You must download Streamer App from: vrdesktop.net

You must have VorpX installed and load the following profile:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Oza84XmCZVNNtJQHSJ26eI4IvU9F-a6k/view?usp=sharing

You must download Halo Infinite from Steam, and you must enable Oculus Rift link to your PC for it to start.

Confirmed to work Oculus Link on Meta Quest 2

    Hey everyone,

So i used this mod a few years ago and the modauthor ended up ‘hiding’ it on Nexusmods, making it impossible to download. Someone else made a First Person Mod – but they dont show the weapons in your hand, this one does, so it really turns Andromeda into a pretty incredible First Person Shooter. I did some digging over the course of the last few days and found a link for it that works with Frosty Mod Manager. I tried getting it to work with the “EA Games” app version of Mass Effect Andromeda and was unsuccessful – I then downloaded the Steam version of the game and got it to work.

It is actually quite well done and makes for a pretty solid first person VR experience.

Here is a short bit of gameplay so you can see if it might interest you:

Here is the link for the mod:
    https://mega.nz/file/AHQn2QIB#iLT-eh5oAmBtPd1bm1UQZa9D2Eauv7fWbEkMprelALo

And youll need Frosty Mod Manager to use it, its the option on the right, just click “Download” under “Mod Manager”:
    https://frostytoolsuite.com/downloads.html

Place the files into whatever folder you like for the mod and the Mod Manager. Run the Mod Manager in Admin mode. If youre using Steam, I had to select the “New” option on the bottom right and direct it to the game’s .exe. Most people will have that under Program Files(x86) – Steam – Steamapps – Common – Mass Effect Andromeda. Choose the file named MassEffectAndromeda.exe

Once youve selected that, it should populate on the Mod Manager’s main page, select the game and then on the bottom right of the Mod Manager choose “Select”

Now that you have the Mod Manager attached to ME Andromeda, on the top left corner there is an option to “Add Mod(s)”; select that and then just select the Mod’s zip folder, wherever you installed it; it should be called “First Person Toggle 1.2-771-1-2-1564773598.zip”

No need to unzip the file, the Mod Manager will handle that.

Now that you have the mod populated in the Mod’s list, select it and press “Apply Mods”, it should be near the center of the Mod Manager’s screen. Once its “applied”, make sure the box is checked in and then, from the Mod Manager, press “Launch”, toward the top of the window. It will boot the game up and apply the mod.

You can shift in and out of First Person by holding down on the Dpad of your controller.

Go ahead and get it modded and running properly, then use Vorpx to turn it into a VR game.

Hope you guys can enjoy, its alot of fun – I know the game gets a rough rap overall but the combat in First Person VR is realy quite exciting. I recommend playing the character with the “Charge” attack, but, make whatever you like – its just fun to be in VR and teleport like 40 feet at someone and get up in their grill with a shotgun.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It -MIGHT- work with EA’s Game launcher or Origin, but I didnt have success with it. If you try to get it to work with those and it doesnt – You can get “EA Play” on Steam for 4.99 for a month and make sure the game is up and running for you for just 5 bucks. But Vorpx has an official profile for the game – and while I found Geometry 3d to be glitchy, the Zadaptive and Znormal options look great.

    Take care folks!

Try to put it in the [vorpX]/Plugins folder alongside the vpxRDR2.dll instead. As far as I can see the Nexus download only contains the ScriptHook DLL, not the ScriptHook loader, it never gets loaded when you just put the ScriptHook DLL in the game folder. vorpX can alternatively load it from its plugin folder.

If that still doesn’t work, you have to wait for the official ScriptHook update from its actual maintainer as linked in my post above, anything else may not work fully. The actual author is the only one who can fully fix his library when a game update breaks it.

    Update:

The hacky ScriptHook update from Nexus doesn’t seem to support some functions that the vorpX mod utilizes for stereo 3d and head tracking, so no dice. Until an official, fully working ScriptHook update becomes available switching the ‘Play Style’ option to ‘Immersive Screen’ and ‘3D-Reconstruction’ to ‘Z Normal’ in the vorpX menu is the best workaround.

Whenever a new game update gets released that the mod doesn’t cover yet, it displays a message suggesting to install the latest version of the Cyber Engine Tweaks modding framework. CET has to be be updated for each Cyberpunk release, which should usually fix the mod after a Cyberpunk update.

The link below has detailed instructions:
    https://wiki.redmodding.org/cyber-engine-tweaks/getting-started/installing

    Edit:

If you prefer to reinstall the full mod, a new build is now available. Just updating CET following the link above is enough though. Note that I only included the latest CET in the installer, the mod version itself is the same as before, so you’ll still get a version warning.

It disables the forced TAA in the game. Download and install the ini file version (the second link in the files section) this will also cause DLSS not to work, but the trade off may be worth it.

It’s a major bummer than DLSS is (I think) *always* tied the use of TAA. Hopefully this will someday change. Unfortunately TAA must be super-easy to implement or something, because soooooo many current games offer only TAA; and it’s *ghastly horrible!*

With Cyberpunk disabling TAA causes other issues at well; weird lighting glitches etc. I’ve tried it OFF, and have so-far found so many other problems that I’ve just left it on.

May have found a bug. When I set Cap FPS to off that setting specifically doesnt persist. Next time I launch the game its On again.

But on to other awesome discoveries.

Disabling TAA totally improves the image quality. All of the hazy ghosting that happens around the edges of objects is gone. The trade of is a bit more aliasing/shimmering but I’d take some crisp jaggy edges over fuzzy ghosting.

You can mitigate some of the aliasing by raising the resolution.

I’ve been reading online about a few more people (without vorpX) having severe FPS drops for several seconds related to the inventory and map, specifically. Lots of unconfirmed theories about it being related to GPU, video memory, DLSS, etc, but a recurring comment is the problem gets worse at higher graphics settings and resolutions. My guess is there’s an existing issue with v1.5 that only affects a few people, and normally just causes a 5-second lag spike, but it interacts with the VR mod in a bad way. The fix might have to come from CD Projekt Red? That said, I only ever crash out with the VR mod installed, not once while playing pancake.

I started clean, again: removed CET and the mod, and checked integrity of the game files in Steam. (Every time I do that after installing-and-removing CET and the mod, one or two small files fail integrity and get re-downloaded?) Then I got the latest CET and installed it manually (instead of using Vortex, thanks for the link above, Ralf!) and then the latest VR mod. Then I played for 2 hours with no crashes. (On my saved game with 100 hours played.) I completed several gigs, drove all around town, checked the map, looked at my inventory a few times. Then back to V’s apartment to change my loadout from my stash, and the crashes are back, every time. It seems worse in the apartment… or maybe that’s just where I usually change my loadout, from my stash?

So clean install again and tried to start a new game, but it always crashes — I’ve tried four times — right after character creation, before the game starts, 3/4 through the loading progress bar. I can’t start a new game with the VR mod installed. Maybe that’s related? I hope Jools92 and xt4k can confirm.

Then I removed the VR mod and started new and played through the intro until the first mission (The Rescue) where I could save and also change my inventory. Before exiting I open inventory several times with no problem. Then I re-installed VR, changed no settings at all, opened that saved game, and immediately crashed when exiting inventory. That’s with a new character, no mods except CET, all default settings.

Since then I’ve just been opening my same old saved game and trying everything to turn the problem on or off. It’s maddeningly inconsistent. I open the save (in V’s apartment) and just open and close the inventory screen, and crash out, 3 times in a row. But when I open that save then walk out into the hallway and back in, then it doesn’t crash no matter what I do. Then for a while I can open that save and I can’t make it crash. Later I open that same save and reliably crash again, every time. A few more times I’ve removed the VR mod and then no matter what I do it never crashes. Reinstall the VR mod and it starts crashing again. I even tried using SteamVR instead of OpenXR but it still crashed.

I have confirmed that I can crash just by opening and exiting the inventory, map, or crafting screens; I don’t need to actually change my loadout. And it never crashes from the journal or character screens, or just the game menu, even though they all toggle edge-peek — it must be related to the 3D rendering of V or the city map or the weapons and armor. Also, when I change the in-game resolution up to 3840×2160 then I’m almost certain to crash every time. But I have also kept the resolution at the VR mod default or even lowered it to 1280×720 and still crashed there too, but it seems less often at lower res.

It feels to me like there’s, I dunno, a graphics memory leak or bad address? Related to the 3D rendering of objects in those menus, and maybe only with certain hardware? The game gets into a state where exiting inventory is the trigger, and the VR mod makes it worse, but neither is the root cause, something else happens first. And that state can sometimes be changed by just walking around.

Thanks! Got even nicer since an hour or so with hand aiming while aiming down sights.

You have to download it manually from the regular mod download page. That always links to the latest version. I think I’ll add an update check with the next larger release, the 1.5 Cyberpunk update probably wasn’t the last that breaks the mod.

You have to enter the same mail address into the download form that you used to register vorpX. The address you used to register here on the forum is not in the license database. The system does not send links to unknown mail addresses.

No problem here with Chrome and Firefox. If you happen to use any other AV program than Windows Defender, check whether that might cause the problem.

Also please try this page for downloading, not any direct link.
