You need to do this in order to enable SLI for SSE: http://imgur.com/gallery/57xFy
Not sure if it will help much as Skyrim seems very CPU dependent. So a second GPU will not make a difference.

You change the modes like other settings in the vorpX menu. When in the game press Delete button. The modes are on the first page of the settings.
In the non-geometry modes you can make adjustments in the 3D also in the settings.

When running the game with vorpX the game will be capped at 45fps. Your headset will receive 90 fps because … magic :-) . This is what the two numbers mean. Ideally you want 45 and 90 shown when you press Alt+F.

The old SKyrim runs better in vorpX at the moment. You might need to lower your graphic settings in order to achieve a steady 45fps stream.
I’m pretty sure this is the last thing you expect to read when you have two 1080’s … :-) But it is true.

Yesterday I bought Far Cry 4 just to try what Vorpx could do in Stereoscopic 3D. Unfortunately, I cannot manage to launch the game when Vorpx is active. Game crashes immediately without even uploading the first screens.
Game launches normally if Vorpx is not active.
I have tried The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition and it launches correctly. However, I cannot find the way to activate Stereoscopic 3D in this Skyrim game. I guess I am seeing Z buffering, and I am not getting real 3D. Just a plain image wrapped around my head, without any sense of depth. That is why I wanted to try Far Cry 4 that is specifically included in the supported list.
I am using HTC Vive in a system with i7 6900k, dual Geforce GTX 1080 in SLI and 64 GB of RAM, X99 Rampage V 10 Edition motherboard, with Windows 10 Pro OS.
Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

    Hi
Once I have launched Vorpx in Windows 10 I have no way to disable. Only way is to restart Windows. However, the instructions say that I should be able to secondary click and disable Vorpx from the windows start up menu. That option is not available. I only have the option to launch the application, not to close it or disable. Could you please provide detailed guidance?
    Thanks

Great news. I have been playing VorpX skyrim since DK2 and have had one major GPU upgrade and 2 cpu upgrades. I have seen improvements each time but am always looking for better performance. Installing WIN 10 today.

For full support vorpX requires game specific profiles, which have to be done for each game individually, The latest addition is Skyrim Special Edition, which was added two weeks ago. New game profiles will of course be added in the future.

You can also make profiles with basic 3d support yourself by making copies of existing game profiles in the config app and assigning new games to these copied profiles. There is no guarantee that this will work, but it’s always worth a try especially for games that are based on the same graphics engine. Also check cloud profiles, other users might already have uploaded a basic custom profile for an unknown game.

And last but not least vorpX tries to hook into every DirectX 9-11 game, regardless of having a profile or not, so even games without a profile often can be played in unsupported (2d only) mode. Head tracking and most other VR related functions usually still are available in unsupported mode.

I have oculus 1.10 and used the new hotfix.
I must say I notice no difference or performance improvement with ASW. Everything seems exactly the same for me as before. Does anyone else notice any kind of improvement?
Do you have to enable or activate ASW or is it automatically active?
I am running Windows 7 and the oculus home page lists Windows 8 or newer as a requirement. Is it possible that ASW is not working in Windws7 or maybe the benefit is just very subtle and not easily noticeable?

I think you need Windows 8/ Windows 10 for ASW to work properly. Also, considering that development platform for VorpX is windows 10, I recommend to upgrade your Windows, or much better – Install a fresh Windows 10.

I play Skyrim and before ASW, playing in Geometry mode (full 3D) was almost impossible (GTX 1080). Now, I can actually play Skyrim SE in Geometry mode, thanks to ASW and lowering down a few settings here and there. It’s not perfect, but I don’t mind and my brain doesn’t seem to object, I don’t get nauseous at all.

I have also been having this issue. Vorpx seems to be running on it’s own but Vorpconfig just closes with that error. I do not have any virus software installed, disabled Windows Defender and reinstalled Framework 3.5. Killed any possible task in the background. Nothing seems to work.
I would really like to run SkyrimSE prelim profiles but I can’t load them without the config. Not sure what else to try. Is there another way to install the profiles without the vorpconfig? All the vorpx settings seem to work in inside a game but without the SkyrimSE profile I’m not getting any 3D support and it looks bad.

What else could I try to get the config to work? Also started as admin and that doesn’t work either. Seems so weird to me that vorpx works but the config does not.

I also sent email to vorpx support with no response. I bought it to use specifically with Fallout 4 and SkyrimSE. Fallout 4 at least had a profile installed so that’s working.

I tried Skyrim in VorpX today and I may be the only one with this problem, but how do you turn around?

I feel sick if I use my mouse AND VR headtracking so I tried to play without touching my mouse (remapped mouse clicks to left and right arrow keys), but then I find myself stretching my neck in weird positions while pressing various combinations of wasd just to get my character to turn around.

Is there a better way to do this?

update four. So yesterday a gave it another try. First i started a game ( Skyrim SE) This hooked . Then is started Witcher did not hook again. So i started Skyrim and several other games, they worked fine, too. With a game running on vorpx i changed the settings in vorpy menue. The menue im talking about is the one whre u can change for example the ASW , rendering and so on. I set all those values to off. Sved the seting with Ok&save .. Closed the game .
Started witcher and guess what it hooked. ( ASW enabled in registry).
To check i started several other games and they worked fine .
Next i started skyrim i changed the setting in vorpy menue whre the fluid thing is to on , saved it and closed the game.
    Witcher does not hook !!!!
Next i did it all over again , started skyrim , all settings of saved it and closed the game.
Then i started witcher and it hooks !!!.
So the problem seems to be vorpx and it saves. How can i save the setting from a game and load it before starting vorpx? I did not find an option in open vorpx.
    keep u updated…

Depends VERY much on your GPU and your ingame detail settings and resolution used. Try games that are few years old (and aren’t notorious resource hogs like Skyrim). The original Bischock 1+2, Half-Life 2, Portal 2 for example.

I am aware that you probably don’t want to hear that, but for more demanding games use Z3D! It can’t be said often enough how much more important a smooth frame rate is compared to perfect Stereo 3D. Your brain gets used to that quickly. There are 18 visual cues that your brain can derive depth from, only three of them depend on stereo 3d (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_perception).

I’ve used the vorpx fps-counter and every game seems to hover around 44-45 in frame rate with or without Fluid Sync enable. The problem is that I still seem to get a lot of judder on any setting I choose, especially in SKyrim. Don’t know if spacewarp is not working or what the problem is, but changing the graphical settings doesn’t seem to help.

    Hello,

Just bought yesterday vorpx, and try it on Skyrim (i have a fps problem (i have a good computer configuration) that i need to check, but can run it) and oblivion.

    On oblivion, i have 2 problems i can’t resolve :

    * My character is walking and running in slow motion. the NPC walk normally, but not my character. Don’t know what is wrong with it ?
    * Second problem i have, but more related to console accessibility, is i would like to change the FOB by using ~ as mentionned in documentation.
But the console does not open (i am on a french keyboard and to bind the key ~, i have to do altGr on number 2 following by space, don’t know if the problem comes from here ?). So i open settings with delete key (ok i open it). i have an option FOV Alt – V, but i can’t modify it : when i click in the field and input for instance fov 120, or directly 120, nothing is wrote. I try alt v, but same, no field with something i can input Inside.

    if someone can help ?

By the way if someone has good optimisations settings for oblivion !

    Thanks a lot !

Found it, and it seems to have worked. But it also seems to have lost all my settings (at least in Skyrim).
