GPUs or in need of more FPS. Power Armor visuals are distorted and hard to look at tho, at least using the renamed FO4 profile. What an astonishing creation, the various regions are really terrific environments — Cranberry Bog in 3D, ACKGGKKGKGKGKGGKKGkgughrgh! Definitely bigger hordes coming at you in high level areas than Fallout 4, pretty tense situations if you’re alone with a box strapped to your face.

Looking forward to the good stuff later today — had a really great time last night, half in VR and half on ultrawide. I love the world building, the satisfying game loops, the random chaos of other players — most of whom so far are super friendly. DOF effect stripped away, shout hosanna!

This is way more my speed than something like ESO, I can’t get into that WoW gameplay for some reason. I know it’s getting a lot of indignation from the WE WANT THE SAME BUT DIFFERENT brigade online, but I applaud the experimentation. You can also feel the DNA of things like UO and Galaxies coming from the Austin studio. Bravo, Bethesda! Now get cracking on a VR port when you finish Wolfenstein and Blades VR.

Really, no resets after VATS or fast travel? Sounds good!

all the Borderlands games work amazingly, very good 3D and the art style suits these pixel arrays.

I’m finding myself twitching, desperate to try this again. The Ash Heap and new particle effects and radiation storms in 3D – Brian Wilson falsetto as you dodge Molemen — oh MAN.

One thing folks might want to keep in mind is your mic levels on your headset and the settings in general because it defaults to always on — ask someone how loud your gain is up, you could be emitting the most horrific sounds. Ie, attempts at Brian Wilson falsettos. They need to implement better control of devices and levels in-game for sure.

Man, this is going to be a treat to sink into this winter. Thanks for the fast work, Ralf!

Any way to disable that awful DOF effect? As mentioned, INI edits didn’t give much satisfaction.

Terrific, you even managed FOV without it resetting? It was a real treat seeing that world in 3D, proper FOV would be even better.

Yes, and there’s a mod on Nexus to let you tweak the HUD for ultrawide (it’s squashed if you use the INI edits) so we could conceivably tweak it for VR as well and arrange the HUD elements in a better location without too much difficulty.

PC specs: 1080ti doing most of the heavy lifting, I think another reason I switched out of Geometry was because I was indeed running a wonky ultrawide resolution for my monitor and that was just too many pixels to crunch for G3D. I didn’t get a chance today to try anything due to work but will fiddle a bit on the Sunday session and see if G3D can be made more playable.

One annoying about the INI edits is some of them are ignored or just reset.

Man, I hope they add official support in a few years. This kind of world with consistent updates, proximity chat, and the promised private servers and mods in 2019 would be a wonderful thing to have for years to come.

Yes, it started with G3D on but it was moving so slowly I switched to Z Adaptive, didn’t get a good look at it and didn’t try lowering my resolution and lower settings first to help cope with it. Definitely worth taking a look at, but would love a Direct VR proper profile tho!
