RJK_ParticipantI play such games rather with 3D-Vision where the 3D effect is more real. For my taste Z3D and stuff is a joke. Just position yourself close to a 3D Object and compare it with a 3D Vision view and youll know what i am talking about.
Do you own 3D-Vision ? IF not its really worth trying as long vorpX doesnt cover more games.Mar 24, 2018 at 3:02pm in reply to: Serious stuttering in Skyrim – please help, I'm getting desperate :) #171962
RJK_ParticipantNot sure what you mean by the 2 render options,
I have vorpX on another PC- Go through the ingame menu until you find a page with two buttons below each other, one is saying something like fluid whatever, the other async something. Try around different settings see what happens while keeping an eye on the framerate.

RJK_ParticipantWhat you could try in the VorpX ingame menu, press ALT+F to monitor your framerate, if its not at 90 play with the two renderoptions . Whenever i get framedrops, playing with these can help sometimes. Is V-Sync OFF in the NVidia Control panel ? I would optimize these settings for better performance anyhow. I noticed occasional resests when enabling 3D Vision for example.
Besides I could imagine that steam has updated something in the background without asking you. I dont use steam, only when there is something i cant go on without. I wouldnt be even a member of this shameless service if i hadndt been forced into registration through my VIVE purchase. I have installed steam and steamvr once and made an immediate backup of the steam and steamvr folder. They download so much shit in the background once you are online and you never know what they are doing, once i saw a “Windows DirectX Driver” beeing downloaded !!?? They dont give a damn about disabling “downloads”.
If you have a backup of your steam and steamv folder, overwrite the recent ones. Watch out that you dont lose your games though. Thats just an idea. – Run SteamVR directly, not through the steam window. I think its the dashboard something .exe you can call directly without entering steam. I have a shortcut on my desktop for that. I think that could be possible with any steam game.
But as you mentioned running another game went out perfectly this must have something to do with your skyrim settings. May be different things come together, like i am not shure if your ramspeed is a bit low for higher demanding games)
BTW: BIG THUBMS UP FOR VORPX, not dealing with the so much hated steam servie for selling the product.
RJK_ParticipantHellgate Screenshot (Depth Demo)

enjoy

RJK_ParticipantI was talking 360 degree beginners crap in my above posting, best forget about it.
An SBS screenshot is just good enough.
RJK_ParticipantMy honor

But be warned, whenever some day a fixing tool drops from the sky …
RJK_ParticipantRalf, is it possible to get in touch with you via Email ? I used the Contact Form for some comments before but i wasnt shure if they have reached you. I have some constructive thoughts which i would prefer not discuss in the forum.
RJK_ParticipantI see you guys mainly playing newer games. How about some older ones.
I haven t been palying so many games in VR yet (rather fixing em, haha)
so here are my favorites so far-Hunted: The Demons Forge
-Avatar: The Game
-Hellgate London
RJK_ParticipantThis lead me to a question,
some people dont comment their profiles.
Is it posssible to find out what was the base of a modified profile ?
May be a HEX Header or something i could read out ?
RJK_ParticipantOh my goodness, i just found a profile in the cloud that really workes in G3D !
And guess what, is uses the Gothic 3 Profile. I gave the profile some more depth and changed it into Full VR Mode. Nice 3rd person view now with a huge zoom range. Increase 3D FOV enhancement for an even larger overwiev. (just in case someone is looking for Hellgate London for PC in VR .The cloud is a REAL good thing !
VorpX
RJK_ParticipantYou could try an OpenGL profile like from KOTOR or Neverwinter Nights 1, Quake 3 / 4 ect.
RJK_ParticipantI opened a new thread (because i refer to the forum from a cloud propfile) introducing an alternative solution HERE
RJK_ParticipantYes i have. The Dunia Engine seems rather something like a FC 2.9 because using a FC3 profile works best for the game. The G3D was perfect accept the shades were wrong. That could be worked around by disabling bloom and lower shadow quality i think it was. Inside the miltary base G3D was perfect, but soon as you enter the forest a certain layer of objects (plants) is totally out of depth. I have uploaded a profile to the cloud which can demonstrate how good G3D can look in that game (and how bad).
There is an issue with a vertical stretch that can be handled by using a custom resolution 16:9.
RJK_ParticipantOh man i am probably the worst gamefixer of all times. Avatar looked so nice at the military base, when entering the forest plants and trees were completely mixed up.
@Ralf ,could you have a hand on this when you find some time ? Unfortunately there are only a very few games using the Cryengine, some Cry2 and 3 Profiles offer G3D but some objects are rendered heavily at wrong depth.
RJK_ParticipantHey 18.1.4

Thank you Ralf. youre the man !
