In the very end of the game, I have encountered a pretty bad bug.
When I get to the top of the tower and setup the missile guide system, the dark ones attack me with a mind game ( i don´t know better words for it).
Normally the screen zooms out and I have to walk on some platforms. But it zoomes so much out the screen turns kind of black, it looks weird, and i can´t see anything. I can´t complete the game coz im walking blind and dying of falling of the tower. It has even destroyed my savegame, so if i load my game on my normal screen it does the same weird bug. Please help!
If you are new to vorpX, you probably want to hop right into the action instead of learning how to configure vorpX. The list below contains first person games that work with litlle to no configuration in ‘Full VR’ due to vorpX’s DirectVR functionality, which can configure important things like field of view, head tracking or resolution automatically.
For third person games that are usually played best in immersive screen or cinema mode not much configuration is required in general, so this list focuses on first person ‘Full VR’ games that can be a little harder to configure without DirectVR.
If you are stuck, make sure to check the ‘Essential Hints Guide’ and the ‘Quick Reference’ in the help. They help you understand a few basic concepts.

Update 2018/12/15
vorpX 18.3.2.2 has been released. This (hopefully) concludes the series of fixes related to issues with the most recent SteamVR version.
Changes/Fixes:
- Improvements for WMR headsets related to issues with most recent SteamVR.
- Fallout 76: FOV did not work since the game got official FOV change support.
- OpenVR updated to 1.1.3b
Update 2018/12/09
vorpX 18.3.2.1 has been released. This hotfix addresses the SteamVR head tracking swim/latency introduced with yesterday’s update. No other changes.
Update 2018/12/08
vorpX 18.3.2 has been released. This is a maintenance release mainly addressing frequent frame judder in SteamVR mode after the latest SteamVR update.
In addition to that some related changes originally intended for vorpX 19.1.0 have been backported to 18.3.2, most notably support for Motion Smoothing (SteamVR), respectively Asynchronous Space Warp (Oculus). vorpX 19.1.0 is still on track for a pre-Christmas release.
Changes/Fixes:
- SteamVR: Fix for frequent judder below 90fps with recent SteamVR versions.
- SteamVR/Oculus: Motion Smoothing/Asynchronous Space Warp support.
- SteamVR: Supersampling <1.0 is now taken into account (only important for Pimax 5k/8k).
- Oculus: Crystal Image setting takes user set super sampling into account.
- D3D11: several multithreading fixes and improvements
- The Witcher: better Geometry 3D profile, Z3D parameters tweaked
- The Witcher 2: G3D did not work anymore, Z3D parameters tweaked
- GTA V: scalable HUD added
Update 2018/11/15
vorpX 18.3.1 has been released. This is a maintenance release that mainly adds support for Fallout 76. The profile is a fully featured DirectVR profile with everything DirectVR can do in the best case including automatic resolution, FOV (two methods) and basic roomscale.
Additionally minor issues with the program itself and other profiles have been fixed.
In case anyone wonders: the Frostbite engine G3D support that sparked a bit of interest recently is still in development and will be made available with the next larger update 19.1.0 before the end of the year.
New profiles:
- Fallout 76: G3D/Z3D, full VR, DirectVR: head tracking, resolution, FOV, tweaks
Changes/Fixes
- Effects that look bad in VR (e.g. DOF blur) can also be disabled with Z3D.
- DirectVR scanner could time out with large scans in low memory situations.
- DirectVR menu page didn’t behave correctly if both memory scan FOV and .ini edit FOV are available.
- FOV scan was run despite .ini edit FOV being selected if both are available.
- Fixed an occasional G3D crash in Fallout 76 (and maybe other DX11 games).
- Arma III: DirectVR FOV was slightly too high.
- The Witcher 3: some objects were rendered at wrong depth.
- Crysis 3: reflections fixed, effect fixes.
- Fallout 4: minor gun decals and fire glitches fixed.
Update 2018/10/25
vorpX 18.3.0.1 has been released. This is a hotfix that addresses the issue below. No other changes.
- Black textures with Z3D in some D3D11 games (18.3.0 regression)
vorpX 18.3.0 released
After four maintenance releases for the 18.2 branch it’s finally time for a slightly bigger release with a bit of feature refinement and also more and enhanced game profiles. Most notable additions are: Dark Souls Remastered, Monster Hunter World, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.
Experienced users can now create much better custom profiles by defining HUD/shadow etc. shaders.

Hi guys I’m new to vorpx and as these two are my favorite games I tried to get them working right away. I searched the forums and it wasn’t good news a lot of people only got them to work with no or barely any mods and support for fully modded versions just wasn’t there
but I’m stubborn so umm yeh it actually works this is what I have/did I hope it helps anyone that wants to go back to these amazing games.
(fallout 3 with fose and fully wanderer edition mods is on bottom of post)
MORROWIND WITH WORKING DISTANT LANDS! WITH LANDMASS MODS/GAMEPLAY MODS/GRAPHIC SHADERS/REFLECTIONS WORKING)modlist
Morrowind rebirth (giant land mass/city/gameplay overhaul better then MOSG imho)
Tamriel rebuild (giant main land added right of morrowind)
Better Heads
Better Armor
Better Bodies
XE Sky Variations (from MGEXE sky and weather mod)
LGNPC (dialogue only version, large dialogue mod)
Quick char (to skip intro)
Merged Objects (merged list to make all armor/clothing mods work better)
Morrowind Graphic Extender XE
4gb patch
Morrowind Code patchThis all runs at 1600/1200 or 1440/1080 depending on your machine. FPS drop in seyda neen/balmora but are decent everywhere else
Cinema mode close up to the screen 80-90% you can use vorpx controller or just go keyboard.Key to not getting the graphic glitch that makes everything grey/white. In MGEXE make sure you turn off the extenders FPS counter. This is the reason your graphics is glitching out. You can have the ingame engines fps counter (which will be bottom right) but any other fps counter will cause vorpx to glitch out into white/grey polygons.
This is the same glitch you get after installing MOSG and I know that has an fps counter to so I’m sure that’s linked to the white/grey polygon screen glitch BUT I haven’t tested it on that cause I’m using rebirth. Rebirth changes more on the landmass then overhaul does so if rebirth is working you should be able to get overhaul working also.
Assuming you get all the latest mod versions from nexus make sure FPS counter is disabled you can just run distant lands and use ALL SHADERS/reflections etc etc it looks amazing really and hooks without issues. Use MLOX for mod load order amd testool to merge lists if needed depending on your preferred mods.
On MGEXEgui you can easily reproduce the graphic glitch by ticking/unticking the fps counter on the first tab.
FALLOUT 3 with FOSE working WANDERER EDITION
so I spend a ton of time getting all recommended mods to play on wanderer edition.MODS
Fallout 3 Wanderer Edition
Marts mutants
weapon mod kit
project beauty (fallout redesigned)
EVE
texture packs
DarnUI interface
blackened compatibility patch
FOIP for weapon mod kit
Expanded Unofficial patch
4gb patch
LOOT (mod load order)
FO3Edit for making merged patchtheres an extensive guide on wanderer and steam how to do a perfect new installation (theres to much steps) so you can just follow that. Make sure your using Fallout mod manager.
Then after doing all that and making your merged lists and what not it plays but it wont hook unless you don’t use fose. Problem is your mods wont work without fose right?
So make sure the game runs, try it out without vorpx.
You can play with controller but youll miss a lot of keybinds for all the new gameplay additions so id go with keyboard mouse on this one.
Once your game is running perfectly its time to get your VR on.
go into your steam folder and rename your falloutlauncher to something else, like falloutlauncherbackup. Now rename your foselauncher to falloutlauncher.
Now you can just launch the game from steam and it will use fose to launch BUT NOW IT HOOKS!!!!!
if you need to change resolution or graphic settings you can do this in your fallout mod manager. I’m running at 1600/1200 with AA and every setting maxed, lower if needed.
For me I prefer cinema mode over direct VR even tho direct vr works normal framerate seems fine but when you turn your head it stutters at times for me so I prefer just go cinema, its better for pipboy/interface/dialogue imho anyways.
Theres 2 things for preference.
There is no FOV slider in game but if you go to your documents/my games/fallout3 folder you can tweak the fallout.ini, under [display] find
fPipboy1stPersonFOV=70.0
fDefault1stPersonFOV=85.0000this lets you tweak first person FOV but also how close your PIP boy is to your face when you pull it up. This setting worked best for me but its all personal preference play around with it.
On the pipboy the bottom 3 buttons click seem a bit off the mouse but clicking on the actual options in the pipboy seem fine.
then I upped the FOVassist in vorpx by 0.5 (again personal preference) somehow felt the depth feel more right in megaton etc.
Hope this helps anyone out there wanting to play these classics but maybe didn’t cause they couldn’t get it to work with mods!
These 2 are definetly in my top 5 games of all times and I absolutely love replaying them in VR.@ralph
pls can u explain why the main monitor is just a black screen showing the vorpx logo on the bottom. This is when i play skyrim on vorpx.
(setting windowed mode in launcher 1020X740) ingame setting 2xxx X 3xxx 4k skyrimprefs.iniWhen i play fallout4 the main monitor shows the game with the vorpx logo on the bottom. (setting windowed mode in launcher 1020X740) ingame setting 2XXX 3XXX 4K falloutprefs.ini
