ParticipantYeah don’t get me wrong it would of course be better if i could get it working as intended but as long as i can still play Red Dead & Cyberpunk in VR then i’m happy.

ParticipantYeah headset seems to be working fine, with the virtual monitor setting turned off i can start VorpX now so i’m not that fussed about having the virtual monitor, just tested to see if RDR2 still works for me & it does so i’m happy.

ParticipantA little more info, i was able to open the config app & turn off the virtual monitor which now lets me start VorpX without the black screen so it does indeed appear to be some problem with the virtual monitor for me which is weird because i have been using 24.1.0 for a while & the virtual monitor option has always been on & i never had this problem till just recently.

ParticipantI just tried to start VorpX & suffered the same problem so looks like i was wrong, downloading & repairing using the link you provided did not fix my problem, i think there was a recent oculus/meta driver update, maybe that has something to do with it.

ParticipantIt happened out of the blue, i restarted my computer a few times then tried to start VorpX but screen would just go black, in my headset (rift S) i could see the oculus menu but i could not get to my desktop to do anything, trying to view the desktop in the headset only showed a black screen with some orange symbol in the centre so all i could do was restart the computer.
Since i downloaded & repaired from the link you provided above i have not had the problem again.

ParticipantAfter a windows update when i tried to start VorpX (24.1.0) my screen would just go black, no error messages or anything & i would have to restart my computer, just installed the x86 & x64 versions linked by Ralf above & it is working again so the culprit seems to be a recent windows update that was causing the issue for me.

ParticipantDecided to play RDR2 again after not playing for a while & this annoying left/right text problem is still there, any chance it will be getting fixed any time soon? as i said before it’s not a major problem as i can do a sort of workaround by moving the hud but then it means having to go into edge peek mode to see button prompts & mini map which is not ideal.
Even with this annoyance RDR2 is still the best experience one can have in VR imo thanks to VorpX.

Participant@Tripleflat Sorry i don’t have any answers to your questions, i was just wondering seeing as you are using 24.1.0 do you have headtracking working? if so was it working since you have been using 24.1.0 or did you have to change any settings to get it to work?
Zel1984
ParticipantAnybody know of a way to get headtracking to work for Starfield? I’m using 24.1.0 and it all seems good but the headtracking will not work for me at all.
Zel1984
ParticipantTrying Starfield with 24.1.0 everything seems good except i can’t get headtracking to work at all, anybody know of a way i can get it to work?

ParticipantIt’s not just cut scenes for me, it is on the sceen all the time during play in the top left corner, i have moved it mostly out of sight by using the VorpX HUD scaling option but doing so means that when i want to look at the mini radar or prompts that pop up in the bottom right corner of the screen etc i have to go into edgepeek mode to see them.
I recently have been using the mods Bandit Hideouts & Rampage Trainer, give myself infinite dead eye, slow mo while aiming, a couple of bodyguards and then charge into bandit hideouts in slow mo gunning them all down with my posse, really fun. This game is still the best experience one can have in VR imo once you get your settings right.

ParticipantI for one did not know that it had official VR support till i saw the comment above (thanks JXJS) although it is still experimental it works fantastic with my Rift S on a 6700XT, tested some free roam, scenarios & a bit of the career mode, i think this will be my main VR racing game now, crashing in slow motion in VR feels great, i also like the direction the career mode is going in, i think that will be brilliant once it’s finished.

ParticipantI’m hoping we can get one soon, been playing Starfield the last few days, really enjoying it, the cities, planets, animals, ships etc look fantastic and i can’t help imagine how great it would be to wander around these places and see it all in VR.

ParticipantOk thanks for letting me know Ralf.

ParticipantStill not found a proper solution but i have managed to move the “left/right” text mostly out of view by using the hud scaling options in the VorpX menu, if anybody has a proper fix to get rid of this annoying text please let me know.
