Not sure if I understand the issue. Do you mean the launcher window or the ingame menu? If it’s the latter, you can also navigate that with cursor keys + enter.

You can re-assign shortcuts in the vorpX config app, but only to keyboard keys and mouse buttons. A wireless mouse with recentering bound to one of the mouse buttons might be a viable idea in your scenario.

Currently the Rocket League profile only supports DX 9 so i have to run RL in -dx9 mode. I’ve noticed several things no longer work that I would like to try fixing by running under dx11.

    -Replays don’t save
-can’t chat in game (t and y keys don’t bring up chat box, but if I pause and arrow up to chat box that works)
    -can’t use bakkesmod

I realize we’re at Ralf’s mercy for updating the base profile, but want to try use another game profile if possible even if it’s not quite as good. Any easy way to find out which profiles are already UE w/ dx11?

Finally got Brutal Legend running pretty well for me. Has anyone found any workarounds for keys you are supposed to use on keyboard. How are players handling the Esc key and the Q key on the keyboard. These are the two keys so far having issues with.

Im having the same issue with this game and some other games. There are other games where the mouse cursor works fine. It seems that on the games where the mouse pointer disappears Im also not able to use the hotkeys like alt-f and alt-c etc. Ive played with the setting alt overide on and off and I cant get it to work in any of the games with the issue. so maybe it would come back if i could press alt c.

Please don’t use the contact form for requesting keys if you want to avoid delays. Instead send key requests to the e-mail address that is mentioned in the license dialog. Only key request mails sent to the proper mail address can be answered automatically without delays.

I’m not really sure whether I understand the issue TBH. What are you pressing the Windows keys for? There should be no reason to do that while in the game.

With default configuration you should see the currently mapped keys overlayed over the controller. if that is not the case for some reason, you can change the ‘Controller Visualization’ option in the vorpX menu to show the overlay.

Not sure about the menu button, normally EdgePeek is hardcoded to the right grip button, not the menu button. Does that work for you?

What i was hoping for was moving the mouse by pointing the controller. Just like you could in steam desktop mode or oculus. In combination with the cinematic view and the ability to rebind keys this would have been perfect. Do not see the point using a touch controller in games like xcom if you have to move the mouse with a joystick.

    Anyways thank for the reply.

Just tried the game for about half an hour, driving around, changing cars frequently, switching back and forth between gamepad and keyboard/mouse. No such issue here.

If by any chance you have altered any input related settings in the vorpX menu, please reset the profile to default in the config app. I don’t really have an idea how vorpX could possibly cause your problem, but just any case.

Apart from that like mentioned above I would most likely suspect the game to be losing input focus for some reason when your keys stop to work. Clicking into the game window would resolve that.

    Hi,

when you have installed the fixmanager, then you also need to start any compatible game via the fixmanager.
The manager will detect your installed Games and you will find then the list in the left section.
When you choose one game, there are 3 Options then : “Play 2D” “Play 3D” “Install 3D Fix”
Make sure that 3D is activated in the right corner above.
It will also automaticaly enable if its not activated.
The fixmanager installs an “modified custom 3D Nvidia Vision driver, this is why everything will be controlled by the fix manager.

So it will only start in 3D Mode, when you start a game via the Fixmanager.

Also i recommend to download the “RivaTuner Statistics Server” for accessing all features of 3D Fix Manager.
This eliminates micro stuttering, reduces input lag and improves frametimes for stereo 3D mode.
You find it also under the Fixmanager download link.

This is how to get Side by Side:

    In the manager go to:

Settings –> Display Profiles –> Monitor Profile

Tick the Box: “Preferred 3D Format” and set it to “Side by Side”.
In default its set to Regular 3D Vision Frame Sequential

I also recommend to enable in

Settings –> Nvidia 3D Settings –> Advanced Hotkeys, so you can control the convergence, which is a must, to make the 3D Effect really good. The best is, when the character pops out a little bit.

In game via CTRL + F3 (best to hold the keys) you can decrease the 3D depth
with CTRL + F4 you increase the strenght.

CTRl + ALT + F11 is like changing to Z3D/G3D

The fixmanager also offers 3 differtent Profiles, Monitor, Beamer and TV.
i would recommend to set there also all to SBS via ticking the box.

In Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain, when you use any hotkey you will get feedback by changing the 3D Strength.
In the Darkness 2 (DirectX9) you dont get any feedback, but it works.

In case the game is not in SBS 3D, press CTRL+ T to enable or disable it manually.

U dont need to install any more or something the fixmanager will automatically install all requred drivers. So it will automatically install the correct 3D fix for Directx9 and so on. You only need to start the game via the manager.

I’m having a problem with GTAV and VorpX. It boots up just fine, and I can play around just fine for roughly 5-10 sometimes 15 minutes but somewhere down the line, I loose full support for my mouse wheel and certain keys stop working. Most of them related to weapons and entering/exiting vehicle function which leaves me stuck to do absolutely nothing.

It’s weird because it works just fine at start up.

I have tried excluding windowsmixedreality.exe (im playing on MWR headset) from VorpX but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. I am all out of options. PLEASE HELP!

Got it working perfectly by using xpadder and then overriding the Xbox pad in vorpx menu. Changed 2 conflicting keys in the pad config and now it is perfect but for a very slight bit of warping in the world.

    Thanks again,this is epic.

Yay! Ralf helped me out! These keys are no longer required for shader authoring. Hence, support not responding.

If I can get the HAWX profile working, I’ll be the first to create a new topic!

This thread can be nuked from orbit.

    Thank you Ralf!

    Hello,

I have attempted on many occasions to obtain advanced authoring keys; however the support e-mail specified in the software does not respond to such requests.

Please modify the software to not promise responses from this e-mail; as well as confirm the exclusivity of such keys. They do not, as the software suggests, respond “within 24 hours.”

    Thanks,
    Rob
