RalfKeymasterNever tried coop mode myself but haven’t heard anything about it all those years, so chances are good that there is no blocking anti-cheat that may get into the way.
RalfKeymasterJust a little heads-up for all S.T.A.L.K.E.R players that DX9/static lighting is required to be set in the game options for G3D. Dynamic lighting causes severe glitches with moving objects (e.g. doors).
I added a better message in that regard for the next update, wasn’t exactly clear until now.
RalfKeymasterNo worries, I just wanted to save you some unnecessary mouse clicks. Apparently I misread your post and thus thought you always do that.
RalfKeymasterSorry for the forum post issue. Unfortunately the forum software sometimes classifies posts as spam when they are edited. It probably wrongly considers edits posting the same thing multiple times occasionally.
Regarding PSVR please check the tutorial below. While vorpX does not support PSVR officially, you should be able to get it working following the tutorial:
Please also check for potientially interfering programs on your PC. You can find a list with potential candidates here.
RalfKeymasterI can imagine a few cases where that is useful, but for the most part you shouldn’t have to switch the desktop resolution before launching a game with high resolution – provided you have added the res in your graphics driver control panel and can select it in the game’s options.
RalfKeymasterThere is no memory scan, but you should see the DirectVR page in the menu where you can change the resolution. If not, please check for the things below:
1. Reset the profile to its default settings in the config app.
2. Make sure ‘Don’t optimize game settings’ is UNCHECKED in the config app.Whenever a profile supports DirectVR auto resolution, you see a reminder how to change it in the top left corner of the game window.
RalfKeymasterVulkan is definitely something I will look into with future games in mind. DX12/Vulkan hand a lot of control to developers though, making things potentially harder for vorpX, so what will be possible for these APIs in terms of 3D remains to be seen.
RalfKeymasterYou could start the desktop viewer, disable the vorpX watcher, and run the game windowed (borderless).
I will look into *very* *basic* *2D only* Vulkan hooking sometime this year, but don’t get your hopes up for Vulkan with 3D anytime soon.
RalfKeymasterBought it yesterday without checking first. Unfortunately you are both right in a way. Apparently they ported the engine to the Vulkan API (OpenGL successor) with no DX11 renderpath being available.
RalfKeymasterIf I may chime here:
For playing roomscale style the native port is the better choice.
For playing seated and/or using mods that require the Fallout 4 script extender vorpX is the way to go.
RalfKeymasterShort update: “works fine” was a bit premature. While 3D works fine, the game handles FOV in a rather unusual fashion: it’s essentially impossible to set an FOV value that is both horizontically and vertically correct when playing with a headset.
Long story short: the profile will not be included in the next update. I *may* take another look later, but can’t promise anything.
RalfKeymasterChecked it today, works fine in general. Only thing that is a bit odd is the player weapon, which is a 2d bitmap and technically part of the HUD.
RalfKeymasterWhat exactly was your problem? Resolution is handled by DirectVR. Don’t get confused if the image looks stretched on your monitor, it’s fine in the headset.

RalfKeymasterWith the default Z3D no positional tracking is available, but you can enable positional tracking in the vorpX menu if you are playing with Geometry 3D. It’s a bit glitchy though, hence disabled per default.
RalfKeymasterIf you can provide a savegame directly before the issue occurs, I can check whether it’s a general issue or not. Never heard of the issue before, but who knows. Please send a mail with the savegame to support |at| vorpx com.
