Jan 11, 2020 at 7:53pm in reply to: Star Wars Republic Commando with RJK’s profile: no depth on many elements #191819OvoParticipant
Done, thanks!
OvoParticipantYou have to set your desired resolution as your actual desktop res in the Windows display settings. And revert when you’re done playing.
It’s the only way I’ve found.OvoParticipantAnyways, fixed it today. The updated profile will be included in the next vorpX. Hope you can wait a little longer.
Sure, thanks!
OvoParticipantPerfect, thanks!
OvoParticipantSo, I tried the game’s public beta and the offending lights were disabled. I suppose the profile was made with the beta version then. Though on the beta, I have to rescan for DirectVR every time, while on the stable version DirectVR stays cached.
OvoParticipantOk, here is a save (can’t send e-mails from this pc), it’s just 1 minute in, the issue is with the tram’s headlights: https://framadrop.org/r/Wn5hb4BU1J#G4dMHK/rParpfOFIHw9yO08IUY9Cy/hj6u1RFnJ4uCA=
I did reset the profile.
But I also played more and actually most problematic lights are at the beginning, the tram headlights being the worse. The rest of the game is mostly fine. (Up to chapter 6)OvoParticipantSame here, I played for half
a lifean hour, lots of lights have stereo issues, about everywhere.I played the game for quite some time myself a while ago without encountering any such issue, but who knows, maybe it occurs later.
What version of the game was it? Can you try the current version on Steam?
OvoParticipant[redacted]
OvoParticipanthey man, does this profile work for the GOG version?
Yes, it works with the 10th anniversary edition from GOG.
I found RJK’s settings pretty weird though, very flat 3D on normal zoom level.OvoParticipantThe only downside is that in cinema mode you don’t have EdgePeek. On the other hand cinema mode provides greater control over things screen curvature and other ‘pro’ settings.
Immersive Screen Mode was originally introduced for those who prefer an easy setup, hence I’d like to keep the number of settings for this mode to a minimum.
Could we have an EdgePeek option for cinema mode then? In many games I play in cinema mode, I need EdgePeek so I’m forced to use Immersive Screen and deal with the ambient light which I don’t like much.
OvoParticipantHey, thanks a lot!
Migcar, your settings didn’t remove the ring (wow and if you play with these, you’re killing your eyes mate!), I believe because you only shared settings for the existing profile and not a new profile. But thanks to Zeveral’s advice I was able to find and hide the ring shader myself, as well as fix a bunch of light halo’s depth. It’s perfect now! :D
I might publish my profile once I’ve played enough to make sure it’s really perfect.OvoParticipantWoah, RJK’s list is huge! And the 3D screenshots are super useful
OvoParticipantThanks moadepth. Many of the games you mention are not on the supported games list, how do you make them work? User profiles?
OvoParticipantErratum: not every game has this issue. I can’t tell from the top of my head which games have it except for Skyrim, that I’m sure of it.
OvoParticipantHow are your Nvidia settings? You don’t have AA cranked, do you?
No, all default settings, no AA. 1x internal resolution in VorpX and 1.4 application supersampling from SteamVR but I don’t think it applies to VorpX.
I’ve disable graphical mods, no help. What’s your performance in Markarth? It’s my benchmark. I can get 90 fps in dungeons with mid settings but markarth is reprojection heavy, even on low.
