    what screen should I be on when on my quest 3? Should I use steam vr or meta horizon link? I’ve used those before and they work with star citizen. Do I need steamvr running on the pc? Do I need meta horizon link running? I feel like there are steps that videos are not explaining properly. The video shows them just at the steam vr screen and they start the game on the pc. Then everything works. I’m just going to an infinite loading screen on the quest 3. Maybe the wait time is 30 minutes? I haven’t tried that yet…. I’ve got a 9800x3d, 5090, 48 gb ram. I don’t think it should take that long to load.

    The title says it all. I purchased the software maybe an hour ago. I have spent this entire time doing nothing but fighting with it. I only use windows defender I do not use bloatware antivirus. I turned off Windows Defender. I checked to make sure 3.5 was in my windows 11 using the windows features app. I downloaded the software a second time. I attempted to install the newer updated version. I used multiple types of unzipping software. I turned it off and back on. I changed internet networks. I am 100% at a loss. I wanted this to play star citizen however I am feeling like I just lost my 40 dollars.
    I’ve read through the last few years of answer to this issue to no avail. I am very confused at this point. Any help would be nice thank you.

    As for now I just made quick hacky workaround to bypass Easy Anti-Cheat for Star Citizen.
    It will set system environment variable EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL=1 for RSI launcher and will remove it after RSI launcher is closed.

    Paste folowing to script startlauncher.cmd in Cloud Imperium Games\RSI Launcher launcher directory then set shortcut to the script when using VorpX:

    @echo off
    ECHO Preparing Star Citizen Launcher for VorpX...
    ECHO Will run in User Elevated mode for bypassing Easy Anti-Cheat in system variables.
    ECHO You will be asked for elevated commands confirmation multiple times.
    powershell -Command "&{start-process -verb RunAs -filepath "setx" -ArgumentList '/M EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL 1'}"
    SET EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL=1
    ECHO Runing RSI Launcher...
    CMD /c .\"RSI Launcher.exe"
    SET EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL=""
    ECHO Cleaning up...
    powershell -Command "&{start-process -verb RunAs -filepath "setx" -ArgumentList '/M EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL ""';start-process -verb RunAs -filepath "REG " -ArgumentList 'delete "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" /F /V EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL}"'}"

    There used to be a settings screen that you could pull up in the VorpX menu when hitting the delete key. One of the tabs was for TrackIR and in that menu, you could disable mouse tracking.

    It seems like with the latest version of VorpX, it doesn’t detect that you have TrackIR detected to show that menu. Any ideas on what I can try? Or is there an older version of VorpX I could download?

    I’ve been working to get VorpX working with Star Citizen by following the path started by Chachi_Sanchez and his discord. However, I’ve run into a wall due to Star Citizen crashing while attempting to hook to VorpX. The error itself presents as a 0xc0000142 error, and looking it up in the Windows Event Viewer, I see the faulting application is vorpControl64.exe or vorpControl64.exe and the faulting module path is ntdll.dll in system32.

    Attempting to run Star Citizen without a hook helper allows Star Citizen to launch properly, but does not hook to VorpX and therefore doesn’t launch in VR. Running Star Citizen with a hook helper installed through VorpX, though, causes the 142 crash.

    I’ve attempted to re-register the dll, I’ve updated C++ dists, I’ve even done a Windows 11 re-install and reinstalled Star Citizen, but the error still remains.

    Does anyone have insight that might help?

    Thank you in advance for any assistance.

    I have tried several things to solve this issue.
    – WIN DEF exception for the vorpX_WebSetup.exe
    – Shut down defender firewall (temp)
    – Reinstalled dot not 3.5
    – shot down virtual desktop (steam version)
    – Made sure open track is off
    Nothing happens when I double click vorpX_beta_WebSetup.exe
    Checked WIN 11 event viewer …zip.
    Please help as I am excited to use VORPX with Star Citizen.
    This is a new install of WIN 11 on a i9 – 4090 – 64 ram machine.

    Hi – does anyone know the vorpx log location? I’m having problems with it hooking into Star Citizen but I’d like to know specifically why so I can troubleshoot myself, as it’s an unsupported game.

    I had it working last week, and for whatever reason it’s no longer hooking. Tried:

    * Alternative method
    * Helper (crashes the game)
    * Running as admin/normal
    * Unchecking block overlays
    * Checked don’t optimize game settings

    …among other things with my PC.

    I also killed off all applications running in the tray, Windows Defender as a yolo, and uninstalled applications I’ve installed over the past week, still not working. It works fine with other games.

    Just hoping I can get a more specific error message to dig into.

    You can’t use VorpX on Star Citizen for 3d as it is blacklisted by Easy Anti Cheat.
    As you can’t play the game offline, the best you’ll get is using desktop viewer and emulate mouse with built-in head tracking. This won’t give you 6dof but it’ll give you some head-tracking.

    There is a way to get around Easy anti cheat that has been oked by CIG to get Vorpex to work.

    just started playing with the beta after using the regular since october. Is there a way to get rid of the “start room” that is new? Or, have something on the left controller to dismiss it. Why? The way my setup is (star citizen) there is already too much crap on my desk with HOSAS and I only need the left hand controller to run SteamLink (new to Oculus). Having to have the RH controller to dismiss it and nothing else is less than ideal.

    No way currently to get rid of it, Ralf promised to remove it after first launch in next version. Only thing now is first time you launch it asks you to go through whole thing with arrows forst before you can press a/e but after that you can just press a/e straight away on a controller or keyboard, but screen will always pop up on each launch for now

    I’m at the point of giving up. I have been at this for 9 days now. Ive been getting some very little help from the VRSE discord but haven’t gotten anywhere.

    I have played other VR games in the past such as Elite, DCS, Flight Sim, and others. So I know what to expect and that my system can run VR. But for what ever reason Vorpx is just giving me issues.

    Here’s everything I have done so far and the steps I have taken to get to where I am.

    1. Edit host file

    2. Delete Easy Anti Cheat

    3. Link VR headset to PC

    4. Start vorpx as admin

    5. Start SC as admin

    I have tried SCVR tool with no luck.

    I have tried different Vorpx SC profiles. (Malic suggested one with the name “dlaitini” but I have been unable to find it)

    I have tried Z-Adaptive, Z-Normal, and Geometry with the 3D strength from 0 to 5. I am using Full VR mode and toggling edge peek with middle mouse. Z-Normal seems to have some effect, but it is VERY minimal.

    I have tried running through Steam VR and just Oculus VR.

    I have tried link cable and airlink. I have tried different screen resolutions.

    I know VorpX is working with 3d. I tested this by going to cinema mode and selecting the loft scene and there is 3d there.

    I even tried loading SC, Set the render options to Geometry as someone on a discord suggested. Then I exited the game completely. After restarting SC and getting back in I still don’t have any 3d in SC. I had turned 3D up to 5.0 and nothing.

    The current result is effectively a large screen in front of my face that wraps around part of my field of vision. I do not have 6dof in my ship with track IR on in game. I have no 3d, stereoscopic vision. At this point I have no idea what step or setting I am missing. I’ve read that most people have it work right out of the box so I have no idea why I am having so many issues.

    Here are two videos I have regarding where I am at.

    System Specs are as follows
    Intel Core i7-9700k CPU
    32gig ram
    Nivida RTX 3060TI
    Both SC and Vorpx are on SSD’s
