I also bought the gog version to support the developer!
Start oculus, VorpX (choose lokal Cyberpunk), Steam VR, then gog Cyberpunk with galaxy… (ingame FOV 100) thats it for me!
Still working for me! But the fps really sucks.. even with 1920×1080
i5 4570 3,2 Ghz, GeForce 1080, 16 GB RAM, SSD, Oculus quest 2
Tomorrow i get my new Ryzen 9 5900X. Maybe it will work a bit better then.
Otherwise I wait for my next GPU update GeForce 4080 next year.
I play 1080p Ultra without VR and i am fine now :)
Using VorpX 21.1.0.2, GOG CyberPunk 2077 1.0.4, Reverb G2, GTX-1080TI, 8700K, 16GB, 1920×1080 monitor
I am new to VorpX so forgive me if this is PEBKAC, but I start SteamVR which eventually then opens up WMR. Then I click “Start VorpX” and then select “Cyberpunk 2077 -> Apply & Close”. Then I start Cyberpunk 2077 and it just goes through its usual motions and VorpX just doesn’t attach. Even tried the “Alternative Hooking Method”.
Can someone suggest some alternative settings in CyberPunk because I usually find if those are wrong/bad in a game then VorpX won’t attach. I’ve tried 1280×960 as a screen resolution as well as just 1920×1080 – neither work :(
I play the GOG version of cyberpunk and my game crashes (freezes) when i leave the VorpX menu with “OK” or “OK & Save”.
I use the GOG Version of cyberpunk, but have it running with a WMR headset (HP Reverb G1). I just launched WMR, then VorpX and then Cyberpunk from GOG. Works fine.
Very nice video. I just tried that with my Reverb G1 which has the same resolutino as the G2. Unfortunately i only have a GTX 1080Ti which is too weak for Cyberpunk in VR. I only get “Game 15Fps, headset 45FPs”. If i turn down the resolution to 1080p it runs fine but doesn’t look nice.
I think Gears5 is dx12, so despite being an Unreal Engine 4 game, no existing profile for that engine will work. You can try one of the four dx12 profiles that do exist (Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Cyberpunk2077).
@ Ecnarps : vorpX should ask whether you want to install a profile database update when you launch it. That will include the updated profile. If that fails for some reason, you can grab the latest profile manually from the cloud profiles page in the config app, it’s named Cyberpunk 2077 [vorpX]. That is not necessary though if you get the database pop-up on start.
Finally got a CPU (5900x), can’t wait to throw it in my PC, complete my build, download vorpx/cyberpunk
I’m not 100% sure — I’m just guessing based on the thread around Cyberpunk blocking the virtual input (Steam Controller mouse input) while the VorpX emulated mouse still worked — so they are obviously different somehow.
If I play the game normally with the Steam Controller or DualShock 4 (gamepad + mouse input on the gyro and the hex edit from Reddit) the UI doesn’t flicker, but VorpX still does (since the game somehow things the VorpX mouse is a hardware device).
Edit: More info here https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/kamugy/cant_play_cyberpunk_2077_as_a_disabled_person/
This is a bug – someone on Reddit was able to find a fix and I can confirm it works. https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/kb73fr/fix_for_virtual_input_not_working/
Unfortunately VorpX actually DOESN’T use virtual input so the UI keeps flipping between controller and keyboard prompts.

ive set fov in game to 100. my desktop resolution is 4kx2k,3840×2160
It loads up and plays fine but i can see borders like its a moving cinema. What i see through the cinema window is satisfactory i think. Its definitely 3d. I have it turned up to 3.0 i think, in game. Its not super high resolution sharp but it looks pretty good and im reasonably happy with the game i see through this cinema window.
But the youtubers ive seen playing it through their headsets done have this window effect so im wanting to increase immersion by fitting it fully to my view.
i dabbled with the zoom in vorpx and it went away but i wasnt impressed with the zoom effected view i was then left with. Eveything too close.
Ive found a discussion stating you can change a line of text in the code to make max fov 110 and ive just done that. im yet to see if thats improved it but past this im hitting a newbie vorpx knowledge wall so thought id request the help of some vorpxers with more experience.
any help appreciated.

Hi, I’m new. I’ve bought Vorpx for play Cyberpunk 2077. I’ve the HP Reverb G1 and I’ve some questions:
1. In the menus, if I move the head, the menus also moves so for read some text in the limits, I’ve to move the eyes without move the head.
2. In game, I see a lot the limits of the screen, so I wonder if I can make the image bigger.
3. The HP resolution is 2160×2160, but in the game settings I can only select up to 1920×1080. Can I improve the resolution?
4. In Nexus mod it’s available a mod that can change the FOV above 100. It will work with Vorpx?
5. The HUD is in the borders, and I can’t see the borders moving the head. It is possible to reduce the HUD?
Thank you very much in advance.
@ Ogrescar: there must be something that gets in the way. I’m sure there would be more posts like yours here if there was some general hooking issue. Since you are quite versed using vorpX you probably did that already, but just in case you didn’t, going through the trouble shooting guide in regard to hooking conflicts is worth a shot.
The game should also work fine with the latest nVidia drivers (460.79), which were released just yesterday specifically for Cyberpunk 2077, a driver downgrade should definitely not be necessary.
G3D might not work at the moment, but Z3D is looking fantastic (and I normally prefer G3D if available and my system can handle it) and performance is great.
How is everyone playing Cyberpunk? Right now I’m playing it sitting, but eventually I’d like to play it standing with a wireless controller or Vive wands like I did Fallout New Vegas.
“Also, just in case, a little reminder that routinely belongs into every answer to ‘my games crashes’ posts in this universe: overclocking is evil.”
Yeah I don’t overclock personally due to stability concerns
“No double posts please. Thanks. I have removed your other post. I don’t have an answer for every question within an hour, sorry for that. I also experienced two seemingly random crashes yesterday during approx. three hours of play time. Not good, of course, but nothing game breaking. I’ll keep an eye on the matter. For the time being please simply continue from the last auto save, which luckily are created quite often.”
Sorry about that. I’ve been messing around with settings in Cyberpunk to try to get it more stable. If I run it in low with auto resolution scaling disabled it seems to run more stable, though I can still occasionally crash but it is less common at least. If it looks stable, I might flip on another detail to see if stability continues.
Performance is great though and the 3D depth is fantastic which really enhances the atmospheric graphics. Z3D is an unsung hero that people are way too dismissive of.
