Hello everyone, I’m a noob to these forums so please be kind😀 (only bought VorpX a couple of days ago)
Does anybody think that there will be a psvr2 headset profile option in an upcoming patch?
So far I’ve had no luck getting aliens isolation to run (still having so much fun though!).
Any help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks for your time and comments.

    Thanks Ralf,
I found out about the MotherVR mod for Alien: Isolation, and was going to try that out, which is why i was asking. But as I’m now running Windows 11, it turns out the MotherVR mod is more complicated to make work (e.g., like copying the game folder somewhere else and using a ‘mklink’ command to link the two folders).
I think I’ll be staying with the VorpX solution.

I’m playing with the Steam version of Alien: Isolation, and applied the official VorpX Profile. I’m trying the FullVR mode, and if I reduce the Image Zoom to its minimum value, I can get a relatively stable image.

If I uninstall/delete the game from Steam (to save space on the hard drive to install another game), does that remove the VorpX profile?

I’m wondering if the VorpX profile is imbedded within the game folder itself, or do I need to go under the Animation Lab folder, and delete from somewhere within there?

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

    Greetings 3D fans,

I am thinking about buying VorpX for Doom2016 and Dishonored 2!
I´m slooooooowly running out of VR games because there is not much in true AAA quality after Half-Life Alyx and Moss, only indie-stuff and 2 hour games, that´s why I want regular AAA games in VR.
Just like Alien Isolation with that Mother-Mod, wow one of the BEST games for VR out there!

But VR has one significant flaw, everything is way too small and not life-like sized, and that´s why all games need to have the SteamVR world slider set to 120% to have the world around me in authentic life-like size.
Otherwise VR would look like a completely off and strange dwarfen world with ridiculous 140cm dwarfs as NPC´s standing around, chairs and tables look like made for elementary school children, and in general everything is only half the size it should be in VR when playing without the SteamVR world slider (which is the most legendary and important option ever implemented in any program!)

The world scaling option in SteamVR solves this problem diving into some ridiculous dwarven world whenever putting on the headset, for good!

Everything looks great now thanks to SteamVR world scaling. Even the cockpits in Flight Simulator 2020 needs slight scaling correction, the Fenix Airbus has a perfect life-like size in 110%, and the DCS jetfighters look great at 115-122% world size scaling.
Alien Isolation needs SteamVR world scale adjustment of 125% otherwise small children´s hands are holding the flamethrower.
You see how important size scaling is for VR? It is the main difference between being fully immersed, or being in a strange dwarven world where nothing has the right size and scale.

So to get to the point, it is not possible for me to enjoy VR without world scaling option because only having the correct size of objects gives immersion.

X-Plane for example has no world scale slider in VR, that´s why the cockpit chairs have the size for elementary school children, ridiculous and absolute impossible to immerse myself in such a cockpit.

You see, not graphics but seeing objects in the the right proper world-like size makes a game a masterpiece or a no-go in VR. :)

    My question is:
Has VorpX a world size slider option for games like Doom2016, Dishonored 2, (and I would also love to play Outlast and Soma if possible)?
Without world scaling the immersion and sense of size and height is so off that a VR gane is not enjoyable.
I need to know if I can adjust the size of the 3D world when using VorpX for a game before buying it :)

So far I’m really enjoying the experience. I cant believe this is in VR lol

I do have a question. Is there any way to stop from zooming in when sprinting?

Also, are you guys getting a true smooth experience or does it feel a little jittery? I’m wondering if its possible to get it as smooth as alien isolation on vr. Any advice?

by SuperDepth3D you mean Reshade? I also like to use that program. Recently played Resident Evil 7 and Blair Witch with it and it ran perfectly. My brother is currently playing Metro Exodus with it and is also very satisfied.

But Tridef3D is also a very good alternative. Hellblade was a dream with it, or Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Alien Isolation and Outlast.

What games would you recommend for VorpX?
Fallout3 is already a bit too old. I loved the game back then :)

I’m afraid I didn’t understand how you do that with the zipped backups. I have never heard of such a thing. I would like to test but I have to understand that first. How can I create this .zip?

I have a BenQ W2700. I’ve been using 3D since I saw Avatar in theaters in 2009. To this day I still love this technology :)

My first projector was a Benq w1070+
It could only do 1080p but I played Hellblade with it back then. With DSR you could select a 4K resolution and it ran perfectly with Tridef. You just need the right profile for it.

Basically stuff like Dishonored, Alien Isolation etc. Games where there’s almost no shooting as I really dislike the ‘gunface’.

Sure, that’s how i play GTAO as my main account is on Steam. They’ve given away Alien Isolation too, overall they’ve given a few great games here and there and keep giving’em away so not a bad deal for free.

I’m with Oisin! RE2 is incredible, and relative to RE7 on PSVR or say Alien Isolation mother mod, I find the third person perspective in 3D to be just as intense and immersive an experience. I know there’s a lot out there about first person VR mods for RE2 and RE3, but I’ll play devils advocate and say that this kind of visual quality on a claustrophobic third person view is one of the more exciting and dazzling gaming experience of recent memory. I do wish 3D cinema mode gaming got more love and notoriety, and ultimately development… because wow, it’s an experience all of its own.

The maker of the Alien: Isolation VR mod was working full-time on a full Halo MCC VR mod (for all games) but he recently sidelined it for something else.

vorpX does work, assuming some basic steps are being followed (my thought process only):
    – After downloading a game, make sure to play the game a little first WITHOUT vopX (something about getting all files generated by playing the game).
    – Start vorpX, then open ‘Configure vorpX’; assign a profile to your desired game; make sure to ‘Apply’ or ‘Apply and Close’.
    – Start Steam VR
    – Start the game (usually get a notice on the monitor about ‘the game will be playing on your HMD as well’.
    – The game should show up in your HMD (how long it takes varies by game).

Once the game shows up in your HMD does not necessarily mean you are now playing in perfect VR. Some vorpX configuration and game configuration may be required to get a good experience (within the ‘Configuer vorpX’ option are multiple help sections to get you started; the forums can also be extremely useful).

Once you are done with vorpX, make sure to ‘turn off’ vorpX before playing other games that you’ve modded without vorpX (lie your Alien Isolation game).

I hope this helps, and best of luck to you.

Yesterday i have done full factory reset vorpX, but nothing changed. I can’t remap gamepad buttons to any keyboard keys and mouse click buttons. vorpX wait for my keys pressing and i can’t even close setting ingame menu while not wheel up or wheel down mouse connected to PC (in this case vorpX mapping gamepad button to mouse wheelup or mouse wheeldown). I was try remap gamepad buttons in others games, such as Alien Isolation and Lust from Beyond, but unsuccessfully. These games has same issue. vorpX wait for my keys pressing but do not map any keys when i press them. When i press middle mouse button i can see on/off edgepeak function of vorpX, altough ingame settings menu is open at this moment.

Hi everyone, I am hoping for help from technical support.
I have this problem. I want to use another profile and not the default one. I usually download a profile of a user from the cloud and the vorpx program warns me that there is already a profile that uses that particular .exe file. I accept and download the user’s profile by removing the exe file from the default profile. from that moment I can add the exe file in the profiles I want. I do this because for example with steam games it does not allow the modification of the game exe. now having said that my problem is that some profiles don’t download them to me. for example alien isolation, if I try to download a user profile from the cloud, I import it without telling me that the exe is already used by another profile, it immediately gives me the imported profile message. but in reality if I go to see in the local profiles, there is always only the default profile and not that of the user. this happens with some games, for example redident evil village, which is what interests me. Resident evil 7 instead works, it asks me if I want to overwrite the existing profile and then in the local profiles it shows me the user profile I downloaded. I hope Ralf reads and lends me a hand. Thank you

Mirror’s Edge is really impressive. Also played Bioshock (non-remaster) and it’s great. Working on getting Cyberpunk 2077 to look it’s best.

I’m using an MClassic, which offers a 4:3 aspect ratio option so I’m going to try and get CPunk looking as crispy as possible. I added all of Ralf’s custom resolutions to my 2080 Ti and will be playing around with it more later.

I have Alien Isolation using the MotherVR mod running incredibly and now that I added the MClassic it’s a whole new level.

Love VorpX, but really curious how “best resolution” is selected?? For example, I only played with it briefly but I couldn’t get the original Unreal to zoom out further like in Mirror’s Edge. TBH, have only spent about 2-3 hours with it thus far..
