Topic: Soldier of Fortune 2 (G3D)
in forum User Profiles
nm723548ParticipantThe working G3D profile has been uploaded to the cloud.
Soldier of Fortune 2 feels like playing Call of Duty I with an extra gore mod. It features an intense airport mission with hostages and terrorists, including one section inside the airplane, as well as the long and highly excellent Kamchatka mission.
With peaceful intermissions at the secret agent agency, it also has a No One Lives Forever–like feeling. Occasionally, the rainy weather adds a great atmosphere—especially in G3D VR.
So soldiers, to arms!
Steps to make everything work
To remove the parental lock and unlock gore, create a shortcut for the game executable and append:
+set lock_blood 0
In the sof2sp.cfg file (located in the base folder), modify or add:
seta cg_fov “120”
seta r_mode “-1”
seta r_customwidth “3840”
seta r_customheight “2880”For this resolution to appear in-game, you must first select it in your display settings after launching VorpX Virtual Desktop.
To enable it:
Create a custom resolution in VorpX Virtual Monitor
Launch VorpX Virtual Desktop
Right-click your desktop → open Display Settings
Select the desired resolutionOptionally, you can enable Virtual Super Resolution in AMD Adrenalin or NVIDIA Control Panel. This removes the need to launch VorpX Virtual Desktop beforehand.
Before launching the game, you may need to set:
Display scaling to 100%
Resolution to 3840×2880 in VorpX Virtual DesktopRule of thumb: Always set scaling to 100% and the desired resolution in desktop settings after launching VorpX Virtual Desktop and before starting the game or add-on.
Optional
If you liked the game, you can try Call of Duty: United Fronts mod, which has a similar feel and aesthetics (minus the gore without CoD gore mod) and includes many great fan-made missions accessible from a menu.

BoblekoboldParticipantWhen you download a profile in the Cloud Profiles section, there are instructions next to it (you can also see them by clicking “Edit Profile Properties” even in the Local Profiles section)
Concerning this game, it should tell you how to change the FOV with the console for example.Anyway, you can usually find this information here for most games :
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Kingdom_Come:_Deliverance_II#Field_of_view_.28FOV.29Or on Reddit / Steam forums.

Concerning KCD2 :
But as I said, read the comments below this first video because it’s not optimal.
Update by the same person :
Another topic :
https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/kingdom-come-deliverance-2-2/
So you should use the Auryza profile (or maybe Starfield) and not the KCD1 profile. You may have to rename the executable in order to make sure VorpX hook with this profile, instead of using first game profile (because apparently they have the same .exe name so VorpX thinks KCD2 is KCD1)Sep 12, 2025 at 12:26pm #222121In reply to: vorpX 25.1.5 Available Now
333hronosParticipantHi,
After updating to VorpX v25.1.2 I encountered a strange image issue in Outlast when using VDXR.The image is split into three parts:
– one stretched section in the center,
– and two additional stretched halves on the left and right.Screenshot (only 2 of 3 parts are visible in the capture):

I already tried a full factory reset and a complete reinstall of VorpX, but the problem persists.
With VorpX v24 everything worked fine just yesterday, the issue appeared only after updating to v25.

RalfKeymasterHuh? The max height of the image vorpX sends to the headset is twice the game resolution’s height, more would be a fairly stupid waste of GPU memory. You (obviously) have to raise the resolution in the game options if you want a sharper image in your headset.
If you e.g. run a game at 1080p, vorpX caps the iamge sent to the headset at 2160p, which is already more than what makes sense given the 1080p input regardless of your headset’s screen res. The important resolution image quality wise for vorpX is the game resolution. When you raise it in the game options, vorpX will automatically raise the final res sent to the headset accordingly.
TLDR:
Raise the game resolution to get a sharper image. If you are limited by your monitor in that respect, check the ‘Custom Resolutions’ section in the vorpX help or alternatively use the vorpX virtual monitor in 24.1.0.

SpinelliParticipantSorry for the spam detection troubles you encountered. The alternative to having spam detection on in the forum software would be a 3:1 spam:content ratio unfortunately, extra bad since the beautiful invention of drivel bots like ChatGPT etc.
Your actual issue:
Maybe some weird issue related to Pimax’s software that puts itself in between vorpX and the headset. Reversed eyes are conceptually impossible with vorpX’s G3D method (at least unless the profile author intentionally inverted them, which obviously isn’t the case here).
Possibly related to the time vorpX hooks into the game (before or after Pimax initializes its stuff). Enabling alternative hooking in the config app may be worth a shot. That aside maybe check whether there is some stuff in the Pimax software you can turn off. Haven’t checked a Pimax headset in a long time, but a few years back they had some custom reprojection that could change the IPD and make things appear cross-eyed occasionally.
vorpX does not change the power plan. Some VR runtimes do howewer. At least the Meta (Oculus) runtime does. Not sure about Pimax.
OK, update.

Starting Game Consistently
It looks like I have VorpX, rFactor, and SteamVR consistenly playing good with eachother. I just try to start them in the following order: PiTool, VorpX, SteamVR, and reversed order for closing, and also I make sure to always close SteamVR (not Steam as a whole) once I’m out of any game along with starting the games from PiTool (which automatically opens SteamVR). Some of those steps may not be neccessary but the formula seems to work every time. I also make sure not to alt-tab out of the game. This caused issues last time with the SteamVR grid-environment being superimposed in the rFactor game and led to other issues too (had to end up closing game from task manager and then restarting all VR-related programs/services).
-
Parallel Projections
I forgot that Pimax’s Parallel Projections is a requirement for VorpX. It says right in the VorpX Pimax guide (which I’ve read multiple times). 3D is fine now
-
Remaining Issues
1. I still can’t get the head-movement to work without the entire game’s screen being locked to my head (unless I run in 1 of the interactive movie screen modes or whatever which). If I enable head-tracking, the entire screen is still locked to my head but, mixed with that, there’s a teeny, tiny but of proper head movement relative to the locked screen but it’s like 3% of the entire head movement compared to the locked-screen’s head movement.
If I enable the game’s mouse free-look setting, the camera / driver’s head suddenly looks upwards while spinning and falling to the ground.
If the game supports TrackIR / head-tracking (like rFactor and all games based on it’s engine), do we just rely on VorpX’s head-tracking being enabled? Or is the game’s mouse free-look setting supposed to be activated instead (via a game’s hotkey)? Or are they supposed to simultaneously be enabled/activated?
2. The 3D is basically perfect – the ISImotor (commonly referred to as the ISI GMotor) engine that rFactor runs on has always been one of the best native Nvidia 3D Vision games anyways so I’m not surprised – however there’s one issue. Lots of the vehicles’ in-car dash’s gauges (or on the car’s dash, steering wheel, etc.) are almost impossible to look at as they’re being rendered in only 1 eye but not the other (or sometimes only partially in the other eye). It’s extremely disorientating and headache inducing even if you don’t look at it.
This issue used to only occur with games running on the ISImotor engine if the particular game didn’t have a 3D Vision profile assigned to it. The fix is incredibly easy. With Nvidia Inspector in the Stereo section, make sure “StereoProfile” is set to “Yes” and “Stereo TextureEnable” is set to “0x00000001 COMMON_STEREO_TEXTURE_ENABLED”. After that, all the games’ cars’ dashes, gauges, display screens, etc. were fixed and PERFECT.
The problem is, there’s no more “StereoProfile” setting in Nvidia Inspector, and the “Stereo TextureEnable” setting only has literally one option to choose from: “0x00000001” (no writing after it). I know Nvidia removed 3D support from their drivers but I thought simply enabling these “bits” in Nvidia Inspector would still be available.

in forum User Profiles
RalphParticipantTo play Assassin’s Creed Mirage with Vorpx, please follow these steps:
1. Install the Vorpx Beta and the Vorpx (DX10,11,12) hook helper if prompted. Before installing the Vorpx hook helper, make sure to rename any existing “dxgi.dll” file in the Game Folder of Assassin’s Creed Mirage to “d3d12.dll.”
Import my user profile Assassin’s Creed Mirage (VR-Punk) in the cloud section of the vorpx-config-tool to your local profiles section in vorpx.
Make sure, that all “game”.exe files of Assassin’s Creed Mirage are associated with my profile in the local profile section.
2. Resolution
In most cases, your GPU driver will automatically suggest a suitable resolution for Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
For the best gaming experience, I recommend the following resolution settings:
Aspect Ratio: 16:10
Resolution: 3456×2160Optionally, you can use Vorpx’s virtual monitor:
1. Right-click on the Vorpx-config-tool icon in the tray and open configure
2. Navigate to the ‘Virtual Monitor’ in the Vorpx Beta GUI.
3. Create a custom resolution, such as 3456×2160 or 3840×2400.
4. Minimize it to the tray again.
5. Right-click on the Vorpx-config-tool icon in the tray.
6. In the menu that appears, select the option to enable the virtual monitor manually. Now, open the Windows System settings and go to the display and resolution settings:
You will see a list of two or more monitors. Look for the Vorpx virtual monitor; it should offer the 16:10 resolution you created, such as 3840×2400, select the Vorpx virtual monitor and change the resolution to your custom 16:10 setting.
3. Game settings
You can find your game settings in the following location:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Assassin’s Creed Mirage\ACMirage.ini
After making changes, ensure the file remains write-protected; this is necessary for proper functioning (!)
In the INI file, you can adjust various settings, including language, graphics, input, and more to suit your preferences. Feel free to customize your game settings as needed
Motion Blur, Depth of Field and Film Grain have to be deactivated. I recommend to use DLSS in combination with Adaptive Quality to 60 FPS.
One of the most interesting settings is:
FOVScale=2.13000
This Super Third-Person FOV allows you to zoom very high in the Cinema Screen in your Headset while maintaining a reasonable distance from your player character
My game settings are looking like this, but feel free to customize it for your needs, Assassin’s Creed Mirage allows many different settings and still works well in vorpx.

P10:Sep 6, 2023 at 6:12pm #217513In reply to: Starfield Alpha v0.2
dellrifter22ParticipantJust in case: remember to not include the ()’s in the FOV settings. They should look like this:
[Camera]
fFPWorldFOV=130
fTPWorldFOV=130And notice there are 2 separate ini files. StarfieldPrefs.ini and StarfieldCustom.ini. The Custom one needs to be created from scratch into the same folder as the Prefs one. Each needs it’s own [Dispaly] section and lines as listed in Daves post.
Thanks Dave for figuring things out. I’m not sure you really need the hex edit though. I used it initially, but changed back to my original backup and it seems to behave the same. I think the
fWideAspectLimit=1.0 does the trick on it’s own – no black bars. I set mine to 1.33 though to use a 4:3 res (3200×2400)The vanilla FSR2 works fine with my Z3D, though certain scale factors can mess it up. Like the slider default 67% works fine at 3200×2400, but garbled at 2880×2160, which I set to 80% to fix. I’m using the Grounded profile as a base. Resident Evil Village works also, but I found the depth weighting a bit too strong at minimum. It would still be great to get a real one from Ralf with Starfield specific values though.
Anyhow, fun so far. Tonight was mainly testing, but tomorrow will start the journey.
Jul 19, 2023 at 9:11pm #216799In reply to: G3D/DirectVR: Judder and Stutter most games
virtuayayParticipanthi and thanks for the response
with all respect what surprises me is that with vorpx being in development for more than a decade that the help section seems very generalized and abstract. there are user-maintained wikis and reddits for all kind of programs and games and tech that are more specific and technical. i have followed 3dvision-fix development and for example in that field you can read about specific shader problems and settings only accessible through nvidia profile inspector or the windows registry, meanwhile for vorpx if i go into the Z3D/G3D editor modes there is nothing but trial and error to guide me.
in your development of vorpx have you ever encountered ghosting and stuttering unrelated to PC specs or running services/programs? was this like unheard of until i had this problem? what is surprising is that there isn’t already specific help for the exact problems i’ve had.
unfortunately it sounds like somehow this thread got onto the track of looking at this as a problem with my pc’s rendering performance, i don’t know how when i’ve been so careful to mention repeatedly that the issue isn’t frames per second. whatever problem is going on has more to do with how vorpx is working than how my computer is working. native openxr and steamvr games at super high settings without either stuttering or ghosting. like with my other posts in this forum i get the feeling they’re not even being read. i half expect a helpful “microsoft tech representative” to show up and tell me to run troubleshooting command.exe prompts.
i have tweaked my games and system for the best performance, and in the game with the worst stutter i’ve had so far (homefront 2011) i have also tried playing it at a super low resolution and there was no difference in the suttering problem.
my OS is win 10 64 Pro setup using NTLite to strip out all possible slowdowns and services, for an esports gaming pc. i take the same approach to things like overlays and all other programs mentioned in the troubleshooting guide. nothing has ever been installed that would cause any kind of lag or get in the way of the cpu/ram/usb. there was never a single byte of onedrive or skype on this system.
i run at 1:1 bus-to-ram speeds to eliminate all forms of stuttering. this system is tuned so tight that i don’t have all my USB devices running, don’t have unnecessary services like printers even installed, and my e-cores are disabled to achieve full ring bus speed on the remaining 8 p-cores which have had all c-states disabled except for the several required for the low-core-usage turboboost to kick in. anything i don’t use is totally disabled both in bios and on a driver level through control panel.
i don’t expect every single game i try with vorpx to work perfectly but when i have tons more problems with specific games than other users with lesser PCs report, and when i have specific problems that nobody else mentions, obviously vorpx is not working as intended on my system. and im sorry but even after your reply here (which i appreciate) i still feel entitled to more help.

legaiaflame2ParticipantThis short setup guide will get KOTOR2 running properly in VorpX so you can have the best 3D experience possible.
1. Disable movies if the game crashes. You will have to go into the .ini file to do so.
Edit the swkotor2.ini file using notepad in the game installation folder and in the [Display] section change “Disable Intro Movies” from 0 to 1.
Then: add “Disable Movies=1” at the bottom in the [Game Options] section.2. For 3D settings you can find my KOTOR2 profile in the VorpX Cloud by Legaiaflame (just search for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2). In the VorpX (Delete) settings menu I have found that Cinema Mode looks best. In more 3D options 3D FOV Enhancement will move the camera closer or farther away from you; I set it to 0.85. Head Tracking Multiplier should be set to 0.50 (found in the other VorpX menu options) and in Head Tracking Settings set the head tracking to on; that way you can look around when in first person camera mode (Capes Lock) In Image Settings set Clarity to full and Sharpen Amount to 2.00.
3. In the actual in-game settings turn off Frame Buffer Effects. This will get rid of all the horrible bloom and glare coming off of lights and certain objects. I believe this game as well as the original KOTOR is best played with a keyboard and mouse so don’t forget to map your player and minigame controls accordingly.

One thing to take note is in the World Texture mod there will be a fix for grass transparency. But in VorpX this doesn’t work unless you do what I’m about to explain:
Take the two Opengl files found in the AMD Transparency Fix folder and Copy them to your KOTOR2 directory/Installation folder where the main game .exe can be found. Just like he explains in the readme. Now:
Edit opengl32.ini with notepad and you will see this:
// Forces alpha to coverage instead of alpha test
ForceAlphaToCoverage = 1Change the 1 to a 0 like this:
// Forces alpha to coverage instead of alpha test
ForceAlphaToCoverage = 0and go to file and save before closing.
Also, Enable anti-aliasing (in-game or otherwise), this is required for the technique to work and the higher the better transparency

Also, one other MOD I would like to mention is the High Quality Skyboxes II mod. This looks pretty stunning. You can find it on the Steam KOTOR2 Workshop or here:

legaiaflame2ParticipantThis short setup guide will get KOTOR2 running properly in VorpX so you can have the best 3D experience possible.
1. Disable movies if the game crashes. You will have to go into the .ini file to do so.
Edit the swkotor2.ini file using notepad in the game installation folder and in the [Display] section change “Disable Intro Movies” from 0 to 1.
Then: add “Disable Movies=1” at the bottom in the [Game Options] section.2. in forum Technical Support
yuwon44ParticipantI have used it in the past but I have tried with several games that have profiles I see players using on Youtube and it just won’t attach. Dying Light 2,Metro Exodus, ect. Any Ideas? I can’t get the logo to appear on the screen. I have shut down everything I can think of including Windows defender, my antivirus, MSI afterburner, ect. I have run it in every sequence I can think of. Hours of trial and error. I have Win 11,RTX 3080,Ryzen 9 5900.16 ram and Quest 2. Using Air link, link cable and Virtual desktop. I have used Vorpx a few years ago and know how to use it. Just won’t work. I have tried all the tips in troubleshooting section both in and out of Vorpx site and Reddit and searching in browser. Configuring Vorpx in the settings in every combo I can think of. {Set for Steam VR,oculus, ect.} I can sometimes get the game to show up in the headset in Virtual theater mode, sometimes but sometimes just blackness. I have no trouble playing any other vr games including some using vr mods {RE7, Luke Ross, ect} Any thoughts would be much appreciated… thx
Dec 20, 2022 at 5:15pm #214238Topic: Low resolution in Witcher 3
in forum Technical Support
StekuParticipantI followed this manual to enable vVorpX for Witcher 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svAFX7KMw4w&list=WL&index=153.
I managed go into VR with my Reverb G2 (OpenXR) in the game. However the in game VR resolution is very low, no matter what resolution I set for pancake (2d) mode in game.
In vorpX menu in VR, “Direct VR Settings” “Preffered Resolution Quality” I can only set “OK-ish”, “Nice”, “Nicer” – no matter which one I set the resolution in VR is still the same. I can’t enable “Great” or higher, because I receive the message: “Seems unsupported for this game on your PC. Check the “add Custom Resultions” section in the help”.
I’m using Ultrawide 3840×1600 dispaly with RTX3070 and in my nVidia control panel I have several resoultions available: 3840×1600, 2880×1440, 2560×1600 and many more. I have the “enable resolutions not supported by the display” checked in nVidia Control Panel. My dispaaly is in 3840×1600 resolution. Not matter what resolution I set in game, full screen or windowed mode, the resolution in VR is still very low, so low I can’t read the fonts in the game HUD.
I would appreciate any advice – why vorpX is telling me: “Seems unsupported for this game on your PC” any why the chnages between “OK-ish”, “Nice”, “Nicer” have no effect on the resolution in VR. -

Topic: Soldier of Fortune 2 (G3D)
The working G3D profile has been uploaded to the cloud.

Topic: Assassin’s Creed Mirage
To play Assassin’s Creed Mirage with Vorpx, please follow these steps:
FOVScale=2.13000
