ParticipantSmall workaround for the map crashing that is working for me at the moment, when leaving map instead of going straight back to the game use the skip time function & skip time for an hour or two, doing that automatically goes back to game without crashing for me.

ParticipantAh, there was another update on top of the 1.5 update, i guess that messed things up.

ParticipantJust installed the updated mod for the latest version of CP2077 & now i can’t get proper VR working, it just goes into the big flat screen in front of my face, no head tracking either, pressing edgepeek button does nothing, using Oculus Rift S, anyone know how to get it working properly?

Participant@Ralf Thanks for the camera change tip, didn’t know there was a hood camera, works perfectly.
Zel1984
ParticipantNo i don’t have ray racing on, thanks for the suggestion though.
I’ll try what Ralf said & just change the camera or get on a motorbike or simply run.

ParticipantThank you for this mod, i’m having a blast, at first i was just playing it sort of like a normal FPS game but now i have the double jump & mantis blades & jumping about & slicing up some maelstrom never gets old, using some of the hacks like suicide or the grenade detonation when they are in a group is also fun, limbs flying everywhere in glorious VR.
One small problem i run into sometimes is when driving in a car it can become very bright outside to the point i can barley see anything through the windshield, other than that the mod is great.

ParticipantThe only way to get the game looking & performing well for me using my Rift S was to set a custom resolution, at first i set it to the individual eye resolution of the Rift S which was 1280×1440 but it works better by setting the resolution to 1440×1700 which is the resolution of the Vive Cosmos, i have most RDR2 settings on ultra, high or medium with only a couple of setting on low, i use the resolution scale slider & go as high as i can while still getting good performance (for me i go up to x1.5), game looks & performs great (except in Sait Denis where i just turn the resolution scale down once to x1.25).
I had to use a program called Custom Resolution Utility (which is free to download) in order to set & use that resolution.
I also use the Oculus Tray Tool with Default Super Sampling set to 1.5 & Default ASW Mode set to 45hzh forced.

ParticipantDecided to try the resolution of the Vive (1440×1700) while using the Rift S & it works much better, pretty much no noticeable side bar parts when turning my head now making the experience feel even smoother.

ParticipantRed Dead Redemption 2, not only is it my top VorpX experience it is also my top VR experience even though it is not a VR game, i have quite a few VR games that i think are brilliant but none of them come close to how amazing RDR2 is when played in VR.
Zel1984
ParticipantIf you can set the resolution to the individual eye resolution of your headset i would suggest doing that, it is the best way to play RDR2 that gives good quality visuals & good performance from my experience, i then use the resolution upscale slider & put it as high as i can without losing performance. Custom resolution i use for the Oculus Rift S is 1280×1440 or for the Vive Cosmos 1440×1700 (Rift S work better for me than the Vive).

ParticipantVideo if people want to see what it looks & plays like using Vorpx (with my system & settings obviously) : Red Dead Redemption 2 – VR
Zel1984
ParticipantI just found my problem, was nothing to do with Vorpx, turns out it was my video player that was not playing the videos properly, working now that i updated it, sorry for the confusion folks.
Zel1984
ParticipantNope, just tried it in windowed mode trying to capture the oculus mirror but still only recording the sound with no video.
Zel1984
ParticipantYeah, i use obs without problem recording games or recording oculus mirror but when using Vorpx it does not allow me to record the video, only the sound shows up when i play back the recording, i’ll try with admin rights…nope, still no picture. Thanks though.
Zel1984
ParticipantYeah, just tried that, still does not record the picture, even if it was recording a picture & not just sound it looks like that would only capture the Steam VR home room, i don’t play using Steam i use the Rockstar launcher.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
