    Hi Guys, I said previously that I had the DK1 and had to remove the runtime and delete everything, and it worked for about 5 minutes. After that I just kept getting the same message as I did before. I’ve just given up, and I’m kinda disappointed I can’t play Alien Isolation on my rift, but whatever. I hope it gets fixed soon, but for the time being, I just won’t use vorpx, or i’ll just downgrade if I need it.

    There is no need to use vorpx. You have to modify a file. Search in Google “alien isolation +dk2”, surely you find it.

    How do I get Alien Isolation to show on the Rift?

    I tried it with Alien Isolation and I saw the vorpx logo .. and when I pressed delete I could kind of see the menu, but it was the side by side distorted thing you mentioned.. I tried 7 days to die and I saw no logo at all .. I also tried Watch Dogs… I don’t have much else installed now … the only game that showed the vorpx logo was alien isolation..

    I guess I’ll take a look at the troubleshooting guide, my luck so far is nill :/

    Does anyone have settings for Black Mesa, Portal 1 and 2. When I play BM I have tried adjusting all the different view settings but cannot get it to look like the three Oculus games that display correctly (A for awesome, HL2 and Alien Isolation).

    At fov more than 82-90 its almost there but I can see the bottom edges of the oculus screen.

    Hi guys,

    I have an issue with Skyrim on my DK2. Everything works fine until I enable my Xbox 360 controller. Once I turn it on, I lose head tracking. Turn it off, and head tracking works again. Using SDK .43 and an original MS wireless receiver to run my 360 controller. All other games work fine in Vorpx with my 360 controller. Tried the handle gamepads internally in VorpX menu but that didn’t work. Any thoughts?

    Cheers, Nos.
    P.S. Alien Isolation is the best!!!

    By the way, you can tweak the FOV of Alien Isolation with editing the XML-File to. I copied this from Oculus forum:

    “Navigate to; Steam/SteamApps/Common/Alien_Isolation/DATA -> ENGINE_SETTINGS.XML

    and change this;

    CODE: SELECT ALL

    <Setting name=”Field Of View”> <Quality name=”47″ float=”47.0″ precedence=”7″/> <Quality name=”50″ float=”50.0″ precedence=”6″/> <Quality name=”55″ float=”55.0″ precedence=”5″/> <Quality name=”60″ float=”60.0″ precedence=”4″/> <Quality name=”65″ float=”65.0″ precedence=”3″/> <Quality name=”70″ float=”70.0″ precedence=”2″/> <Quality name=”75″ float=”75.0″ precedence=”1″/> </Setting>

    into this;

    CODE: SELECT ALL

    <Setting name=”Field Of View”> <Quality name=”47″ float=”47.0″ precedence=”7″/> <Quality name=”50″ float=”50.0″ precedence=”6″/> <Quality name=”55″ float=”55.0″ precedence=”5″/> <Quality name=”90″ float=”90.0″ precedence=”4″/> <Quality name=”100″ float=”100.0″ precedence=”3″/> <Quality name=”110″ float=”110.0″ precedence=”2″/> <Quality name=”120″ float=”120.0″ precedence=”1″/> </Setting>

    Then go in game to the Settings menu, Video, and drag the FOV bar until the number on the right becomes 120 (or 90 if you wanna start smaller).

    Hope this helps!”

    But unfortunately, the monitors in the game are still to narrow, even with a fov of 120. Like I said, edge peak would be very helpful!

    I played this yesterday and I have to say this is the Best experience on the Oculus Rift so far by a long way.
    The game it’s self is pretty much perfect, but when you look at consoles in game and information screens they can be hard to read, except the map that’s fine.
    So I look forward to Vorpx and the edge peek that would help a lot with information screens. other than that the game runs perfect in the rift..

    No problem, there is no need to use vorpx to play Alien Isolation with DK2.

    1) Modify ENGINE_SETTINGS.XML (DATA folder) change stereo options ( “Off” to “Rift”) in this way:
    <Setting name=”Stereo Mode”>
    <Quality name=”Rift” precedence=”4″/>
    </Setting>

    2) Set Oculus in extended.
    3) Pause Oculus Service.
    4) Put monitor as main screen(not Rift).
    5) Main monitor must be set to 75hz (I had to set mine from 2560 to 1024 to get 75 Hz)
    6) Start the game.
    7) Post in forum saying that Sega is GOD and must update the game to use RIFT without this settings, I hope that they don´t disable it in an update…..

    The game is not supported yet, it’s out for merely 12hrs.

    However, it should work in 2D simply by starting it from Steam. Rift as secondary, “Show only on Rift DK2” in the vorpX config app works just fine here. As always setting the game to 1920×1080 beforehand is important.

    Someone on Reddit mentioned he had to start the game windowed and then move the game window to the Rift and switch to fullscreen afterwards. None of that is necessary here though, but maybe that helps in your case.

    Irrespective of possible starting issues I would strongly suggest to be a lttle bit patient. You probably won’t regret it, a profile is being worked on right now.

    Coming (Very) Soon

    I tested it out of the box to DK2 and using DK2 as principal.
    The game starts but i only see a black screen with a pointer in DK2.
