Only if you have set “Handle Gamepads internally” to “Off” and “Head Tracking as Gamepad” to “On” . You could check this.

This will happen. Internally it is already configurable, but it’s not exposed to the menu system, which isn’t a problem.

The idea was to keep things simple, but you (and some others who wanted that) won. :) Will make it’s way into one of the next releases.

For head tracking you have to enable FSX’s freelook mode, [SHIFT]O per default, I believe. But that might be different for your FSX installation.

Sorry it doesn’t work for you. That not even the shortcut method does the trick is especially odd… Maybe just try DX10, doesn’t have Stereo 3D, but if it works, you would at least be able to fly a bit.

Might be a long shot, but do you happen to have any d3d9.dll in your FSX folder? I remember some people using frame limiters and such in FSX. If so, please remove the d3d9.dll, this is generally not supported with vorpX.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay. As the registration dialog states: please allow 48hrs. for activation. Shoudn’t take that long though.

    Thanks for your patience

Did you try both the DX9 and the DX10 mode? Both *should* work (DX10 only partially though), but maybe for you at least one of the two does the trick.

You also might want to try hooking with a special vorpX shortcut, which I described here:

Cant get Mirror's Edge and Metro Last Light to work.

Unfortunately you are pretty much on your own when you use special loaders etc. Some games seem to work fine when using such loaders (for example Skyrim works fine here using SKSE), but others might not. I might look into this at a later point in time for more popular games, but I have to admit that this is not that high on the priority list. Sorry.

Guys, if you have so many issues that almost nothing works, please send me a mail to support |at| vorpx com (again), and we will find a solution. It’s hard to tell what is going on with your rigs, and I think it’s safe to say that the majority of people do not have such huge issues.

But if really nothings works for you, that is not a good thing, of course.

Mmh, sounds pretty normal, and also damn close to my main development machine, with the only obvious difference being a GTX560 instead of your GTX660. Pretty strange.

I reckon you did all the usual stuff, latest drivers, trying a reboot and so on? You might also try to disable any program that diplays something above a games screen. Like Fraps or any messange (Skype etc.) you might have installed. No guarantees that this halps, but it’s what I would try first.

Sometimes you simply have to try again. Usually two or three times should suffice though.

You can also create special vorpX shortcuts, that hook a game in another and more reliable way. Right-click the vorpX tray icon and select “Create Desktop Shortcut”, then select the .exe you want to start. This will create a shortcut on the desktop, as the menu entry title suggests. ;)

While using these shortcuts it might make sense to pause the ‘watcher’, also via the right click menu of the tray icon.

Unfortunately these shortcuts do not work well with many Steam games, but it’s always worth a try.

I’m sorry to hear that you have so many problems. Since there aren’t any other complaints of this kind so far, please at least consider the possibility that it might have something to do with your system. Not sure whether this leads to something, but could you briefly post the main specs of your machine (processor, graphics card, OS etc.)? Maybe that gives a hint.

This is probably a long shot, but if by chance you happen to have a SLI or Crossfire system, disable this. Neither SLI (nVidia dual graphics cards) nor Crossfire (ATI/AMD are dual graphics cards are currently supported.

Mind if I start? I have played quite a few. Mine is something rather old, and it’s not even particularly well suited for the Rift. But I got so lost in it back then that simply walking around in it brings up many fond memories, multiplied by the Rift-Factor.

What is it? Elder Scrolls: Morrowind (with the gorgeous Morrowind Overhaul Mod Collection). Simply beautiful.

    Hi RescueGamer:

Currently vorpX *requires* an Oculus Rift to work, which was also stated as system requirement on the purchase page…

Since you already bought vorpX, I guess we’ll have to figure something out for you. Please send a mail to support |at| vorpx com as soon as possible, I’m sure we’ll find a way to make you happy one way or the other.

Currently this isn’t possible, but I have an idea how this might be possible for quite some time. It’s pure theory ATM though, so it might or might not get implemented in future versions. Depending on if and how the theory turns out to work in practice. :)
