RalfKeymastervorpX only uses the SDK for accessing the tracker so that shouldn’t be an issue at all. DX9 support in vorpX will stay.

RalfKeymasterReinstalling Windows is no guarantee, but certainly worth to try.
You will need a new activation key afterwards, but that is no problem. To get it simply send your request code like you did when you first installed vorpX.
RalfKeymasterProbably not for the 0.6.0 release which seems to have quite a few issues. Once Oculus irons out the kinks, vorpX will be updated for 0.6 of course.

RalfKeymasterUnfortunately it’s impossible to give specific advice if an issue is not replicable here. There almost certainly is something on your PC that causes a conflict with vorpX. Especially in your case this is the only logical conclusion, since, as you said in an earlier post yourself, vorpX worked fine for you when you bought it and suddenly stopped working later.
All I can recommend at this point is what I recommended above already, which is double (and triple) checking for things that may interfere with vorpX.
RalfKeymasterIt doesn’t really make sense in most cases BTW, with the exception of racing games and flight sims. In almost all other games there is no such thing as a center direction.
RalfKeymasterRe-orientation also done with [ALT][SPACE], but for technical reasons only possible in Virtual Cinema mode.
RalfKeymasterPer default [ALT][SPACE] re-centers the pos tracking. You can check (and change) all available shortcuts in the config app.
RalfKeymasterPortal 2: Do you use a non-default Steam setup (for example Portal 2 not installed in the Steam directory)? For Portal 2 the optimizer may rely on the game being in the default location (not 100% sure currently). So it may fail when you use a custom directory.
If applying the optimizer settings fails for a game, you can usually apply the most important setting (FOV) manually. Googling FOV + game name in many cases brings up easy to follow tutorials.
Just in case: Steam or not, for many games the optimizer can only work correctly for legit game versions.
RalfKeymasterPlease send a mail to support |at| vorpx com like suggested or use the contact form linked above.
RalfKeymasterPlease make sure to change the orientation of the Rift like mentioned in the guide, NOT the orientation of your other monitor.
You have two options:
A. The convenient one (works with most games)
1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
2. Use the Rift DK2 as SECONDARY monitor in Windows
3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
4. Set vorpX to “Show on DK2″ display wise in the vorpX config app.B. The compatible one
1. Set the Rift DK2 to “Extend Desktop to HMD”
2. Use the Rift DK2 as PRIMARY monitor in Windows
3. Set the Rift DK2 to “Portrait” mode in Windows
(might be “Landscape flipped” in Windows 8)
4. Set vorpX to “Use system settings” display wise in the vorpX config app.
RalfKeymasterDid you follow the steps in the DK2 Setup Guide that comes with vorpX? It explains how to configure everything correctly.
Please also read the other guides in the vorpX help, especially the Essential Game Hints and the Quickstart Guide. They also contain important information.
RalfKeymasterThe current vorpX version (0.81) does not work with older firmware. 0.5.0 is required, otherwise the Rift will not be detected by vorpX.
RalfKeymasterThe Witcher 3 crash is being looked into right now. While it’s not exactly a great game for VR (3rd person), it certainly would be nice in Virtual Cinema mode. The issue seems to be quite odd and hard to locate though unfortunately, no guarantees for a solution yet.
Please use the wishlist sticky for wishes to avoid unneccesary clutter. Thanks! I will close this post.
RalfKeymaster[ALT][SPACE] (re-) centers the positional tracking in vorpX. If needed you can change this and other shortcuts in the vorpX config app.
RalfKeymasterThe normal cursor in Legend of Grimrock can’t be duplicated for stereo 3d display hence the vorpX stereo cursor kicks in. There is no real way around this, all you can do is disable the vorpX cursor manually with [ALT][C], but that is probably not of much use since the standard cursor doesn’t appear where it should.
