Haven’t checked the demo myself, but it’s my understanding that DX11 has been ditched for the game, so using a DX12 Z3D profile like Cyberpunk 2077 is the right choice for the game, other potenttial candidates would be e.g. the Horizon: Zero Dawn or the the Read Dead Redemption 2 profiles.
I’ll definitely look into the title and if possible will add as much DirectVR stuff as possible. Most importantly automatic FOV and resolution, so that you won’t have to tinker with any settings.
Yeah. I was thinking about about the left and right side, and agree I was probably seeing the headset because when zoomed out using edge peak the screen is massive either side.
I have a 3080 strix oc, I managed to get cyberpunk working at 40**x20**, it was quite jittery so I moved it back +50% of 3440×1440. Its super smooth and I even had all raytracing on and dlss set to pref.
Is there no way to make custom profiles? I noticed theres ways to import other profiles in vorpx.
I suppose im just being impatient; I look forward to an updated profile. Im going to velcro a smaller cover onto my headset which will probably stop me from seeing the gap anyway.
Thanks for your hard work, it really looks great in the headset, Im blown away and thinking about restarting the whole game again to play like this once Im done tweaking the settings. The 3d looks great to me, even though its not g3d…Ive not used vorpx for a year or so until recently and do notice theres a lot that has been updated.
Another thing I noticed that with the head tracking on small movements would cause small amounts of jitter and also my headset would shift a little as I moved my head so I turned it off in this game and used the mouse and keyboard this helped also to keep my eyes deadon in the sweet-spot.
Out of desperation im going to start a request for help.

Installed cyberpunk few weeks ago and picked up and experimented with running tips. rtx on/off res up/down etc.
It ran ok up to a point then higher my seetings obviously began to stutter, lowered settings.
But it has always crashed every 5 minutes, seemingly at randowm moments. eg yesterday it crashed in the menus so that couldnt be down to strain on my system.
A week or two ago i discvovered you could load profiles from the vorpx cloud. A few didnt improve things but one profile {whether its related to the upturn in performance or not} stopped the crashing. I perfected all my sensitivities and had a few days in a row of crash free gameplay for hours on end.
Then one day i started playing, 5/6 days ago, and everything was messed up, controls were all different and crashing was back.
To this day my escape menu for settings/quit has jumped from ps4 controller {using app ds4} options button to screenshot button.
I possibly opened some mouse software in the 24hrs leading up to this but didnt map any buttons differently. Most of the other butons had changed too. And i spent days resetting sensitivities and remapping buttons.
Now im back to square one, settings altering to get as good a performance as poss before stuttering appears but the game crashes every five minuites again regardless of what cloud or local vorpx profile i use.
Ive reinstalled my graphics drivers. Ive let geforce experience optimise my settings then gradually turned some down again without success. It crashed in the menu !
So now inste4ad of being in a fine tweaking stage im in a doubt everything stage.
Is it an nvidia setting ?
Is it a vorpx setting ?
Is it a game setting ?
Incidentally it doesnt crash in pancake mode.
I love this game. But the inevitable freezing screen every five minutes is driving me mad.
Advice on getting a good quality game appearance welcome. I have a rtx 2080 super and yet play in fuzzy low res roads albeit with decent framerate.
And please someone have some advice on how to stop the crashing. A setting, a sacrifice to the gods, anything.

When I run this with the local Cyberpunk vorpx settings, with fov 115 as default, whenever I turn my head the screen tilts – does everyone get this or is it just my settings?
I’m using HP Reverb G2 on with screen resolution 2400 x 2160. I’ve kept head tracking sensitivity to 1.00.
I am also trying to play Cyberpunk 2077 on a Quest 2 and I have the same problem, black window around my field of view that is just a little bit too small. How would one go about changing this (I hope that performance is not an issue, I have a decent gpu, 2080 Ti, and I don’t mind reducing the settings).
I am a little bit confused about the field of view slider in the game settings. There is this mod, but actually I did NOT install the mod and nevertheless the slider goes up to 150 in my game settings. Was this included in a recent update or did vorpX install the mod by itself?
I have one more problem when playing CP 2077 in vorpX: The HUD has some strange “bump-mappy” artifacts. I suspect this is related to the z-Buffer technique, is there some option to avoid this (in vorpX, game settings or nvidia setting)?
Hi there.
I’am a new user and just tried Cyberpunk with VorpX. amazing!
Unfortunately i cannot control the In Game Menu. I have access to it via DEL, but after that i have no way to control it separately with my computer mouse. Despite that it is possible for me to move my head which acts as a cursor. But i cannot confirm any choice or alter settings.
Could you please assist me?
I bought vorpx just after the release of cyberpunk to check it out.
Tested it with cyberpunk and everyting worked. Now a couple of weeks later i wanted to try far cry 4 with it but i cant get it to work anymore (cyberpunk also doesnt work anymore).
I have a quest 2, use virtual desktop.
Start the oculus software, start steam, start, vorpx, apply settings for cyberpunk/far cry, start steam vr and start the game.
After this i get a error: oculus headset not found.
But the headset is working and connected with steam vr.
After this messages the game start with the vorpx logo on my pc monitor but i dont see anything on my headset.
I did search the forum (https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/getting-error-oculus-headset-not-found/) and readme but i dont have any game overlays or other program running
Disable the GOG overlay
Delete the cache

Reset CP77 Profile and do vorpx factory reset in vorpx config tool
Reset all Cyberpunk graphic settings to default and try borderless window
What’s your Headset and GPU ?
Is there a list of files which vorpX edits for Cyberpunk? I reset the settings to “pre-vorpX” using the app, but I can’t shake the feeling that the game now looks and feels… different (worse)… when back in pancake mode, somehow. Is it just my imagination? Or do I have to get rid of some .ini or something to be sure?
I tried vorpX for a bit, and though it was interesting whether in Full or Immersive mode, my “VR legs” aren’t good enough yet to handle motion sickness in Cyberpunk 2077 ):
Can confirm as of updating yesterday I had crash on startup. Resetting cyberpunk vorpx settings to default fixed it.
OK, newbie vorpx user here. I’m looking for some suggestions on how to improve Cyberpunk 2077 vorpx gameplay. I just bought cyberpunk 2077/vorpx and have loaded the default vorpx cyberpunk 2077 profile. Vorpx has modified the settings and vorpx is hooking into the game fine. Whenever I play the game in vorpx things are ~ok, I see 35 / 70 fps when not much is going on but after a while (or if there’s a lot of “action”) framerates can drop down to single digits and it’s a miserable experience. Playing the game outside of vorpx (2d) I see 70-100+ fps. I would love for vorpx to work out so looking for any suggestions here.

Hi guys
G2 arrived yesterday and after 60h on monitor I can finally move with cyberpunk to vr! :)
3200×2400 resolution works great with dlss on quality (rtx3800) and while I tried turning on raytracing and using dlss ultra-performance settings as others suggested I really don’t think it’s worth it as the image becomes extremely mushy. I like what raytracing does in this game but with those strong dlss settings it feels like I’m on og vive again lol
Anyway, I have a question about how to prevent vorpx changing my resolution to 1024×728 every time I start the game as it driving me nuts? ;)
I have tested both the Steam and the GoG version for several hours now and am confident to say that there are no crash conditions in conjunction with using vorpX. The only vorpX related crash condition was a conflict on AMD Radeon cards in some nVidia code the game uses, which apparently does something else on AMD GPUs than it does on nVidia GPUs. That has been fixed with yesterday’s update.
The best advice I can give you is resetting the profile to default in the vorpX config app, using the latest GPU drivers, not cranking everything up to max in the game’s graphics options and checking for potential conflicts with interfering background apps on your PC that also hook into games.
Just in case: if you happen to overclock anything in your PC, try with default clock rates.
Hi guys,
I definitely have a VorpX related crash condition since the update to 21.1.1.
My Cyberpunk profile includes the following:
– Cinema Mode, curved with ambient background, no AA
– Custom resolution ingame wqhd 2516 x 1440, ingame settings all maxed out
– No 3D, Crystal clear: normal
– Removed hud scaling from default profile: Set scaling to 1:1
– VorpX may not change any game settings (didn’t work any better with this option enabled and I prefer having full control on my own)
My hardware scenario:
– 3 monitors with 1920 x 1200 resolution (thus needed to use custom resolution for wqhd support)
– Valve Index HMD
– RTX 3090 (support for maximum raytracing and dlss on)
– i7 5820k 6x 3,8Ghz HT 12 Threads
– GPU no OC
– CPU stable OC ~8% (for years already)
Now when I launch Cyberpunk it seems like I have a 30% chance that the game does not crash after displaying the CD Project Red Logo. I wasn’t able to find the root cause so far. Tried different vorpX settings, different hooking and stuff but to be honest, I just want to play and don’t want to waste my time with troubleshooting atm.
If it does not crash right before start screen, everything runs perfectly fine and I can play for hours without any issues.
The game never crashes when I reset the profile to default. I am able to setup all my preferences in this session and can also play without any issues but of course this is very annoying in front of every gaming session because after closing and restarting the game, the same issue reappears.
It most likely has something to do with my custom resolution or the VorpX PoV changes. The whole part with ingame resolution (VorpX resolution settings) was changed with this update and maybe there is some sort of bug with custom resolutions? All I know is that this issue immediately appeared right after updating to 21.1.1 and never appeared before.
The game also never crashes during startup when I am running it without VorpX.
Hope this information can help you identifying the issue.
Kind regards,
Sairai
Due to the lack of 3D reconstruction, I decided to reset VorpX to factory settings. This reset VorpX to default settings. So now Cyberpunk starts in VR mode with 3D enabled to correct settings. It looks like this update has the hacked FOV settings, they look great and it’s having me reconsider using VR mode now instead of immersive screen.
One issue. My middle mouse button that is the scroll wheel is physically broken as a mouse button. The scroll wheel works, but the middle mouse button function of the scrollwheel is broken. So I am unable to use edgepeek in the default settings. No problem right? I can just change the in-game bindings right. Well I changed it to Mouse X1 which is my mouse’s left side button. Unfortunately despite changing this keybinding in VorpX and confirming it’s saved, it doesn’t work when I try to enter edge peak mode. I remember having a similar problem like a year ago too. No matter what I do, I can’t remap it to Mouse X1. Would it be possible to look into this Ralf? I am having this issue right after a factory reset too. Otherwise everything is perfect!
I just got the new VorpX version downloaded to my PC (Version 21.1.1).
Cyberpunk starts with 3D reconstruction turned off by default after the update and I have to set it back to Z-normal and increase the 3D effect to 2.0. Any ideas why this behavior happened? Before this update my settings were tweaked a bit because I changed it from VR mode to Immersive Screen mode but other than that I left it alone.
