I have exactly the same problem with Horizon Zero Dawn Forbbiden West with Death Stranding profile. Z-normal was working perfectly before the recent updates.

I think an RTX 4060 isn’t a very good graphic card to use PC VR with a Quest 3.

Especially if you use a laptop version, which usually are a lot less powerful.

You may not be able to apply my advices. Try lower values (of SS, Bitrate and resolution) first…

You can check Quest 3 image quality with another PC VR program (like SteamVR’s DeoVR with a detailed 4k regular photo/vidéo, not 180/360°, for example ? Or photogrammetry in SteamVR’s Home)

You could also use a more optimized VR headset. But it’s still a laptop with an RTX4060… I had good results with VorpX, a desktop with GTX1080 and a Reverb G2. I was able to play games like Death Stranding, Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock 1, Elden Ring, Guadians of the Galaxy, etc.

The Enhanced version is probably dx12, in which case you would need a dx12 profile to hook. Standard Metro Exodus is dx11.

Try using a copy of dx12 profiles like Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding, RDR2, CyberPunk. Any of these should hook, it’s just a matter of which one finds the correct depth buffer for 3D.

Note that dx12 supports Z3D only, so if you intend to play G3D you should stick to the Standard dx11 version.

Bioshock Infinite (especially Burial at Sea Episode 2) and Bioshock 1 original (I guess Bioshock 2 original is even better) if you have an old graphic card.

Metro 2033/Last Light, etc. are awesome (Metro Exodus is the most beautiful game you could do I think). But a good graphic card is needed.

All Bioshock and Metro have G3D (even if raytracing without G3D can be a good option too in Metro Exodus).

Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t the best because even with an RTX4090, it’s not enough.

Elden Ring, Death Stranding, Guardian of the galaxy are really better in VorpX (even if it’s not full VR).
Redfall too. Deathloop is Ok (especially the end).

I guess games like Farcry Primal, Dishonored, Prey 2017, etc. must be really good (I think they have G3D but I didn’t try them yet).

    Dying Light 1 of course.

First person game that allow you to have high 4:3 resolution (3480×2880 or at least 2880×2160) and 120 FOV are like native games in VorpX (with G3D, or at least Z3D but It’s not so important to me and even without 3D at all, some games are awesome in full VR).

Any game with good looking graphics, heights/vertigo or giant environment/ennemies are usually great in VorpX.

Ralph said me metro works fine in G3D with base version without DX12. I’ll try later. If you have Enhanced edition, you can duplicate the Exe, rename it (for exemple Metro DX12) and play the game without profile.
The profile “Enhanced Edition” launch the game, but with no 3D for me :(
Some people say it worked for them.

It’s still very impressive in full VR without 3D with very high resolution (4.5k), raytracing and no DLSS (75-80 FPS at the Volga with RTX 4090). You HAVE TO RAISE FOV by editing ini files and I’m not sure 4:3 is available for this game (it didn’t work for me but given there is no real HUD it doesn’t matter a lot, except for performance).

Edit about Quest 3 : I managed to launch VorpX (Death Stranding and Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition). I had to use both Wifi and Airlink (and I don’t want to). I’ll retry with the cable. Maybe I should buy a non official cable. I suppose a good cable is really needed to get a beautiful image. I read G2 is still better than Quest 3 anyway.

You can test some profiles with the vorpx beta on your own, because most of the dx12 games working with one of the list. Try first of all Resident Evil Village, Grounded, Death Stranding, The last of us, Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption.

It is very simple, check the local profiles for all DX12 Games, and if no profile can be forked and give you 3D vorpx is not compatible with that game.

You will get used to it to do things on your own, if you want to use vorpx.

If no user profile is working well, there will be released a official profile by Ralf of vorpx. But you will have to wait weeks, if no user profile works.

While I haven’t tried a FIFA game with vorpX for a while, I’d imagine that they might have switched from DX11 to DX12 with FIFA23. Just a guess though. You could try any DX12 profile to check whether at least that way you can get the game showing in the headset.

Profiles you can try for example are: Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, The Last of Us. No 3D-guarantee of course when trying these, but if hooking in general works, you at least know what the culprit was.

Incidentally I have FIFA23 in my Steam library. Don’t have it installed currently, but I’ll look into it.

Death Stranding profile hooks and works, there just isn’t any Z3D.

Perhaps the there is a launch Parameter option for DX11, that would be bombastic! Imagine we will have Starfield in G3D ? With a dx11 option we can try to fix the old profiles of Fallout and Skyrim, until Ralf releases a official vorpx profile. For dx12 only i will try profiles of Resident Evil Village first, followed by Death Stranding, Cyberpunk 2077, and RDR2.

Resident Evil 4 remake and Death stranding have official profiles and either one are working for me.
I’ve been reading the forums in Vorpx and they work fine for everyone else apparently iN DX12 .
apparently theres some instruction that people are using and im out of the loop..can someone please assist me on what steps to perform..i purchased Resident evil 4 remake on steam and death stranding on epic games.. Once again i am using VorpX official profiles (for DX12) but will not hook to the assigned games ( resident evil 4 or death stranding)
