I don’t have AC7, but it looks like there are a few user profiles on the vorpX cloud you can try. One of them has a description link to reddit that might be what you’re looking for.
They mention something about disabling AC7’s default mouse settings for controller emulation headtracking.
Sign into the cloud through the vorpX Config app (right click in system tray) under Cloud Profiles. Search Ace Combat in the top field, select a profile and click Import profile.
That’s ok coming from someone who has probably had the software quite a while and had their moneys worth out of it.
But when you buy something and don’t get any response when there is a problem its pretty bad, especially when I messes up configurations on other software that you use regular. (ie The steamvr controller bindings)
Would you buy something from a shop, lets say a TV, and if it wasn’t working as intended you would get support for it.
So yes, you do expect support!
It is not hard to just check a forum daily to check there is no one needing support
I cant use vorpx with keyboard mouse as my pc is in a different room to where I play roomscale. And am certainly not constantly moving my sensors just to use vorpx and my keyboard mouse.
Am not actually saying vorpx doesn’t work, what am saying is its buggy and causing to many problems, and when there is no support been offered by the seller, its not good.
He obviously knows why things like my controller bindings settings are not working in steamvr now, it must be something to do with vorpx gamepad/controller mapper.
This shouldn’t be affect steamvr controller binding though when vorpx isn’t even been used, but it does. And I use the controller bindings all the time for new games, and now I don’t even have access to it, because of vorpx x.
I have even tried uninstalling steamvr and reinstalling, yet still vorpx stops the controller bindings from working
The other problem is when you start vorpx in a game, it messes up which controller is which, and even displays the wrong mapping on them.
Like the GRIP on the left controller is suppose to be SHIFT so I can access other controls on the controller, yet even though it says SHIFT on the mapping for it, the SHIFT is on the right controller, and what mapping is displayed on the right controller is actually on the left controller.
So another bug and no support to stop it happening.
Other than these problems the software works as intended from what ive seen at present. But these are big problems for someone who needs access to the steamvr controller bindings.
The wrong controller issue seems to be intermittent.
Since I used Vorpx, I cannot access my Steam VR Controller Binding Settings from with my Steam VR environment.
The VorpX software must off done something and stopped my access of this.
PLEASE HELP, this is really annoying me as I am constantly changing my bindings whilst in different games.
HI again,
Ok I went through every setting in the advanced vorpx and couldn’t see anything that changes the grip controllers function on the vive.
Have I missed something that does change the function of the grip controllers ? Or are they preset and unchangeable ?
Anyway, for now I have remapped the key for the hotkeys to holding the left grip, and pressing both triggers at same time. This is working fine, but I would rather just hold both grips as its easier!
Well I bought VorpX about 1 hour ago, and downloaded a cloud profile for ESO.VorpX attachs to the game, but I cannot access the vorpx in game settings. When I press DELETE on my keyboard, nothing happens.
I was hoping to adjust some of the settings as it doesn’t seem to play like a real vr game.
How come the Settings don’t show when I press DELETE ?
On my monitor, ESO is on full screen, and the vorpx sign is on the bottom of the screen!
In my complete opinion, TESO with Vorpx is good for immersive and cinema modes, but not with FullVR mode.
For fullVR however … TESO leaves a lot to be desired and has a lot to improve, it has nothing to do with the feeling with SkyrimVR to this day, not even with Skyrim / Fallout 3 and NV, or Dishonored and Vorpx.
TESO (along with some other games) has a big problem to tackle in order to correctly achieve the immersion in FullVR mode, for example, this one of those games that do not match its aspect ratio with the current headsetVR screens format, even if you change resolutions.
FOV weapon is extremely close to our view in widescreen, and FOV golbal does not feel enough either, without using external tools.
Here begin their two biggest problems that in turn, derives in others.
RE7 (Biohazard 7) also suffers a similar problem, but here at least, for the moment there are external tools to mitigate the problem manually, which I would like to someday be automated with Vorpx through directVR.
The theme of the current games, which have limited or do not support narrow aspect ratios, such as 5: 4 or 4: 3 among others, without the need to show upper and lower black bands, is a topic that has me especially worried at the time of achieve a full immersion with Vorpx in FullVR mode.
Hi guys,
Could I just ask a few questions about eso and vorpx as this is the game am mainly thinking of buying vorpx for.
I have a vive, and play room scale with the real Skyrim VR.
I was wondering how playing Elder Scrolls Online using vorpx compares to Skyrim VR.
Does it work roomscale?
Does looking around work the same, like looking behind me shows me what is behind me, or do I still have to turn with a controller to look behind?
I see it says I can use the vive wands, so does this mean I can map the vive wands to certain tasks and play without using keyboard and mouse, so it makes it similar to Skyrim VR ?
Does it make you feel like your actually there, like Skyrim VR?
Is there already a good profile for ESO, or would I have to make my own?
I really enjoyed Skyrim VR, and would love to continue adventuring in ESO in VR.
Any other things you might like to say about your ESO Vorpx experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks
I just read the blog. RE7 has fixed the weapon bug?? So no more weird arms??
Ralf, Im never gonna finish any game coz you just add something new cool stuff and then i have even more new games to play!
I just to way to few hours in my day :(
I have played Mass Effect with a 4k texture mod and holy shit is was awesome to be back in space!!
But I wanted to try out other third person games, so i tried Dark Souls 2… Now I have not played anything else in the last 3 weeks. DS 2 rocks!!! So i bought the hole series :)
But I didnt like the cinema mode for both games, so i tried to make it full vr mode with some tweaks and it works perfect!!! :)
The first time I started half-life 2 update, I had a hell of a time and the screen in my vive would stay black with a green outline around the upper left eye. I would still be able to hear the menu sounds and change vorpx settings, but there was no image present. I tried downloading a new cloud profile, and the game worked x2 until I messed around with some resolution settings. I am now back to square one. Black screen regardless of the profile, reset profile, factory reset vorpx, reinstalled hl2, nothing. Same problem with the black screen. I do not know what else to try. I did notice, after setting the game back to wide screen 2k without vorpx, when I do open the game it tries to set a 4:3 ratio. Any suggestions on how I can tweak this issue?
As the title states, Direct VR has suddenly stopped working without cause or reason. When I try to run the scan, only rotation takes effect (though inconsistently) and positional tracking no longer works. It also “glitches out”, displaying the “head tracking recentered” message at random intervals. My hardware is fine; everything was working fine up until about 30 minutes ago. No changes have made to my vorpx/ PC settings whatsoever. I would appreciate some help with this.
The game is fallout new vegas. Again- I’ve never had issues like this before.
Hello dear developers. Help me please. VORPX worked, everything was fine, but after a recent update it stopped running. When you click start, the program does not start and windows writes that the program has stopped working. Help please thanks in advance.
.NET Framework 4.7.2 installed
By the lack of a response I feel like I’ve asked a stupid question, which I truly don’t know the answer to.
When I click on one of the boxes in the controller mapping section, and I want it to be “blank”, meaning I want it to have no mapping, how do I do that? In some games you hit the “esc” key, but if I do that here it enters “esc”.
I don’t want anything mapped to the box in question, the one I’m trying to edit, how do I do that in vorpx?
Nothing I could do would make the vanilla GOG release work. But then I installed this unofficial patch here:
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134733
and an HD mod here:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/thief-gold-hd-texture-mod
And now it hooks. Go figure.
