What if my monitor goes dark or says Out of Range? Assuming the resolution would still work in my headset, is there a way to force my pc to accept the resolution?

NEVER MOND. I WAS APPLYING AMD SETTINGS WITH A NVIDIA CARD.

Ori and the Blind Forest local profile is a good one to start with. The main problem is all the unity engine 5 profiles I have tried have dark pixel texture artifacts. I am currently trying to fix the pixel artifacts but have limited skill and knowledge with G3D Shader Authoring tool.

So many small questions that I am to dumb to figure out alone. I’ve been and will continue trying to google, and read through these forum topics. But the main difficulty is that many of the other help with type stuff deals with steps farther than where I am. Even the video on the page starts out with hey look this is the open gesture menu!

So firstly I would like confirmation on what all I actually need.

Do I need only the purchased Vorpx?
Do I need the beta Vorpx (even though the edition is now older?
Do I need the Cyberpunk Mod to use gestures with other games?
-Follow up Do I need to own Cyberpunk in order to run Gestures at all?

Do I need to own Virtual Desktop?
Do I need to use a cable, or can Airlink Suffice?
Do I need to run the general option in Vorpx as Quest2 or Do I use SteamVR
–Some Videos of watched seemed to imply Setting to steam vr even if using quest 2 was important

    Installation
If I need the beta, Do I install the better over the Regular Vorpx?
Do I install beta then overlay Vorpx?
Do I only have the Beta installed?
Continue logic for if I need Cyberpunk Mod.

    Actually Running
The videos seem to imply using steam VR. However I haven’t gotten any version of Vorpx to work like that so far. As I’ve been making semi random shot in the dark attempts to get this going with some combinations of the above questions implemented.
The only way I’ve currently gotten anything to work with Vorpx So far is by Opening meta, Airlinking in headset, then Opening Vorpx; then said game. Currently testing Battlefront2 2017edition.
But obviously I have no Gestures in the options menu.
And going through Steam Vr first I haven’t gotten Anything to actually hook correctly.

Also with some setups using the Beta mainly, I would have an issue where I could open the Vorpx Configure Menu, and after clicking apply and close, the icon would be visible in the system tray area. BUT then it would simply disappear when hovered over. Seemingly implying it didn’t actually start running.

Good morning! I bought this a couple of weeks ago in hopes it could replace tridef. The desktop vr viewer is good, but it doesnt do any kind of depth generation, ive even tried something like desktopsbs to mirror my desktop and interpolate to watch youtube with some kind of depth, but it doesnt do it right and im just sitting there crossing my eyes lol. Are there any solutions to this maybe im unaware of? Or is there any chance some kind of feature like this can be added eventually? I have no clue what dark magic DDD used in tridefs media player but it would actually be game changing to view 2d content in 3d in the same manor!

    Hey everyone,

So an Elden Ring First Person mod got posted on Nexusmods.

The mod author put -alot- of thought into this one. There is no lock on, but there is some light autoaim. There are crosshairs for casters, and, well, just in your face melee combat for warriors.

The mod is easy to install.

I need to call out the elephant on the Room; why not use LukeRoss’ mod? Because – LukeRoss’ mod is barely playable. I tried it multiple times and its just an awful experience. In that mod, character orientation is not taken into account, so while youre trying to “side step” and then swing, your character is still facing in the wrong direction when you “Attack”

This new mod, it basically gives Elden Ring FPS controls. Side strafing works as intended, aiming spells and projectiles does. Due to the lack of Information “on screen” for being first person; the modder even put in a “threat indicator” where in your crosshairs, there will be a Circle that will point towards incoming attacks, so if youre getting hit from the sides, youll have that info in first person.

Overall, its the most well done First Person Mod for the Souls Series. Sekiro and Dark Souls 3 have good ones; but not nearly as well thought through as this one.

The only annoying factor is the menus react to your look direction, so when messing with menus, you may want to zoom out.

I will also add, I suggest mapping your Crouch/Sneak to your -Right Thumbstick-; you dont need Right Thumbstick anymore since there is no lock on. Now, set your Vorpx Settings for Zoom In/Zoom out to Thumbstick, so you can use the left stick to zoom out and navigate menus. If you are not seeing the Crosshairs in game, press Q on your keyboard, that should fix it.

If there are any Sekiro fans around here, theres also a mod to give you Sekiro Deflect posture damage on enemies and basically play the game like Sekiro. First Person Mod is the first link, Sekiro Style Deflect is the Second Link and Sekiro “Posture Bars” are the third link.

If you have any questions, let me know.

    https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/3405

For the Posture Bar Mod, you need to fix one thing

When you install it, you need to go into the game’s PostureBarModConfig.ini file and change this line to this:

    HideBarsOnMenu = true

    change to

    HideBarsOnMenu = false

Overall Modding Guidance for Steam Games in General:

Now, in conclusion – IF YOU DO THIS AND ENJOY IT – BACKUP THE ENTIRE GAME ON YOUR HARD DRIVE. Mods for Souls games break with every game update.

Go to your Steam Folder, Copy your -entire- Elden Ring folder and paste it somewhere safe in your hard drives. When the game gets an update, you can usually counteract it by letting it update, then when you want to return to the game with these mods, youll delete everything in the Elden Ring SteamApps folder, then Paste your old game. Have Steam set to “Offline mode”; so it wont see the changes made, then boot up.

Saved games will get broken with updates too. I recommend, if you mod anything, to always put it in “Only Update This Game When I Launch It”. You can easily do this by Right Clicking a game in Steam – Properties – Updates – Drop Box Select “Only Update This Game When I Launch It”. Done, game wont update automatically.

So, if you log into Steam one day and see “Update Queued” for a game youve modded; -STOP-, do not launch it. Put Steam into OFFLINE Mode. Now go to this site, they have a profile for every game, but we are just using Elden Ring’s as an example; https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Elden_Ring

There you can find where your saved files are, where configuration files are. Go in and back up your saves locally, somewhere else on your hard drive, along with your configuration files.

If the game updates and breaks your mods; just put it back into Offline Mode, delete the game from the SteamApp folder, then use your old copy from before the patch, paste that into the SteamApp folder, then stay in offline mode to continue using the mods you want.

Basically, if you mod any game, this is a process you want to be doing. Always keep a spare of the game’s folders put away in your hard drive, so if updates break mods, you just roll back like that and move forward, just keeping Steam set to offline mode to not attempt to update again.

Dont delete the game from Steam, Steam is the DRM, you need Steam to have the game “installed” for it to launch. You just go in and replace folders manually.

If you have any questions on the mods, Ill try to help.

A new profile with decent 3D is in the cloud section of the vorpx config app !

Prefer 16:10 Borderless Window – HUD 60% – FOV MAX – Graphics Low-Medium – Textures + Antialiasing Epic – Raytracing off – Motion Blur off – Vsync off

    Optional:
    FOV_Mod:”github.com/Lyall/JediSurvivorFix”
    DLSS_Mod: “PureDark”

    Hey Ralf…
Probably just a lack of understanding the ins & outs of a BETA for a lot of us.
I know I had some issues with the previous BETA. I mentioned here having my mouse get stuck, and having to reboot the PC sometimes etc. But then my brain defaulted to ‘I’ll wait for the next BETA. It’ll probably be sorted by then!’
I never thought to send log files. I thought you’d magically know what was going on out there in the ether.
I know that sounds silly… but it’s true.
And this last BETA… everything has worked great for me! So my latest log file would read ‘played Jedi Fallen Order for hours on desktop viewer & everything worked perfectly’. ;)
Is there perhaps a way you can have log files auto-generate and send to you when we’re using a BETA?
It could be a part of the deal. ie. We’d have to agree to that to test the BETA.
    I’m just spit balling here.
I know I’d be happy to contribute to make your job easier. I think if you tell us specifically what you need from us, I imagine most people would feel the same.
Perhaps lay out some instructions as to the best way to go about it all.
I don’t even know where the logfiles are. Are they generated whenever Vorpx runs? Only on crashes etc? Do we email them to you at support, or post them here? How big or small an issue is worth sending a log file? (eg. sometimes vorpx wouldn’t do what I expected the first time. But the next time it did). All that kinda stuff.
I came on here and asked some questions on here a few times and you would be quick with answers. Is it better to send log files than bring up issues in this thread? These are all things I know I’m not quite sure of. So others might be in the dark about them too.

Holy ****! I haven’t played that game in ages, it was one of my favourite titles for years. No prizes for guessing what my evening is going to entail.

I had a Pico 4 beside my G2, but sent P4 back the next day. It had bad distortions in the middle of the lenses (faulty production run), very noticeable screendoor effect, really bad lens glare and the screens looked dark with completely crushed blacks and choked whites. I doubt that i had multiple defects at the same time, the product was unopened. Very bad experience.

The G2 tracking seems OK from the reviews. Haven’t used the HMD for anything else than vorpX yet, and i’m playing sitting with a gamepad. Though i have to say that if you are letting your arms hang by the sides while you play without moving them for a longer time, the cameras can’t see the controllers and lose the tracking. Worse, when the tracking is lost, the controllers don’t react to button presses anymore. Could be a vorpX thing, didn’t notice anything like this in my short SkyrimVR test.

Look up the list of FullVR games. It should be around the forum somewhere and it’s also available within Vorpx.

My favs are probably Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite and Dark Messiah. Dishonored has some problems though unfortunately.

In the Cyberpunk menu not the VorpX menu, Under video. Are you getting Cyberpunk to look okay? Mine looks like crap and is unplayable. If I move my head the whole screen bugs out, the 3D environment looks zoomed in and really low res…worse than Doom 3, the game constantly freezes after about 15 min.

There’s this standalone version for Cyberpunk, but there is no standard setting or instruction. So Everyone starts off shooting in the dark trying to fix it. I mean, make a TXT file at least going over basics. It’s one game, with one mod “just for it”, and there is no general setting. But hey, it’s free so that could explain a lot.

I am now going to try to play, I will update you, if it does not work well there is no reason for me to buy the product, and I really want to buy the product, question if there is a problem is it like this in all games?

Somehow I find a dark room less immersion breaking than a black or changing background.

IMO, best for immersion is ambient background, because the edges of the screen start to blur in your peripheral vision and you almost stop noticing them.
