RalfKeymasterMight be best to forward the message to him just in case MyCommerce didn’t notify him too, not really sure how they handle that. His data should have been added to our license database though, so getting his key should just work. Let mey know if not.
RalfKeymasterThe author name for official profiles is always vorpX.
RalfKeymasterUpdate: The Game Pass version uses DX12 now while the Steam version is still DX11. I uploaded a profile with DX12 support to the cloud.
Caveat: Unfortunately the DirectVR FOV and tweaks also don’t work currently for the Game Pass version, which can’t be fixed with a profile update. For the time being please select a 4:3 resolution (e.g. 1920×1440 or 1600×1200) and set the game’s FOV to 112. With a 4:3 res that’s the right value in this case.
The next vorpX will come with working auto FOV for the Game Pass version.
RalfKeymasterNo problem here. Please DO NOT disable automatic settings. vorpX has to adjust various settings for the game to work as intended.
RalfKeymasterPlease double check the pinned trouble shooting guide on top of this sub forum (or in the vorpX help) in that case. Such an issue in almost all cases is caused by some interfering application that prevents vorpX from hooking into games. The guide has more details on that.
RalfKeymasterIf you happen to use the GamePass version, that doesn’t work anymore currently as it seems. The Steam version still works fine.
RalfKeymaster@ frommdog: The profile for the game has full DirectVR support of the highest possible level, all you need to do is running the DirectVR memory scanner, i.e. press a button, after entering the game world. vorpX takes care of everything else. No need to tweak anything except potentially adjusting resolution/detail settings depending on your PC’s performance.
RalfKeymasterThere is a default profile for the game. Please remove the profile you created for ‘outerworlds.exe’, that’s not the actual game .exe.
The actual game .exe is usually named (depending on the store you bought the game from): indianawindowsstore-win64-shipping.exe, indianaepicgamestore-win64-shipping.exe, indianasteam-win64-shipping.exe, or (maybe) indiana-win64-shipping.exe.
All of these are already assigned to the default profile, so normally the game should just work. If your actual game .exe is named differently, it would be great if you could let me know.
RalfKeymasterIf you need hook helpers for several games, I’d strongly recommend to check for potentially interfering programs instead. On a system without any conflicting application they should be almost entirely unnecessary (except for Red Dead Redemption 2 since a recent nVidia driver update).
While great care is taken to keep track of hook helpers, even if copied manually, to allow a clean uninstall, I’d like to keep their usage to an absolute minimum for a host of reasons. Brute force DLL overrides are not exactly a desirable way to hook into a program IMO, hence officially hook helpers can only be installed via the trouble shoot dialog if necessary.
A hooking conflict with some other program might also be the reason for your 3D problem. The vorpX control app never does a normal hook attempt when it detects a hook helper, regardless whether it was installed or copied over manually. Was fairly obvious that someone would try the latter, so the control app always double checks whether a hook helper is present.
RalfKeymasterNice!
RalfKeymasterYou should see a message about that in the lop/left corner of game window normally. Unfortunately the automatic on/off detection fails for this game. ALT+C helps.
RalfKeymasterSome games do not allow mouse and gamepad input at the same time. Since vorpX often emulates a mouse for head tracking it has a built in gamepad to mouse/kb mapper to deal with such conflicts. This way you can still use your gamepad together with vorpX’s head tracking mouse emulation although normally that wouldn’t work in a game.
So, whenever this feature is enabled for a profile, there is usually good reason for that. Disabling it would probably cause the above mentioned input conflict between head tracking and gamepad input. If you still want to try, you can disable it on the Input page of the vorpX ingame menu (X-Box Gamepad Override).
RalfKeymasterIt’s the official profile, author name vorpX.
RalfKeymasterThere is an updated Rocket League cloud profile with DX11 support now. Importing it should get you going again.
Judging from some training gameplay and a brief online match it seems to work fine. If you encounter any issues, let me know (including exact steps to reproduce!).
RalfKeymasterTry to launch the game directly from your Windows desktop without using the Oculus desktop first. Normally that should work, but in case it causes some kind of issue, it might make sense to try without.
