Just got PCSX2 1.4.0 (PlayStation 2 emulator) to work with all games!!
The most important thing when using PCSX2 along with VorpX is to make sure in the “Configure VorpX icon” and within the “General” tab at the top, is to make sure “Enable Expert Settings” is checked off on the right hand side.
This gives you the options which make the game 3d, or as 3d as they are going to get:
So have 3d strength, Depth Weighting and Focal Distance set to max.
Also, you will need to have PCSX2 set up with these settings:
-Config/emulation settings/go to EE/IOP. In round mode select chop/zero and in clamping mode set to normal.
-Config/emulation settings/go into speedcheck. Set VU Cycle stealing = 2.It should give you 60+ fps mostly all the time. Note: leave EE Cycle rate alone, just leave it at 0 as it can cause problems.
-Config/Video/Plugin Settings. Try to at least set the graphics to 4X Native. This will take away the blurriness and smooth out the graphics. Which is a must to make the limited 3d settings in VorpX pop!
-Config/Audio/Plugin Settings. Use Linear simple okay sound. And have disable effects processing checked off.
So that’s it, enjoy your favorite PlayStation 2 games in VR/3d!!

Topic: Half-Life 2 Troubles
The first time I started half-life 2 update, I had a hell of a time and the screen in my vive would stay black with a green outline around the upper left eye. I would still be able to hear the menu sounds and change vorpx settings, but there was no image present. I tried downloading a new cloud profile, and the game worked x2 until I messed around with some resolution settings. I am now back to square one. Black screen regardless of the profile, reset profile, factory reset vorpx, reinstalled hl2, nothing. Same problem with the black screen. I do not know what else to try. I did notice, after setting the game back to wide screen 2k without vorpx, when I do open the game it tries to set a 4:3 ratio. Any suggestions on how I can tweak this issue?
On the SteamVR Video page there is a setting called like Apllication Resolution which confuses me a bit. If its it not bypassed SteamVR recommends a setting like 58%. – When i “bypass” that i can move the slider below up to 500%.
– Is this setting is relevant for VorpX at all?
– if not whats the correct setting ?
For example my game is running at 3200×1800, when i have the setting at 100% it says 2016×2240 for each eye which would be lower then my gamesetting.
I wonder if i need to adjust that each time i run a new game or can i ignore that with VorpX ?Thanks

King’s Quest 2015 (G3D)
Since there are recent posts regarding point and click adventure story driven games, I thought I share this profile based on the Life is Strange (Unreal 3) profile. Disabled one shader affecting light + shadows which has resulted in a very clean cartoonish G3D look. I only own chapter one so I cannot speak for the other chapters.
Notes:
– Use highest resolution you can, I have 3840×2160 16:19
– Profile set for Immersive mode which works really well because of edge peek
– Profile has strong 3D setting which you can change of courseI have found that on extremely close up camera scenes, just switch to edgepeek. Avoids the cross eye…lol…Other option is to lower 3D strength but I think some scenes with the different camera perspective are really cool and good looking to view in the headset with a strong G3D.
Profile uploaded to the cloud.

A Story About My Uncle (G3D)
Got this game free today through Humble Bundle. Surprisingly good in Full VR mode. The profile I uploaded to the cloud is based on the Unreal 3 game engine. I used the shader authoring tool to deal with 3 issues. Shadows, window rays and this foggy blurry game overlay have all been disabled which results in a pretty good looking in first person.
Notes:
– In game field of view to maximum (120)
– Disable motion blur
– Set to highest 4:3 resolution you can, I am using 3840×2880Profile is set to high tracking since I lowered the mouse sensitivty to 8.0 and disabled smoothing in game options. I notice this reduces camera stuttering.
If you haven’t already, try and grab this game through humble bundle for free
