just started playing with the beta after using the regular since october. Is there a way to get rid of the “start room” that is new? Or, have something on the left controller to dismiss it. Why? The way my setup is (star citizen) there is already too much crap on my desk with HOSAS and I only need the left hand controller to run SteamLink (new to Oculus). Having to have the RH controller to dismiss it and nothing else is less than ideal.
No way currently to get rid of it, Ralf promised to remove it after first launch in next version. Only thing now is first time you launch it asks you to go through whole thing with arrows forst before you can press a/e but after that you can just press a/e straight away on a controller or keyboard, but screen will always pop up on each launch for now
Had some issues the last several days after a reinstall. So then followed every suggestion I could find. Made sure have the latest version, updated the CET. Controls working again including EDGEPEEK so full VR. Playing on Ultra on Oculus with airlink cable. WOW! Better than last time played. Just have the black bars at bottom of screen that I can’t get rid of. Any fix anyone can share that might have missed?
G2 user here, currently I only see two options if I wanted to upgrade, Crystal and Bigscreen Beyond. For seated usage Crystal might be better but the weight thing still makes me wonder, its allmost double of Reverb and I don´t consider this to be the most comfortable thing either. Well to be fair I added 200g counterweight to the back of G2 to make it better balanced so it is maybe 750g now. I also like playing standing with controllers and that 1kg weight of crystal really puts me off, that is why I probably would pick bigscreen beyond. I think Aero is bit outdated and varjo will maybe launch a successor to that in 2024
Crystal would be much more attracting option if they release a version with out all the standalone nonsense, it would make it lighter and cheaper.
I still can´t use the full potential of G2 anyway because of GPU limitations so Im sticking with it for some time.
As you are fixing the cars, please check also the mission “Identity crisis”, where player is going into car’s trunk. The cutscene works fine, but when you need to control the car, the camera is… inside trunk :) This behavior was present before 2.1 update.
Thanks for your work, Ralf!
Hi, being a owner of a G2 myself (with a 4090), there is no remplacement for a G2 unless you upgrade for a more expensive headset.
The strongest point of the G2 was a high quality display for it’s time for a middle range price.
I paid mine with controllers about 600 and something euro.
If you are thinking about a Varjo Aero, may be you can also check on the Pimax Crystal (2880*2880 per eye).
I wanted to upgrade for a Pimax Crystal for a wider field of vue and a better screen than my G2, but i postoned my choice as the Crystal need an external batterie even when you use it as a non mobile headset.
They said you have about 4 to 6 hours per batterie and they pack 2 of them for the crystal.
Personnaly, i think it’s a engineering misconception; as i used my G2 very extensively the first 2 years, i’m pretty sure i would burn the batterie fast in 2 or 3 years…. while my G2 don’t have this problem at all.
Anyway, Pimax is also working on a 12k headset, but it’s on the same frame work as the Crystal, so they don’t plan to change the need of batteries when playing connected to the PC.

I’m with you OP. I’m disappointed by this product too and feel like many of the youtubers who bragged about how amazing it is were extremely misleading in what it can do and how well it can do it. The software is buggy and not at all flexible enough. I thought I would have a lot more grainular control over stuff but constantly find myself restricted by the limited setting options available. Some settings appear to do absolutely nothing, and others are just duplications of others. The whole thing feels half baked to me and its been under development for almost a decade.
Worse is the lack of support. There is no wiki that I can find. There is no deep walkthroughs of how to use it either. Maybe there is but I can’t find it because it lacks any sort of modern means of communication. Everything is trapped in these ancient hard to navigate forums and there appears to be no interest in taking this content and building a community in a modern place like Reddit or a Discord server.
Maybe this software was great 3-5 years ago but I don’t think its worth the price now. I’ve been sitting with the sour taste for a few weeks now as I’ve spent way more time just trying to get it to work right than actually using it.
I am playing and streaming Star Citizen in VR, has been working well.
My question is with all the warning windows that pop up the press E button, then press Ctrl Alt Shift to make all the warnings go away.
Is there a way to basically be like, “I know it is, stop showing it every time” like a 15 day cool down or something?
VorpX has been running awesome, but Star Citizen sometimes needs to be restarted, and game capture shows those warnings plastered front and center as the game starts up, locks out of any control, because if I have the headset on I cant see one warning, if I dont have the headset, nothing works because the other is locking it out, and people keep asking if VorpX is worth getting if they keep showing the warnings all the time that I cant see.
Hi,
I’m trying get Cyberpunk running on latest beta, but this pop-up window is asking to update components (recommended) or continue. I cannot move mouse cursor with both mouse and controllers, so I cannot click this menu item. Also, I can move selection with cursor keys, but cannot confirm with enter or space.
How can I select required menu item?

I’ve recently had to re-install VorpX due to some windows file issues and after the re-install, the config app just refuses to boot. If I watch it in a program like process hacker, i see that it boots for a split second before immediatly closing. I’ve looked around the forums before and saw other posts but none were helpful. I am only running Windows Defender, with VorpX being set as an exclusion, I have DotNet repaired and re-installed and it still doesn’t work. The only other idea is possibly a missing registration key, but I am lost on how to input one if i can’t open the config app.
Hello! I’m confused about what the support for BG3 is supposed to do.
My thought was that the game would load in a theater-like screen, with the illusion of depth provided by Z-buffering, but after some hours of setup and testing, all I can get is a VorpX home cinema environment with the game rendered normally.
Using Valve Index + Touch controllers.
– Gesture editor for rifle aim is not working as expected tried to assign all possible axis — not working, trigger button is possible to assign only for right click, not possible to assign to left trigger gamepad.
– left handed mode swapping controllers including start button (and this button is preserved for re-centering and activating dash). If you go to update button mapping— there no option to swap that buttons only, and remap to left controller — it gone.(not only beta problem)
– gamepad emulation is mapping to keyboard buttons, which not always matches game situation, like for Starfield, button up/down/left/right maps to 1/2/3/4 and when you are controlling ship —- it has combination of alt + arrows, so it is safer to have virtual gamepad and map binding through that, virtual controller. Also it would help with on screen hints, because they all shows keyboard keys, but overlay for touch shows xbox buttons.
You can do it via vr controllers, there are several apps like natural locomotion etc or I have cybershoes for example and what those do is they translate their motion type into vr controller thumbstick input, which vorpx then picks up and translates into game input.
Natural locomotion works the easiest, by default its armswinger, but can even use phones on legs or put controllers on legs and use gamepad for other input.
Point is it works. Mirrors edge one is quite fun with NaLo and armswinger in vorpx
Hi everyone, yesterday I received the quest 3 headset, one of the main reasons why I got it is to play cyberpunk with the vorpx mod. Unfortunately after several attempts I can’t get it to work. Can you help me? I tried to run it with Airlink and Virtual Desktop, the mod is loaded in fact I see the guide for the motion controllers but when I do ‘continue’ everything remains flat similar to the steam theater.
In Configure CyberpunkVR I put OpenXR since I have quest 3. Am I doing something wrong? Please kindly ask for your help. I’m not an expert with mods.
The version of cyberpunk is 2.0
Thank you
