RJK_Participant@stryker i meant my to do list
BTW: Allowing access to the shader tools for everyone was a very good decision, way better profiles can be created. (Not many people are making use of that though.) One thing i am wondering about is that the guys from the helixmod didnt jump on this, noone can tell me they will stick to 3D-Vision for the rest of their life.I have just played an hour or so with 3D-Vision last night, it was horrible compared to VorpX, everything was so small, i could barely spot my enemies (COD 4).
RJK_ParticipantI would be in doubt that this game still can be run because its an onlinegame, i am pretty much shure its servers have been disabled ages ago.
If you are playing the first release from 1999/2000, that would definately not work because its very likely DX7 or DX8. If so you can try the DGVOODOO2 wrapper and see if its runs with the default DGvoodoo2 profile.
RJK_ParticipantAh the postman confused me a bit. (with a game delivery, what else
)
I meant i am not shure if the DX pipeline nessecarily will also work when OpenGL is working. If you would like to test that, install that demo above (DX9) , here is the direct link,or any other DX9 game that has a 3D profile . If that is Stereo 3D and the games you have tried are both DX11, then theres very likely a bug somewhere in the DX11 pipeline. Anyway i would try out some lower Graphics drivers too. (That is officially not recommended, but can may be help for bug hunting) I have recently observed a weird behave of a (not supported) game by only changing the HMD firmware and the graphics driver. Hope youll find a solution.
RJK_ParticipantHyperspace is openGL, (no not not 360°) but i would say if that works, everything else should work too. I think probably only Ralf can say more about that.
RJK_ParticipantThe two WRNs are no errors and dont mean anything important.
If you are seeing the lounge room in steroescopic 3D and only not the screen i would do the following (may be some kind of stereo inverse bug), look which key is used for Enable/Disable Stereo 3D. Push that button while the game is running slowly a couple of times. In Full VR use SHIFT+Mousewheel to see if you can enlarge your screen. Then make sure that you are running the game in the required DX mode. (Dx9 or Dx11). Unfortunately in can not tell which DX version those two profiles require. If you dont have any other games on stock you may try this demo or download these free screensavers and run HYPERSPACE. They both require a profile from the cloud, “Farbrausch” and “Really Slick Screesavers” Tell us if you get any S3D.
RJK_ParticipantJust for a test, another thing you can check is, how does the cinema mode “lounge” look like ? Is that a 3demensional room and youre sitting on a chair in front of a cinema screen or does it look flat (same image in both eyes) ? My idea is that the headset may not be working properly.
RJK_ParticipantKeep us informed if you manage to solve this.
Another thing you could try at least for debugging is find your temp folder (somewhere under c:/user/…/temp) and clean that folder while vorpx is not running. Then start vorpx , start a game that definetaly has 3D. Shut game down and go to your temp folder, open vorpx.log and see if there are any lines beginning with WRN: and ERR: – Post them here.
But as Ralf said its nearly impossibe that you dont see any 3D while the Geometry Setting is enabled.
RJK_ParticipantVery strange indeed.
Another thing you can try is reset the ingame key bindings or make a full factory reset (under trouble shooting). And/or reset the nvidia grahips settings, that Afterburner use sounds a bit suspicious.Have you changed your graphics drivers recently ? Go a version higher or lower or reinstall them.
RJK_Participant
RJK_ParticipantYou probably meant SteamVR ? BTW: Steam is not required to run a game with SteamVR and VorpX, you only need a steam account where you download and/or update SteamVR with. – Just to make confusion perfect ;-)
RJK_ParticipantThanks !
RJK_ParticipantLet me throw in a short question, are the official profiles of Battlefront 1+2 for the games from 2004/05 or the new ones from after 2015 ?

RJK_ParticipantThis is quite simple. Right click on a game in the local profile list, make a copy and add the renamed games exe to that profile “ADD” button. If a games exe has the same name that a local profile already has you will get an error message, therefore rename the games exe.

RJK_ParticipantMay be thats an openGL issue, i remember Unreal Tournament behaving similar. Another thing you can do check the VorpX HUD Settings and give the 3 sliders different values. If you can rename the executable of the game, do that, then try different Quake profiles , also try the Descent 2 and Star Wars: Jedi Knight II – Jedi Outcast profile with the game.
RJK_ParticipantI would rather suggest trying to sell VorpX to Nvidia for 20-30 Mill. Everything would be under one roof. Things can be fixed much easier then for every single game seperately.
