    Hi,
I’m a sim enthousiast. I use games which are native VR , some are not. I would recommand especially 2 bus games. The first is already old but known in the community as the best bus driving sim. It’s called OMSI. The second is a TML game called Fernbus Simulator, which is the only long ride driving bus sim which exists. TML also developps 2 others games (same Unreal engine as Fernbus Sim). they’r called “Tourist bus Sim” and “the Bus”.

Writing this I’m also thinkong about the wonderfull Sspace game, Star Citizen. But that’s an other story.

Sorry, my english is not verry good.
    Best regards !

VorpX kept hooking Starcitizen_launcher.exe, the game main process cannot be recognized.I can only see the launcher window in my headset. Tried everything in basic trouble shooting.Did I miss anything?

First things first: there never has been official support for Star Citizen, pretty much because what recently happened was always a possiblity: with the latest alpha Cloud Imperium added an anticheat mechanism to the game that locks out vorpX.

That said, there is a workaround. Not as good as things were when vorpX was allowed to hook into the game, but better than nothing:

Greetings, sorry to bother you all today, but I recently tried to play Star Citizen with VorpX on my Index, the situation is a mess, VorpX refuses or either lags indefinitely asking for permission to use a hook that refuses to work due to an untrusted .dll file even upon deleting said file the problem persists back to asking for a hook. This is new for me, I have played Star Citizen in VorpX before without a single problem, now it’s a fiasco with VorpX absolutely losing it’s mind. The only thing that has changed since it last worked is that I moved Star Citizen to a totally different drive on my PC, would this cause this type of dilemma? Also, to clarify I have disabled or uninstalled most my internet virus protection to no avail. Any help in this would truly be appreciated. My thanks!

I’m trying to use Vorpx to simulate head tracking in star citizen. The first step to this is just getting VorpX working in desktop view mode. Unfortunately, while my framerate will show 60fps, the actual video feed inside the headset is unplayably choppy. What’s even stranger is that regular airlink works smooth as butter and if I click “view desktop” from within my oculus airlink app I can see the same game running very smooth and even play it from within that view. I just cant use vorpx features on it. So why is it that vorpx is unable to achieve the same performance? Is vorpx unable to use oculus’ compression or something?

Its 2022 and Start Citizen now has EAC and Vorpx is still blocked. i’m assuming no action is happening on this?

    Problem in the subject/title:
Trying to get Desktop Viewer to Work. Long time user, i create the star citizen VR tutorials using this program, and as of a few months ago Star Citizen switched over to Easy Anti Cheat.

I got a work around using Reshade (w/o depth injectors) along with opentrack and Virtual Desktop in side by side mode, but im told I can basically achieve the same thing with the VorpX desktop viewer.

i have never used this app before, and everytime I try to launch it, all it does it crash back to the Index SteamVR Home Screen after I run it. I cant get it to work at all, and have tried everything from updating windows, to cutting down to 1 monitor instead of 3.

Nothing seems to be working and was trying to figure out why it wont launch at all.

I use a full prebuilt AMD rig (6800xt and 5900x) with windows 10 that i bought from digital storm along with a valve index/steamvr that im currently running on.

Needing help to just get it to launch in any way/shape/form.

Now Star citizen is also lost to the EAC :( was the main reason I bought vorpX, total bummer. Really don t see any reason for blacklisting vorpX so sad.

Star Citizen has never been officially supported by vorpX so it’s never been on the list of supported games, as a rule of thumb no Early Access or Alpha/Beta can be officially supported as they can completely change anytime, idk why you thought it did.

Depending on the anti cheat system vorpX could still work, though whether you’d be banned for using it would be a whole other matter. Better to complain on their forums to allow vorpX to work since before they implement it imo

No idea sorry. If Star Citizen still works with vorpX after their next update, which will supposedly add an anticheat system, and thus might lock out vorpX, I’ll check whether I can somehow replicate your problem.

I’ll check Star Citizen on occasion before the next update and let you know *if* I find anything. Since there haven’t been any other reports of this issue so far, for now I consider this an isolated one. Might make sense to reset all graphics settings to default, as well as the vorpX profile. That should always be the first thing to try whenever any issue suddenly occurs that wasn’t there before.

Please also check whether the issue occurs when you switch to SteamVR instead of OpenXR in the vorpX config app.

BTW 1: There is a very in-depth (yet surprisingly entertaining) guide for Star Citizen on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrYFcH_kwnE

BTW 2: Please always keep in mind that due to it’s ongoing alpha status the game is not actually supported. Hence the according message on start. I check it occasionally, but can’t really guarantee anything.
